  • Complete disassembly of a brand new Enermax liqtech II 240mm AIO and modding it with an Alphacool NexXxos XT45 v2 240mm 45mm thick full copper radiator.
The original radiator is aluminum and only 28mm thick.
I also replaced the OEM liquid and made a 7mm depth cut to the copper block to be able to use my delided 3950x direct die on block. Without it, the rised part of the AM4 socket is not cleared and the CPU block hits the socket before touching the CPU die.
I found out that the advertised 450l/h is false. The pump can only put out 60l/h. Enermax at it's best again. I should have known better.
Check out my other videos including the delid of Ryzen 3950x and 3400G.

Nice job. Those Enermax radiators are excellent. I salvaged one from an 240MM TR4 (Threadripper) that someone sold on eBay. It's not running with an older Corsair pump with a reservoir.

Nice content man! Loved watching it, would also love to see the temps achieved with the delid + direct die vs stock. I'm looking forward doing something like that for one Ryzen that I have lying around here and a h100 that I also am not using.

Hey nice work. How much ml do you recommend for 360mm aio?

Look like the Enermax rad is made of Allum while the block is Copper? I thought it is not safe to mix metals. Thanks

really nice, which graphics card are you using? did it fit on your setup? what about the case, which one is it? i really liked that one! thanks for documenting your heatsink adaptations!

I am very behind the times on liquid cooling. What I'm trying to understand is, is this part like a stand alone liquid cooling piece? It's just the radiator and the piece that goes over the chip and that's it? Does this not connect up with a reservoir and need all the tubes etc?

Because you have opened the closed-loop you need to keep the radiator tube water level and outlet at the same height when doing your test so the pump isn't doing extra work to lift the water because it slows the flow rate. I don't know if it would make that much difference tho.

The difference is so high 450l/h advertised to 60l/h measured that I don't think the difference in height would change that much the reality: Enermax is full of lies. I pre ordered the new ewkb AIO that has a low profile CPU block and will disassemble it and test is as soon as it arrives.

@@metalstress1736 Do you know if there's an alternative AIO product to the Enermax LiqTech TR4 II 240 for a TR 3970x? If so, would you be able to specify the model numbers that you would recommend?
Any help on the subject, would be greatly appreciated.
      Cheers

Do you have any shareable knowledge on a failing pump? I am considering opening my enermax Liqtech III rgb 120mm to fiddle a lil bit with it, heck if I get it working again I will gift it to someone
