Look at Que teaching the masses! Corolla is definitely fun to drive and the fact you can alter the weight distribution is an awesome feature! Also your spec is so sinister looking
I love the way mines looks. Had to add a lil sauce to it. lol.
GRC is the perfect winter car. Im loving running the mountains in the cold
love this car
Excellent content! Have you thought about adding a BOV? They sound sick
Thanks a lot. That was the first mod I considered. I may circle back to it
Sport also gives you the sharpest throttle response on offer which will affect turbo spool/ramp so worth it
This is my dream car man.. I can afford it now but I’m saving up for a house right now…
Don’t know if I missed it or if you’ve tried it yet, but try expert mode. Put it in sport, track mode, then turn off the anti slip and you’ll see it switch over to expert mode. Give you less rev limitation. 🤙🏼
I tried it. It’ll step out a little but not all the way. Expert mode holds it back for me
Informative video. Now I just need the car lol
Lol! Thanks
I've binged on all your GR Corolla videos, and I've loved every minute! Just got my hands on a 2024 GR Corolla in Blue Flame, and I'm absolutely smitten with it! It's such a blast to drive! Now, I'm eyeing an exhaust upgrade for a deeper growl and four pipes. Any recommendations or thoughts on that?
Congrats! That's a great color. I haven't looked at too many exhausts. None make a deeper tone that I've heard.
2J midpipe with OEM exhaust
slightly louder, perfect for daily driving. I love mine, its how it should have sounded from factory.
Yes
🏆
Nice vid. I've watched a few of yours. I also have a black GRC and live north east. Hoping we will get some snow! Got a little now but already melting.
Also any issues with your clutch? Some have already had clutch problems/replacement early in the life of this car. One of my bigger fears is that it goes bad and toyota doesnt cover it due to some bs.
Thanks a lot. i haven't experienced any clutch issues and I hope I don't. I still haven't driven mines in snow either.
Lol @ Thanks Apple, and man Que out here doing donuts in an AWD car #Goals Great video brother the GR Corolla seems like it was made for Michigan it dealt with that rainy cold weather really really well.
Lol! Apple's weather app is the worst. I was driving a lot today and the Corolla did not disappoint.
Do you feel shifting to 2nd and 3rd is a litttle jerky? maybe its the iMT as I dont notice it that much with it off? or its just Im letting off the clutch to fast and letting the RPMS drop?
I don’t have shifting issues. I heard other people do though
I noticed on sport mode the boost comes on earlier, more peak boost, maybe its changing the throttle sensitivity or something ? if you have your boost gauge on you will notice it.
Ah. That would explain why I thought the boost would hit harder at 4000 RPMs. I had it set to normal. I need to play around with that more. Thanks!
Boost kicks in at 4000 rpm but in sport mode you have better throttle response
Please show a video of at night while to get the 1-2,2-3,3-4 shift off the redline. I know the GR pops. But.. what’s it look like to someone behind you at night. It would be cool if at night it tossed fire out the center pipe. That’s the exhaust you wanna have made when the computer limp mode thing gets figured out. The light on the dash was a bummah
BRO I NEVER SEEN A WORSE DRIVER, MY GRANDMA PASSED YOU WHILE YOU TRIED TO "DRIFT" JAJAJAJA
She was racing home before your grandad found out she was with me
@@QueTheChaotic shoulda seen her racing home after my grandad found out she was with you
Did you already replace the clutch?
Nope
Bro… Love your content ❤ and really appreciate what you are doing. BTW. let me know, if you need an editor for your YT videos. As, I am a professional video editor and would like to contribute to your channel.
What do you say about the editing part?
?
How the hell do I shift from one to two without a big drop off in the rpm? Every shift after goes smoothly.
I haven't noticed that
your simply letting off the clutch to early and shifting rough, you only dont feel it in the higher gears because they aren't torquey enough and feel "smooth". First gear to second is always a far throw in terms of rpm, first is a tiny torquey gear only really meant to get you going from a stop, every gear after will continue to feel less torquey and smooth.
I'm going to have to start my car without pressing the brake pedal now. I've just automatically always done that. It might be fun for a minute, but then I imagine you would have to press the brake pedal anyway in order to release the e-brake. I'll try it, but I imagine that I'll probably just go back to clutch, brake, start, e-brake, reverse.
edit: Sometimes by mistake I go clutch, brake, start, reverse, with the e-brake engaged. If you do that the e-brake automatically disengages, so you brake for a second, and can then press the accelerator again with no problem. I guess that would be the advantage of the e-brake, but I don't know if they all do it or if only some cars do it.
I normally always press the brake to start it up. I was trying something different today lol
mike, i think you might be overthinking it.
@@theredsalmon612 Did I say something incorrect?
Starting the car with your foot on the brake pedal is good practice if you park the car in gear a lot. If you're someone that always parks in Neutral, then it's really not necessary. I could tell you from experience in my WRX though that I've made that mistake twice; the parking brake was down and I started the car in gear without having my foot on the brake pedal. The first time, I was very close to rear ending the parked car in front of me. Making it a habit to have the brake pedal depressed when you start the car could save you some good money in the long term.
@@kevinnorris6558 so true. I almost ran my dad over doing this. Thankfully he jumped out the way
The only thing I don’t like about my GRC is the brake dust 😂
It gets so much
From my understanding they are not brembos
