    So I'm wondering where this kinda data is available? New to warcry and interested in diving into the data, but only a few people play locally

      I'm having this issue too. I'm new to and I'm really into data for all games but I can't even find info on tournaments. I love warcry and so far it's just my friends and I that play locally.

      So you guys can look up individual tournaments on Wartally.com
      As for all-aronud stats, wartally publishes some raw data on their site. I need to find a way to publish google sheets so I can make this stuff easier to access.

    This is a good reminder that the complexity of the game and the factions therein is sufficient that there is a bit of a puzzle to figuring out the best way or ways to get the most out of any given one, and that the answer or answers might not be obvious or the most commonly repeated advice, especially in a comparatively limited field.
    Bit of rational whiplash in this one, though. Starts out discussing the extent to which the numerous variables at play, such as imperfect player input, confound attempts to read the results straight -- all well and good -- and then about half-way through announces a dismissal of any consideration of sample size in data analysis -- except perhaps when raised by the Expert. This is starting to sound like faith-based statistics, or worse some sort of New Age Gnostic cult. What should we make of win-rates when Venus is in ascendance? Or do we learn that when we reach Level Three in the Program?

    Great video as always. How do you feel about the Mindstealer for Jade Obelisk? Does it bring too much contention for ability dice?

    • @thesaltyseagames
      @thesaltyseagames  25 дней назад

      @_tralfamadan8894 nah I think it can work great. Jade Obelisk really just want to Rock Shattering Blow over and over, so the Sphiranx having a double doesn't compete with that too much.

    Armator meme list primer! From someone who has played it in a solid 50% of my casual league games.
    Listbuilding:
    ----------
    Warband Roster
    995pts | 10 fighters
    - Dominar (170pts, Hero)
    - Ephilim The Unknowable (145pts, Hero)
    - Spawnmaw (105pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Apo'trax, the Starefysh (70pts)
    - Kindlefinger (55pts)
    ----------
    ```
    Pick your favorite speedy UW team (Skabbik, Godsworn Hunt, Kaghra, the non-Vex part of discord, or Ephilim as shown) fill out list with armators and bless Dominar with damage if you need more killing power or have the points. You can also go pure like this:
    ----------
    Warband Roster
    930pts | 8 fighters
    - Dominar (170pts, Hero)
    - Ogor Breacher (220pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    - Armator (90pts)
    ----------
    and it works fine Armators aren't the worst rampage targets if your Ogor dies
    Strats:
    Reaction is key 15w goes by fast against big bois so make sure things in range of your op's ogre can react. Make your op deal with the Armators, your fast stuff should be running away from anything it can't assassinate. Avoid waiting with Armators in most situations, they need all their movement and if your op has any chaff you're trading down on actions.
    I think if you want to win tournaments this is not it (they have all the matchup problems of IJ but none of the auto-win tools that make IJ hard to deal with) but I bought 6 armators off ebay (that I need to prime ;-; ) so that tells you how much i like it
    As one that loves Gitz and played tournaments, but I am far from a good player, so their stats get punished for me. They are just so full of character so I enjoy then. Defiantly don't play them right, BUT there isn't a lot of info out there on them. Lots of team lists - but we all no team lists are no good if not played well. They have lots of great tricks and moves, however bad dice tend to hurt them a LOT in my experience
    • @Xelcir
      @Xelcir 25 дней назад +1
      As someone who plays them a lot, but will probably never make it to a tourney. I think they can lean on their control aspects to mitigate their dependency on dice.
    • @thesaltyseagames
      @thesaltyseagames  25 дней назад +1
      I agree with Evan that a lot of what makes dice punishing for them is when we push them forward aggressively. It's a bit counter-intuitive, since their sculpts are so jovial and silly, but their playstyle is very controlling.
