An intellectual disability is when limitations in your mental abilities affect intelligence, learning and everyday life skills. The effects of this can vary widely. In this video, Dr. Rachel Ferrari breaks down what an intellectual disability is as well as the signs and symptoms.

I have intellectual as well and I try so hard to retain knowledge in school. but it’s difficult so even if I got a learning disability can I teach my self how to retain more knowledge even though I tried alot of methods?
I think it would be better for you to differentiate between a (specific) learning disability vs intellectual disability. Many ppls confuse them. When you have an LD you struggle with learning in a specific area despite average to above avg intelligence, whereas ID makes most things in life difficult.
Steve the intellectual disability it is also a learning disability but many times the school can be affected by parents situation and surroundings situation. Maybe a child have learned the intellectual and the surroundings are staying in the way of showing the results. such as parents or finance issues, that a parent loan them to put children in school and others can blosck the school and screw peoples money due the intellectual disbility. A function of a mental retard can yes screw ppeople ´s money, which they borrow from bank to pay for education. Who have intellectual disability, the child or the function who block the educational surroundings?

I have a intellectual disablity I have a hard time communcating and socielazation with people and people take advantage of me because they can and I can't defend myself. I'm less communecative and it's hard to socialize with people. I had a devolopmental delay I was sick a lot as a child I also was told by my birth doctor that I had some brain damage he didn't know much.

@@mylesthomasandfriends838I’m not 100 percent sure but I think those interests are something a lot of people enjoy and so a lot of individuals with intellectual disabilities also show have these interests. I don’t necessarily think there is a correlation but I could be wrong.
