I think it would be better for you to differentiate between a (specific) learning disability vs intellectual disability. Many ppls confuse them. When you have an LD you struggle with learning in a specific area despite average to above avg intelligence, whereas ID makes most things in life difficult.
Steve the intellectual disability it is also a learning disability but many times the school can be affected by parents situation and surroundings situation. Maybe a child have learned the intellectual and the surroundings are staying in the way of showing the results. such as parents or finance issues, that a parent loan them to put children in school and others can blosck the school and screw peoples money due the intellectual disbility. A function of a mental retard can yes screw ppeople ´s money, which they borrow from bank to pay for education. Who have intellectual disability, the child or the function who block the educational surroundings?
I have a family member close that he's incredibly amazing with people and I mean even when he was a baby and he couldn't talk he was popular like you know the nurses are people that just interacting with him found him fascinating he just has that those social charisma with people and I don't think that's related to the intellectual disability I think that's just basically a personality type for certain you know your popular and that's a good thing to have you know so I don't know that I don't think it affects personality I think you are who you are and then
I have a intellectual disablity I have a hard time communcating and socielazation with people and people take advantage of me because they can and I can't defend myself. I'm less communecative and it's hard to socialize with people. I had a devolopmental delay I was sick a lot as a child I also was told by my birth doctor that I had some brain damage he didn't know much.
Like I don’t have trouble socializing or like making friends I don’t know maybe it take me a min to process but like I don’t know I just don’t like thinking like I’m slow I’m like everyone else

i have a Moderate Intellectual Disabilty, everything she explained in the video for moderate is me. It's hard to have this disabilyty, but i don't set limits for myself and always give life a chance
I have intellectual as well and I try so hard to retain knowledge in school. but it’s difficult so even if I got a learning disability can I teach my self how to retain more knowledge even though I tried alot of methods?

So the broader term of developmental disability is that every disability before 18 or just some disabilities before 18 some states have the definition differently than others. A lot of totally blind people strive to live independently, but this creates a misunderstanding of the fact that they need help with certain things and some systems are at the end of the day not really worth the effort to obtain services because of pretty much the way they do things like higher, generic people from the community And pay them so it’s not really specialized and then there is a lot of like putting people in a specific group at a building like segregation but calling that services but that isn’t really services helping people to do stuff even though that exists in the model of services, but a majority of people choose this and I don’t wanna say like the people choose it but their families a lot of times choose like going to a daycare like something to do for the day but really the goal of common community based dollars from the start of it when they close the institutions was to get people into community And have them live independent lives and have that support assistance, however, and I’m very surprised and had talked with the national Federation of the blind about it about how there really isn’t that support aspect for the blindness population especially people that have never had eyesight, so yeah it’s very interesting but I think we’re in the time now that it doesn’t really matter. I had gone to obtain services because of socially wanting to be with people socially, but it turned to be a confusing mess with them and one of the benefits that they did have was what they called self-directed services to hire people that you interview and train from the bottom up essentially But it was very front loaded in having to basically be a hiring manager when knowing nothing about that process.

Go try to find occupational therapy to help you find a job easily because I have an intellectual disability and already got a job. Just push yourself.
