For seams just lay carpet edges over each other and cut through both at one time, boom perfectly seamed! I did one of these for my patio and have my Terraforno Pizza Oven there, it’s heavenly....

The biggest con is - artificial grass mats require high maintenance. And the maintenance is tough as well. The mats start stinking in a few months and the floor underneath actually develops fungus especially if you stay in a high humid climate. To prevent that means double work. Clean the carpets as well as scrub floors. Also quite a lot of water to hose down the dirt from carpets.
The aesthetic effect is beautiful. Just need to consider maintenance 6 months down the line.
I was going to ask a detailed maintenance question but you answered it before hand 😊

As a large number of people seem to have read my comment so here's a couple of heads up which I didn't mention earlier.
1. My 3 year old niece spilled Bournvita milk on the mat and the resultant cleaning was a nightmare. Watch out for spills of the sticky kind. Colas, teas and coffees etc. Invites ants.
2. If you don't have a bird net in your balcony remember you'll be dealing with bird droppings on the intricate grass patterns (especially pigeons).
Not discouraging - just few things to keep in mind .

I had put this (with drainage holes)in my balcony, I was surprised to see lots of mosquitoes there but failed to find out cause. One day when I removed it, thousands of mosquitoes breed underneath. Be careful during summer n rainy days.

Hi If you want water to drain towards the drainage, add 20 mm draincell beneath the grass.
does rain water stay and make the turf heavier on balcony or it flows out thru the holes without increasing the weight...
When I had put it in my house I saw some birds started coming but, what shocked me to the core was that, those birds were eating it too by confusing it with real grass.
That's why it's a big NO for me.
Not eating .plucking it to build its nest .but it can get in their stomach accidentally .

They are taking these grass to build nests. Sometimes they bite my rope in balcony

Nice! Been watching your vids recently. 😀 was thinking of having this kind of grass as well for my plants in our roofdeck. However, i have observed that birds love to play around the pot soil and sometimes peck on leaves of my plants, which means i would have to do a lot of vacuum cleaning everytime. I see you worked on an open space, what about rain, wouldn't that be a problem?
