how much weighs it in ? can you make one with 9.0" and with nose concave for nose riding ?

I never weighed it but it was pretty heavy. Probably about twice the weight of a foam board. This one in the video has a pretty deep nose concave. Gave lots of lift on an already bulbous board.

What kind of wood are you using here? Planning a similar build myself.

It's a local wood called "lunumidella." Not sure really what it is. It seems to be similar to pine in density, maybe slightly lighter. Went to several woodshops in Colombo searching for paulownia or some similar material, but this was the best I could do. The board is HEAVY...

Have started gathering cedar timbers. Quite pricey in my neck of the woods.

how did you go about breaking the board apart for chambering? I see an iron but I'm not sure what you used it for. Thanks!

I used shims to slowly spread the planks apart until the glue gave way. The glue was pretty strong, so I used an iron and wet towels to try to weaken the glue.
Breaking it apart was the most difficult step for me. I used normal Elmer's Glue, about 4 or 5 nickel size dabs for each plank. It turns out that's waaay too much. I will use less next time. Maybe even put sheets of newspaper in between so they tear apart easier.

To chime in on a upcoming hobby
      Animal collogen glue
      Hide glue
Used to make dismantling wood work easier with hot water

How heavy was the finished product?

Never got it on an actual scale, but it was definitely over 20 lbs. Probably closer to 30. Surfed it a few times, where no people were around. Went pretty well.

Gorgeous! Did it have a vent plug? How did it surf?

Wow! I need to check my youtube comments more often! You can get a clear view of the vent plug @3:08. It surfed like a 1970s Cadillac 👍
