easier method: take an iron... put some thermal paste on your cpu, put the cpu with the pasted heatspreader on the iron..... wait for about 30 secs.... grab it with a coated grill tong... done xD

This is more stressful than watching a frog being dissected. Basically a $700 frog. I don't have the balls to delid anything more recent than a 2000 series

Use heat gun to make solder softer, then delid. Easy 3 minutes job.

Stressful video. 1) Man, wear some gloves when using as razor blade. 2) Watching the screw being so close to the pins gave me the chills.

Can you tell what kits had you used for sharping the surface to mirror ? 11:49 I have see some people using shaver razor to cut off the indium solder form the cores,, but I feel these way is dangerous it may damage the cores .. Also can not goal to the mirror surface ..

The scariest thing about having set all this up is that if I have to flash the BIOS I lose my settings and I have to rediscover them all again. I think saving a video like this for my own system would help if I ever flash the BIOS again. :)

Nice job. Those Enermax radiators are excellent. I salvaged one from an 240MM TR4 (Threadripper) that someone sold on eBay. It's not running with an older Corsair pump with a reservoir.

I have 2x32gb ram sticks. For some reason, it wont boot to windows if I go into the bios and adjust the ram to 3600mhz, the speed that it should be. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have the same board and cpu.

at 1:30. How did you set your VDDP voltage to 800v??? It can not be correct. Becuse the hightest voltage of VDDP is 1.800. maybe that was a bug in Bios 1201.
