My brain on E85 vented directly into the interior for 2+ weeks- "It's a GOOD car." Kidding aside, silicone hoses have been used forever in off road dirt bikes. You simply NEVER have to sweat hose issues ever again. Strong work, dudes!
The reason the Talon keeps blowing coolant hoses was prob because all the hoses were old and worn. Pressure finds the path of least resistance. So when you replace an old coolant hose with a new one, the pressure is trying to find another way out which leads to finding the weakest line in the cooling system. Really have to replace all the coolant hoses in an old car like that otherwise you keep chasing leaks like this. The silicone ones are decent but you have to clamp them down a lot. Overtime the silicone ones can start leaking because it's not clamped down enough. OE hoses that are new seems to work better. Love the series Ben.
That's true. Plus, they added a big turbo that helped produce 600hp which results to hotter engine. So, it's imortant to have cooling lines refreshed or better yet, enhanced.

Only issues it gave me was both clutch cylinders going out on separate occasions and having to float gears home and shutting it off at every light then using the starter motor to get going. You need to get rid of all those old coolant lines and come back with all new fresh ones. OEM where possible, and use OEM constant tension hose clamps. You can't talk shit about whoever painted the old valve cover, then proceed to not plumb up a fuel line hahaha
Love this video, I always think there is a big difference between finishing a car and getting it reliable enough for daily driving. RUclipsrs never get the later done.

Every video yall make is a joy. Thanks for the content!
Gotta say, I enjoyed the music from this video! Hope to see/ hear more like it!
These videos are inspiring me to get my dsm running. Keep it up yall enjoying the content and variety. Ps I bought a few hoodies a while back and they are awesome ❤️
I've been watching G&G for years, basically from the beginning, and this has to be my favorite episode thus far. Seeing a piece of crap car get improved to the point where it's reliable and fast it so satisfying.
RUclips didn't notify me of your video and I was distraught. So I decided to check your channel and there it was! Great video as usual. Mark is the homie! Awesome job rebuilding the engine. Also... now that the DSM is square... get another Camaro and do a series on that... Pretty please?!
Damn right guys ... I love the dsm ... keep killing it, guys .. peace and love, guys, keep it rad, stay safe, and build on.. ps in the video, it sounds like you are getting alotta back pressure on the turbo causing flutter .. maybe just the video , but that would be my next check into .. backpressure is gonna be your enemy at that level of boost, guys .. .. keep having fun, my brothas, and love the content .. 💪🏽✌🏽
Didn't want this episode to end...I was having so much fun. Loved this video!!!😊
Lots of appreciation for the DSM
Those welding macro shots were epic!
You all need a sponsorship from Pig Mat, it's a game changer
First LSC Garage and now GNG.... It's DSM Saturday! I would love to see a track battle between the Eclipse and Talon, that would be an Epic episode..
The E85 leak helps clean up the coolant and oil leak. It's a standard DSM feature.
THIS is building a car. the trial and error, the tuning, the blood sweat and tears. THIS is what its about. kids nowadays airbag cars, slap rims and call it a "build" and goto a local car meet to look like a clown.
I had a '96 TSi awd when I was younger. I miss that car everyday. I was rear ended in it when I was at a stoplight in like '04. Insurance didn't give me $2k for it. The gas tank for that car is like priceless.
