Have you done any autocross or road racing with it yet? I’m on list for a CE and want to specifically use it for racing so just curious if you’ve done any track events and how you have enjoyed it.
@@madmyro I haven’t done any tracking, or racing yet. I did go on a scenic drive towards the mountain out here. I’m searching for a cars group, or others with the GR Corolla to hit some tracks up. It’s a shame how they scavenged the release of these. If I had the chance I would have got the CE instead of the Core, but even finding a Core want easy ;(
I have done a lot to my friends 2023 Gr Corolla, Eventuri intake, Magnaflow exhaust, downpipe and catalytic converter, shifter bushings, intercooler is coming, 93 octane tune from ECUTEC BeatSonic amp for audio. PPF on lots of the car i installed it all including the upgrades.
Someone did a bunch of launches and adjusted using the scale that auto reviewers use to determine what the time would be if a pro was driving. The guesstimated 0-60 time is about 4.75 seconds. Pretty darn good!
Honda who? GR as a whole is far more serious about sports cars and racing than honda has been lately. “But the NSX!!” Yeah I’m talking about fun cars for the general public in different body styles
From what I've heard, the civic type R has more serious and precise handling and prefered by more serious track enthusiats while the gr corolla is more of a fun playful car. I'll admit I haven't driven either so I don't have much credibility here but that's going off of what I heard from a lot of people and hours of watching RUclips lol
@mashedtomatoes1180 The ctr's fwd system handles like an awd..it's insane. Both the gr corolla and civic are engineering masterpieces imo. But if i was to chose it would be the gr corolla.
This is a great car and would’ve been a good option since I live in Canada to rip in the winter, but I refrained from buying it due to only having the option of buying the Core model and the economy seats and no arm rest wasn’t super appealing to me since I daily drive my car so I ended up going with the Integra Type S for the sportiness and comfort.
you can absolutely order the circuit in Canada but there are less of them available. I have one on order. Also the cores in Canada come with the performance pack ( locking diffs) and I'm hearing you will be able to spec the audio and seats on the cores for 2024. talk to your dealer if that what's getting you. I don't even use my armrest anyways.
@@Snap_Brannigan yeah I know they sell the Circuit but my dealership said they only had 1 available for this year and it was already spoken for and I needed a car right away that’s why I had to make the quick decision, armrest isn’t the biggest deal because people are making mods to have one but I personally use mine all the time since I have a decent commute to work.
Keep hearing there is a lot of heat management issues with this car soon as you put it on the track. Apparently you'll only get a few laps in before it over heats - both engine and rear diff. Rear diff will go into runaway heat soak and you'll get a front wheel drive car. We should be okay in Canada as a daily, but still something to think about.
Car diff overheats pretty quick and goes into front wheel drive only pretty quick from what people are saying. Also the power loss from hot hair is a thing too because its intake seems to be flawed.
Overheating not a problem at all in real life. The 1% that take it to the track may have an issue, but a lot have not had the issue on the track so...YMMV.
FYI. new mk8 golf r is no longer haldex. It is a new system that in race modes distributes power 50/50 front and rear. And in drift mode it can send 100% of the rears 50% to one wheel.
Fuck I neeed one so bad. I’m hoping they keep this in production for quite some time. I probably won’t be able to pick one up till next year money wise. Hoping it sticks around.
The production quality on these reviews is good but it's very light on details/information, particularly technical information. The review is filled with commentary like "this car was designed to go and brake" and "this feels pretty good and it's stiff but not too stiff." Please spend more time studying the cars you review.
Are you high? GR outperforms the civic, the only thing the civic can do slightly better is beat it in a roll race, look it up. Also, The Type R is marked up waaaay higher than the GR, so the GR actually is usually much cheaper than the Type R. Where are you getting your facts from?
Dealers are really marking them up that much!? That is insane! I got mine in July or August and I think the mark-up was like 6 or 7k, and that was upsetting enough, I don't think I would have paid anymore than what I did...@@Will-dw2tr
Golf R, GR Corolla, Civic Type R, Elantra N or Integra Type S?
EN
I really want the ITS, but that price might be a bit too steep
I have a GR and it’s freaking perfect
Type S and R
If I had the funds I'd go type-S.
I own one of these, and this thing is great on the roads. Aggressive when it needs to be, and agile for sliding in smaller spaces.

Did you install ppf in your car?
Just like a small penis right dude!!
So is my 2023 GTI, and I didnt pay a massive mark-up! The price for the GR Corolla is marked up to the moon!
Love my gr corolla just hit 2000 miles after 8 months
awesome!!
I just got my GRC 3 weeks ago at 2 mi and I'm already @1931 miles 😅

The garage looks super cool and I really like your presentation
Nice 0 to 60 test
Do the Canadian or other place GR Circuits have white stitching on the interior versus the red the US got? Looks sooo much better

Yeah.. Honda doesn't have a competitor for the supra and gr86 or the lexus rcf, is500
Definitely not, Honda is by far more serious about professional racing with fwd they do the same if not more then the gr. and I’m a gr corolla owner.
@@Joel-um2oiThe only thing that Honda races with is the NSX and CTR. Honda isnt even in NASCAR or the WRC like Toyota.

People made the problem better by wrapping exhaust and diff temp sensors in heat tape/shield
Can you please do a Toyota Camry XSE AWD drive i would prefer a white one or a black one only if you have time
I’m saving up right now man 😎

Did you buy it in US and brought it to Canada?
This is a Toyota Canada press vehicle.
Own this same car : ) my stitching is red
2023 ? 2024 maybe new color stitching..
@@mmc2k9999CE and Morizo got red stitch in 2023
I noticed the white stitching too, red in the Us Curcuit and blue in the 2024. I love the white, not sure where this guy is
Imagine swapping this 3 banger for the Koeniggsegg 3 banger with 600 hp.
Curious, I just picked my GRC in the states. How do you get your "boomerang lights" to only illuminate?
Go into your vehicle settings and turn off daytime running lights. Then put parking lights on one click above auto.

The audio is kinda sad factory, even the JBL.
Fuel consumption
If you drive it normally 25-31 mpg
If you drive it like you stole it 25 mpg
I get 25 mpg with mine
And I drive it hard
it´s not bad.
I want to buy the most powerful 2 cyl car in the world from a franchised dealership.
For such a small car with 300hp and awd youd expect a better 0-60
Under 5 seconds with only 300hp is pretty darn good.
terrible launch, you should easily get mid 5s 0 to 60
Did you watch the 2nd launch?
Why a manual need an automatic
Then buy a regular Corolla. This is an enthusiasts car
But it's not German, so this dude don't like it
Can't take it
Corolla is not my type tho
AWD Sh...t,! too expensive, absolutely not worth the price!!! has no chance with Honda Civic R which is much cheaper and faster
