This vid is great, aswell I was not able to turn the ignition key from My MB Sprinter 2008 so I found the Emulator solution and I order one online, after it arrived I installed the smal box and yes jippy I was able to start the car again but still my steering wheel was locked, what I did ? I Removed the black PVC heater pipe which sit over the steering lock , I just removed the heating pipe, I took the small grinder and I made some small cuts and I was able to remove the cap, took out the interior and the steering lock was gone, U don't need to take out the steeringcolum and disasamble your dashboard. It was done in less then 10 minuts to remove the steering lock in the car. My cost only 30 euro's for the emulator, when you bring the car away to a dealer it cost you atleast 1000 euro to repair a small issue and now the car has no steering lock who cares not me 😀😀
Wow , great video , but your emulator and key reader are so over priced it's untrue , the key readers are about 5 dollars on line and the emulator around 45 dollars again on line , here in the UK , costs are 3 pounds and 30 pounds , both delivered
Awesome info.. problem I’m having .. ignition locked.. After returning home after 10 days.. I went to start the van dodge sprinter 2008 2500 high top extended cab, with Mercedes diesel engine V6. I turned the key and lights came on, but then died. I must’ve killed the battery because of the back up camera must’ve been left on. The next day I went to see if maybe from sitting I could start the van, and with both keys I can’t turn the ignition. Do you think it’s because my battery’s dead and there’s no juice for the systems to read each other? Thanks in advance, and this was very helpful
i just bought sprinter 2014, 2.1, and suddenly stopped. the switch/key does not turn at all. with no key in, non of my headlight does not work ( before worked and had beeb). hazard start but very weak light. but my battery is fully charged and showing 13.8 . dash lights are going and comming unorginized while key is in. all fuses are fine. can you suggest where to look?
My bypass is reading the key, but the vehicle is not starting. The vehicle is swinging, but not starting completely, I tried using quick start , I tried the injectors, I tired almost everything, but the vehicle is refusing to starts , I even did Diagnostics, it says glow plugs 1 and 4 , I'm not sure if that's enough to stop the vehicle from starting.
hi just a question my sprinter ive connected an emmulator as i dissconected the steering lock plug with lock in unlock position . do acctually have to remove els from colum or i can leave it in the unlocked position . great video i enjoyed watching it A+++++
Hello, yes the electronic igntion switch wirelessly powers the transponder chip in the key to read the information. The battery is only needed for the keyless entry.
Why do all of the people always pick on a vehicle that's different from what we ask for? The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2011 is a complete different ignition and harder to get to because it looks like the whole plastic dash has to be removed.
Proactive measure best as the original steering lock can be kept unlocked for ease of removal. If you have a functional steering lock, Insert key which will release steering lock, disconnect plug from it and plug VEPro bypass emulator.

Dead battery may cause software glitches in vehicle modules. Best to scan with a proper diagnostics tool to identify the problem.

If u have no electricity including flashers look under drivers seat where main fuse and starter cut off relay is located. Get 2 only 50$ each.

How does the dilator keep the steering unlocked? If the steeting is locked the motors has failed. How’s the emulator unlock it ?

i have a 2011 2500 sprinter dose anybody make 0 starts left Bypass,,a shop says i have to replace complete Emission System..
