Welcome to NY! I love Coney Island. I have not ridden on Cyclone, but I have been on the Wonder Wheel. It is the greatest. It was the inspiration for the Disneyland Mickey Wheel. Built in 1920 . Thanks for mentioning the movie " Brooklyn" . One of my favorites. If you ever comeback to the NYC area, you need to visit Rye Playland in Rye, NY and try the Dragon Coaster. Excellent video Ryan. Honestly I love your documentary style content. I'm from the UK and I guess Coney Island is comparable to our Blackpool Pleasure Beach in terms of history, and a sort of decline in sea front attractions. Keep up the amazing work, your videos are fantastic

For one I’m surprised u didn’t mention the movie big filmed there 😊 Also fun fact Lucy the elephant is still standing in margate nj. I’m from here and we’re also the home of monopoly, there are actual game pieces on the areas like Marvin gardens and all. If u ever head to south jersey I can always show u around. Cape may and Atlantic City have a lot of history ❤
So Big was actually on my list originally, but with further research I found out that it was actually filmed in Rye, New York! A trip to the Jersey shore is definitely something that I and Kristen have discussed in the past, we just have to make sure we got the right stuff planned before making it happen! 😅 Thank you so much for watching 🙏

My cousin lived blocks away from C I. I was 10 when I went to C I at night. It was the scariest, most fun, no adult supervision experience I ever had...did mention it was 1978🤔😁...Mike

See here’s the thing, as of today, it is most definitely an amusement park. But considering the amount of heavy filming and immersive of both Luna Park and dreamland back in the early 1900s. I feel like they definitely would be considered theme parks. So i tried my best to uses them interchangeably like i did 🤷♂️ Thank you so much for watching 🙏
