Demonstration of a linkage builder & optimizer I wrote in javascript: github.com/rob... Play around with it here: tinyurl.com/gwc... Instructions are the github readme
Way to go. Yes, it can modelled, solved and optimized by SW based on math and logics. As such, I believe there can be even simpler, efficient, and configurable mechanism as furhter developments based on existing Strandbeests.
So is this Catia? How do you characterize that you draw a desired trace curve, and have the current design morph to fit to it, multiple variable optimization?
The link lengths and positions saved in the URL when you click "save to URL". You can pass the URL to the "unescape" function in javascript to see how it's formatted. I've been meaning to add an option to get the lengths and positions straight through UI. I'll try to hack something together this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@elitefries594 I spend a bit of time on this the other day, but couldn't decide on the best way to represent n-bar linkages. Out of curiosity, how you would use the linkage? If there's some other software that you're trying to use, how would you transfer a linkage over to it?

this is amazing. cant wait to try it out
Very cool, thanks from a fellow coder!
the best
This is amazing!
Me gustó mucho, Greatings from Perú.
Amazing stuff!
Cool!
Gives it out the parts list and their dimensions?
Ótimo trabalho 👏 sucesso aí família 🤝
Estupendo.

A remark; you misspelled the name. It is Theo Jansen. An n is missing.
Thanks! updated
Omg, i spell it wrong every time
The walking machine of Paphnutiy Lvovich Chebyshev is the prototype of combat robots (1878!!!)
very interesting, but will you help me find a way to fetch the dimensions of the optimized sketch for test implementation. Thank you once again.
