    Have 2 strays I feed that were infested with white worms just falling out of their rear ends and dropping on the ground. they kept infesting my 2 indoor cats, I added 1/2 c of the Diatomaceous earth powder to the large bag of kibble, and also sprinkled in some crushed Vit-C, also put the powder in canned tuna. They never noticed it in the tuna.. dry food yes they noticed, snubbed their noses, so I drizzled salmon oil over the kibble.. Took 4 days and all 4 cats were worm free. 4 days ! Crazy miracle stuff. I keep it in the food now and I'm always checking them. I won't stop using it. I think it killed the fleas too ! Because their gone.

    Yes, I love D.E. it works great I was so glad when my mom found the product. Thanks for the extra details, I like to slip it in different thing's and I add it to juice for myself so it tastes better. I'm not sure how but with multiple pet's mine have been reinfesting and that is so frustrating so I think vacuuming and being careful with clearing litter is helpful. I'd like more info on ridding eggs because those are scary!

    • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  2 года назад +3

      Yes eggs ate nasty! And they can be everywhere!! Using DE topical can dry eggs out in bedding and even in the dirt and grass!!
      If you have reinfesting of tape worms it’s most likely you have a few fleas and need to work at killing them off! Every time your cat ingest a flea the cycle starts again. Sprinkle DE on your cats, in the yard or if indoor try doing a little on baseboards etc. fleas lay their eggs off the host in bedding, grass and cracks.

      Yay so glad you found me! Thank you so much for your feedback!
      Yes you can absolutely use food grade diatomaceous earth topical and internally at the same time! Since your cat travels outside it would be very beneficial to dust him often to help kill anything he picks up! You could deworm for the first time on a full 7 day schedule then go to once or twice a week, bi-weekly or even monthly but if you go past 90 days it’s usually best to do a full 7 day again!
      No it does not dry out the skin at all, I’ve personally rubbed it into my legs and feel and no difference, it seems to actually be beneficial for the skin and can heal hot spots and sores. It’s good stuff!!

    Thanks so much for your info! Will it also kill the larvae and eggs, or does 7 - 10 days cover the worm's life cycle? I read that it needs to be administered for 30 days or 10 days on and 7 days off and then 10 days on again - to make sure you get the worms that were still in larvae or egg stage when you first started..

    • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  3 года назад +8

      It’s been my experience that it kills the cycle usually in 7 days. However if the pet sheds eggs usually outside or in a litter pan the can re-infest themselves this is why it’s good to go 10 days or even longer depending on how bad the parasite problem was. Topically it does not kill flea eggs or larvae but that’s only because the eggs don’t usually come in contact with the dust, studies have shown that flea eggs and larvae will die within 24 hours of contact. So It would make sense that any parasite eggs in the intestine will come in contact with the DE and die, just as the adult worms do.

    • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  Год назад

      This may sound crazy but their is a study showing chia seeds added to a cats diet normalizes serum calcium levels. Maybe research that!! The DE will help with the scabs both healing them and killing any fleas. The cat may have reactions to flea bites. If there are no fleas it could be environmental allergies, add lysine to your cats diet! It could be yeast overgrowth as well, it would be best to remove grains specially corn and soy from your cats diet, I know grain free is expensive but it usually will help clear up yeast problems. I’m glad you liked my video! Thanks for watching!! ❤️

    I’ve heard you recommend other products for lungworms but also recommend DE for them too. Which is it?

    • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  9 месяцев назад +1

      Diatomaceous earth only kill intestinal parasites so it will kill lungworms when they cycle back through the intestines but this can take 90 plus days. I’ve heard of other natural remedies to also rid lungworms but I have not personally used them. The best protocol is to add natural anti parasitic foods, herbs and supplements as well as diatomaceous earth. Focus on immune support too! Pumpkin seeds are great ground and added to food and raw unrefined coconut oil is a great anti parasitic as well. Patients is needed for lungworms, even chemical dewormers like ivermectin can take close to 60 days to fully kill lungworms. I prefer to start naturally but aggressive myself and use several things at once that support the body! Most health cats that are exposed to parasites can expel them without any treatment so good diet and supplements go a long way!

    • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  3 года назад +3

      Usually you see results in the first 3 days but I always recommend to go a full 7 days and 10 in some cases to rid any reoccurring worms, they can pick up new worms if the were shedding fragments in the house, litter pans or even bedding. After the cycle is broken they should be completely clear!!

    I've been using DE for around 10 days now. It's working b/c I see ripped up tapeworms in my cat's poop. The only issue I am having is it's not getting rid of the little rice grain larvae/eggs. And because of that when he sheds those little rice grains he is laying in them and he obviously ingest them and gets reinfested. I try my best to keep his sleeping areas clean. Whenever I see the eggs (or whatever they are) I always use one of those sticky lint brushes to get them up. But I can't always be at home. He has no fleas and is not an outside cat. He was originally infested about 8 months ago. I rescued him from outside- His mommy cat had abandoned him. I've also tried the RX 3 times. That also didn't work because I am prety sure he is being reinfested by his own shedding of larvae. Any suggestions on how I can stop this cycle from happening? I haven't read anything about DE killing tapeworm larvae.

    • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  Год назад +3

      You are correct, if you see little yellowish round balls usually they are contained in the rice grains and show after it dries, those are the eggs sacs. I would continue to use the diatomaceous earth and give your cat a full tsp daily. You can also ad diatomaceous earth to his litter pan and sprinkle some in areas he lays around the house. It will dry out eggs you don’t catch. Just keep going you’ll eventually break their life cycle!!

    Hello! I just ordered this for my cats. I have a question though. When should I clean everything out (litter boxes, beds, etc.) to avoid reinfestation after I start their treatment? It’s three cats and they all have worms so I just want to make sure they don’t get worms again after I treat them

    • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  6 месяцев назад

      Hello that’s a great question! First are your cats indoors only? Normally they won’t reinfest from the litter pan but it is a good habit to keep everything clean. Cats normally get tapeworms from fleas and they can pick up parasites from hunting mice rabbits etc. it’s a good idea to deworm your cats every month with just a maintenance dose once or twice if the outdoor too, or you can do every couple moths if they are indoors. I’d say just wash and clean everything as you normally do, all the worm fragments they drop are dead or die quickly, you’ll want those gone anyway!

Use a good buffered vitamin c powder and add about 1000 mg and mix in well, this will give your cat 25 mg each serving and do the same for the lemongrass and olive leaf powders. This blend for deworming is the same for dogs and cats! You’ll want to feed adult cat 1 heaping tsp and dogs 10 to 50 lbs 1 heaping tsp over 50 1 tablespoon

    Is this something to give after they have worms or it is preventative. I have a new kitten and I know they usually deworm them as kittens.
    Should I give it with every meal as a prevention?

    • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  2 года назад

      It can be used as a preventative, it can be fed fail, weekly or monthly, every dose kills any intestinal worms, so it’s like constantly worming them. If you know your cat or kitten has worms it’s best to do a full 7 days strait and if you want to use as preventative you can start it weekly or biweekly etc, it will depend on factors such as are they outdoor only, big hunters, exposed to many other cats etc. for indoor kittys, a dose a few times a month is just fine, if it’s just one indoor cat, once a month is adequate.

I did give her a tiny bit of kefir milk in the afternoon and then a couple tiny drops of cocunut oil it seemed to help a bit she was playing tonight. But heard she is perfectly healthy then this happened overnight. Only thing different was bought her that hot pursuit cat toy and maybe it was the toy, the fur? Allergic? I'm clueless. We’ll parasites do seem to cause upset stomachs one day and then not the next. But she may have also eaten a spider or something to make her off. Best way to judge is if they are eating and drinking normally, if they loose appetite it’s best to see your vet. If they are eating and drinking normal then wait a few days to see if she gets back to normal. Deworming her with natural food grade diatomaceous earth would probably benefit her, most kittens pick up worms easily. :)

    This works for hookworms? Is lungworm and hookworm the same thing?

      No hook worms and lungworms are not the same, true lung worms are rare and from ingesting snail and slugs, however roundworms in dogs can cause lung infections.
      Diatomaceous earth does kill roundworms .

      Hmmmm I’ve never heard of it not eliminating round worms, if you have done several 7 day regimens without results, To be most effective, Diatomaceous Earth should be fed for at least 30 days, to catch all newly hatching eggs or the cycling of the worms that go through the lungs and back to the stomach.

      No not really, you can mix about 5 tsp to 1 can of wet cat food and add a little water to make a slurry, spread it over a regular size dinner plate and let mum and kitties lick up what they want, doesn’t matter if one gets more or less. Do this for at least 3 to 7 days and if the diarrhea is from parasites that should stop it. :)

    Does this rid cats of h pylori and other parasites that are only visible under a microscope? And would the boost of the immune system harm cats with kidney disease caused by viruses contained within a vaccine linked to kidney disease?

    • @EarthsAnswers

      It will kill Protozoas and other infectious parasites but it does take longer treatment. Usually 30 to 60 days. I don’t think any of the immune supporting supplements would cause an immune spike and be fine for kidney disease but you may want to ask a vet, preferably a holistic vet.

      Hello
      No not at all, the parasites can only replicate themself inside the cat. They actually do not live long outside the host, if they pooping in grass and a grazing animal eats the grass they can pick up worms this way. Just deworm your kitties and you should be able to break the parasites life cycle!

      If your cats have worms, you’ve seen tape worms in the fur by their tail etc. then you’d want to give each cat a tsp if DE in wet food for a few days, if your just doing maintenance and preventing and killing off a few doing the dry works well. There is only two ways to know if it’s working either way, if you seen worms you shouldn’t see anymore the other way is to go to the vet with a fecal sample to be tested for worms. • @EarthsAnswers
      @EarthsAnswers  Год назад

      It’s recommended to feed DE for at least 7 days and up to 30 day in extreme cases, this will catch hatching eggs and also catch parasites cycling through the lungs as well.
      You can add DE to the bottom of the litter pan but you don’t want to add too much and make it dusty when they scratch. A thin layer will help dry out any shedding worms.
      For intestinal parasites really just feeding DE daily for a few weeks will completely rid all parasites! If they are reinfecting outside somewhere, it’s best to continue a regimen once or twice weekly. Each circumstance calls for different dosing!

      @@matthewludwick6383 there has been controversy about DE killing the eggs, I would definitely add a layer in the litter pan. Changing litter out often is helpful too! Does your cat go outside? Or does he have fleas? Usually reinfections come with outdoor cats. Also fleas carry tapeworms so as long as a cat has fleas and ingest a flea it will reinfect quickly!
