A 3582 isnt going to spool like a mhi-18k will. Going to sacrifice spool for the harder hit up top. The compression is 8.8:1, but i want to put it back to the stock 9.5:1, the redline starts at 7200 RPMs, but i don't want the boost coming in at 4000+ RPMs. What turbine housing is recommended to swap to? I really don't want to buy a new complete turbo if i don't have to. Cool video🏆
Yeah the evos can handle more power than a Subaru but I still wouldn’t call them reliable. Wrx’s are great daily’s in the 300whp range but past that you’ll need a built block. Good luck with this build; it’s an in-line so not as much of a pain to rebuild as a boxer

I just put a g30-900 w/T4 1.06 housing on my GTR. Haven't dynod yet but it seems to spool quicker than even my smaller s360sx. Really looking forward to seeing your results as there isn't a lot on the g30-900.
Down the moneypit we go lol.
A 3582 isnt going to spool like a mhi-18k will. Going to sacrifice spool for the harder hit up top. Turbo seems unnecessary for the application so excited to see what the new turbo can do drivability wise. 4b11t is a plenty capable motor but as with anything in the industry, its pay to play. Car has changed hands a few times and obviously since Bens purchase, it needs some tlc and some things buttoned up before its ready to shine.
With the cliff hanger! 😭
What a plot twist!!💀💀
Damn man sorry about the evo pulling a subie move on you. I know that you and Ron will be able to fix it all up
waiting for road trip
Do you guys check anything while in Minnesota!
This is an education for my future build. I have a GT3582R that i plan to put on a 2.4L (4) cylinder engine. Cool video🏆
Sucks the head gasket is bad but as on a incredibly modded motor making 700hp, that wasn't well cared for are you really that surprised?
Yeah the evos can handle more power than a Subaru but I still wouldn’t call them reliable. Wrx’s are great daily’s in the 300whp range but past that you’ll need a built block. Good luck with this build; it’s an in-line so not as much of a pain to rebuild as a boxer
bro this man has a new car every time i rediscover this channel lmao
RS Motors FTW!
Man a gt3582 is considered old now lol. Still going strong for me. G30 looks nice tho
i have a garrett t3 that i had professionally rebuilt for my car. old is gold bb
Sad stuff at the end. Don't want to sound like a JDM hater but from my friend groups everyone who has chased power has eventually moved onto German vehicles for their stout powertrain. I am a JDM Fanboy at heart but now own a B58 powered car now.
It depends more on the engine than JDMvsEURO. If he put a K24 in properly built with all forged goodies, he could make that 700 no problem.
But then it wouldn't be a Mitsubishi.
@@jameshaulenbeek5931 forged anything is going to be reliable that's the point of being forged lmao
Ironically a lot of BMW guys do 2JZ swaps to get a more reliable engine.
