AIR INDIA EMPLOYEE MISBEHAVES WITH PASSENGERS STUCK AT DELHI AIRPORT.

  • This happened to me on 27/4/19. I had a reservation from Chandigarh to Tirupati. When I reached the Chandigarh Airport, I was informed that due server inactivity I had to wait till 11 for the 7 am flight. No body was ready to share details and we were told that all our problems will be resolved once we reached Delhi.
    Upon arrival at the Delhi airport we were taken aback to see thousands of passengers were stuck at the airport and Air India employees did nothing to help them. Instead they were rude were treating pregnant women, senior citizens, tourists, people with international flights like cattle. I was supposed to reach Tirupati at 1.30 pm, whereas I reached Hyderabad at 9 Pm and they cancelled my flight and issued a refund telling me this all they can do.
    I spent another 20000/- rs to find a hotel and a flight to Tirupati.

    My mom got lost at the airport and Vistara ground staff helped me to locate her and they held the plane for over 15 mins . That's called professionalism .

    Actually passengers are the ones misbehaving and it's a common and serious problem with Indians. People don't even know how to stand in a queue, always impatient and have no clue how difficult could be the other person's job behind the counter.

    Honestly I don't feel that the staff misbehaved. Some customers are really nuts and drive you crazy, also the man was shouting on her a lot + that is the short coming of operation team

      You need to raise your voice if they are not helping you. It's their duty to provide assistance to the customers.
      If your flight gets cancelled or delayed, they have to accomodate because customers are at no fault, instead customers suffer in case of emergencies.
      You are not at his place, so you can't able to understand. It's very easy to comment here, instead rushing here and there on airport.

      She was smiling because of the goof up by Air India, where they issued tickets and later said no service. She perhaps has seen these self entitled cattle class who think they have bought an aeroplane as soon as they present themselves before the boarding gate. Typical Punjabi uncle throwing his weight around and she couldn’t give a rat sh!t.

    Shame on all people blaming the worker of air india... She is behaving perfectly fine under given stressful circumstances. The mistake is of the operation team not been able to provide service standards.

      Atleast communicate and make the passenger calm down.... I personally feel that since this was not the 1st time any airline is facing such suitation so by now they should learn to tackle such passengers either by giving them information or some refreshments to keep them calm for sometime

Not to say they wouldn't allow video recording in first place. If security falls short they wouldn't hesitate calling cops. It's not that she is polite but people over there are behaving in a completely irrational manner with her. She is a receptionist not manager not ceo nothing and even manager is not answering to her call.

    Absolutely professional behavior from the lady, it is the passenger hovering over her threatening with "where is your manager" and filming her while she is working. Not done sir ! Anywhere else in the world, you would be dealt with security and thrown out of the airport.

    I dont think she misbehaved. She was talking calming. You cant speak in a louder voice and play the victim even when the person in front of you is explaining things in a lower voice. She was doing her job. People need to understand that employees are also people who work. Imagine a government worker being blamed for corruption in the country when the fault is of the government itself. It wasnt her fault. Please stop shaming airline employees like this. They can only tolerate you being a menace for some time. There is a limit for that too.

    She is not misbehaving rather the passenger is harassing her, and raising his voice. That is her natural style and demeanour. If she starts leaving her desk on demand of customers, she won't be able to work.

    Everyone should understand that few things will be out of the staff's capabilities. She does not own AIR INDIA and there are other ways to contact the right people. Why am I feeling that this passenger has interrupted her work and keeps on demanding things which she already told him were not possible? What do we expect from staff when there is some server issue? Do we really believe the staff and AIR INDIA itself enjoy and get benefits by creating inconvenience to passengers on purpose? 4 hrs delay due to server issues can not be toleratable? but we can wait for hours in line for a movie and petrol pump to save 10rs (when we hear the news of a 60 paise increase on petrol).

      @@shashi3019 bro, not everything is deserved with just money. Paying money doesn't mean you are privileged to everything everywhere. What will you do if there is a storm or bad weather? You will demand the same things saying you paid F money? She is just one of the employees and do not have the power to take care of all the issues happening around. If you think you paid F money, then you should approach the corporate head office and fight with them with your F money. That's the right way and that is why there are corporate grievance help centers for people like you who deserve everything for the money they paid. If you don't know what grievance is, you have another option called consumer court. I really don't understand why ppl think that employees will feel happy if they cause trouble to passengers? It is as hurtful to them as it is to you to deal with not just one but many ppl with many issues.

    The staff is not misbehaving and the passenger seems like stressing her...some of the customers don't understand the work process and keep on strewing and Fighting with the staffs...when they are customers they think they can do whatever they want and shout at the staffs which is really wrong.

      Yeah, indigo seems to be much better than air india. The staff was exceptionally good and really polite except I had a small argument with the security but everything else was really good

    Nobody has misbehaved. Couldnt see any intentional derelection of duty by staff.
    She can only do what can be done.
    There must be some technical constraint. Manager should have explained.
    Else complaint can be filed and elevated through the grievance cell.
    Usually Tata employees are recruited after strict if not rigorous selection procedure.

    It’s probably not an easy situation for the airport staff either. It’s not their fault planes were bumped or canceled. They have 0 power in some of these situations. If they give certain accommodations, they can get fired

      If passenger is asking for Via flight destination TIRUPATI & flight is available DELHI to HYDERABAD via HYDERABAD to TIRUPATI than i don't understand
      What solution AIR INDIA EMPLOYEE will do i mean if seats are full already or limited left in which all 8 passengers seat are not available ?
      Or AIR INDIA has to provide seperate special plane for TIRUPATI ?

    Basically passenger think after buying a ticket they have paid for the entire airport and the air craft. I always travels by IndiGo I forgot to take my purse with my IDs and a good amount of money at Cochin airport after 15 minutes I realised and went to personal checking belt Little frustrated but the junior staff was very humble and kind the first thing they told me don't worry they checked on the other belts and found the purse handed over to me with a 😊 great service. The lady still working with out losing her shirt. If I was her Boss I would have upgraded her.💕

    People in comment section are acting as if they were the person in place of that lady they would arrange a plane for the passengers. The issue here is mainly due to the fact that Chandigarh to Delhi flight was late it can be late due to various technical or unforseen reasons. And if one flight from Chandigarh to Delhi gets late no airline is going to delay all the connecting flight as well. In your case the main issue was there is only 1 flight from Delhi to tirupati. In your case you should have asked for hotel in Delhi or in Hyderabad and they will arrange it for you. My Delhi to Lucknow air india flight got cancelled due to technical reasons and i was given a room by air india. In your case due to flight delay your whole trip was affected but sometimes unexpected things happen and nothing can be done about that. And under article 21 it is illegal to record any Indian civilian without their consent. At the end manager and staff are just employees an some things are out of their control.

    Something quite similar happened with me while I was coming back from Tirupati on IGI Airport. I was about to miss my connecting flight but out of nowhere I got the motivation to enquire. No one was guiding me and I would have missed my flight but fortunately I got at the right terminal just at the nick of time and I boarded my flight which I just avoided missing. It was not Air India though.

Just remember when customers are expressing frustration, it is nothing personal since they are only furious about the airlines and they have no personal grudges against these people.     I lost 84k because of there unprofessional,, when I asked for refund they started lying and now they r saying they will refund 350/- rupees to me... They talk over the phone during work hours and ignore the problem... Their manager and other staff was laughing and sharing jokes there the time I was crying in front of them.

    Last year I booked my flight 4th march for Singapore, when I reached Mumbai Airport, I was shocked there was no flight n Air India asked me to come on next date...I had lot of flight, thn they started telling lies that they had called me sent me emails..... just hopeless

    Had a similar experience calling them over the phone requesting for excess baggage. Took me 1 whole day the call was transferred from 1 place to another but no solution over the phone. When sent emails they keep sending call customer care #. Got fed up and I decided to use some courier service foe excess baggage.. terrible experience...

    People should not harass the staff like this. Not everything should be on social media. With flight cancellations, the staff may not have a lot of options. This seems to be some kind of issue or misunderstanding but the staff is ordinary people like us and their job also has limitations. Putting the staff on social media and insulting them like this is not right. It’s the company people should file a complaint against.
