Wonderful test Will. That tone before the answers in the Pi test are irritating.I couldn't deal with that in an ongoing conversation. I'm impresses at the response time and details in the answers.
😆🤣 I can't stop laughing at the PI "mumble/thinking waiting tone" sound that Alan gives voice to!! I'm going to copy that in meetings, "bum, bumm, bumbumbum"😄. But seriously, amazing demonstration Will and the PI speech is very impressive and like you said just seems more natural and life like. Like the language just flows with PI. I think my robots need that "bum, bum, bummbum, bum" waiting tone/thinking sound now HaHa!
Dennis, I have found a bit of a work around using the desktop browser with a Chrome extension called Say,Pi. It works quite fast and you can turn off the "tone". I'll do an update video soon!
Great, I've been using pi mobile app for a while, purely just to ask human like interaction and pi is great on that, firstly I used chatgpt voice model, but then i found pi and switched to it, while chat gpt is very well for helping me do my work and research, both are cool!
It would be great if you could run Pi locally, it's definitely way more human like, chatGPT sounded like canned PRSpeak. I just had a conversation with Pi in a browser and it's response was instant with no response sound, maybe it's just on the mobile app. Had a long conversation about data and security and the free app which was reassuring. Are you running it on a SBC or from a phone.
@@Will_Huff answering out of order, I'm sure I used the Pi mob app (in the past) and must have typed in prompts. Say Pi looks good, did you sync the app and ph to bluetooth (or wifi)on the bot.-(edit) I did another reply which has disappeared.
@@2openhere not sure where the last reply went or disappeared too?! But to answer your question I have a separate board in Alan to run his jaw. As technology evolved as long as you have 3.55 jack or Bluetooth you can always use different sources, like Siri, chatgpt, PI and any other services. Eleven labs also has an api for pipe in your own AI voices ( at a cost).
Wow... some one talking about Pi. Pi was very promising and I liked it alot. But it is dead. It was last uopdated a long time ago. It gets repetive quite fastly and it does not have a very long memory.
@@olobatac They are not available until 2025 and then available as 3D prints before they are kits then finished units. Many other designs coming as well.
@Will_Huff Awesome! I look forward to your product release. I've been looking for something to have that's on the market as far as a robot and chatbot until more advanced options are available. I only found the Enabot EBO X. Would you say that's a good option to start with a smaller robotic AI that uses chatgpt?
Very cool Will! I agree that the 'tone' sound of PI chatbot is a bit distracting, but its voice and it's naturally flowing speech is impressive.
Omg so happy to see Pi featured. This AI is great in its App!
Quite cool. I look forward to the day to the day where we have very human-like robots.

Brilliant! Apologies if it wasn't meant to be funny, but I found myself joyful and giggling all the way through! Like given.
Awesome Will! An interesting experiment. They were both impressive. I agree that the tone preceding their answers was distracting.

I liked the PI chatbot because it did sound more natural, but yeah its "tone" would be distracting especially to most
I'm amazed how far the tech has got.
It’s really getting exciting.

The moving skin on the nose and cheek that also stretches the eyes do push it way into the uncanny valley, but I love this video and your work.
Yeah this robot design will be 10 years old in 2025...need a superseded model soon!
Brilliant and informative video! Thanks Will
Where do I sign up for you upcoming kits? :D

Will You should talk to those guys from the Clone robot

Ahhh cool just checked them out...looks neat all the robotics covered in fabric.

@@hondo190 it’s interesting that a majority of comments prefer Pi over ChatGPT.
Can I buy one of these from you, please?

I hate how those models are always trained to utter utmost phraseology. just give the info and shut up.
