  • The first tiny house in a planned village of the homes was dedicated by the Veterans Community Project on Monday, May 2, 2016, near 89th St. and Troost Avenue. The 240-square-foot homes will provide transitional housing for homeless veterans.

That's awesome. Healing from trauma it's nice to have their own space and privacy.

Then tell your party to start doing something instead of cutting their resources in favor of Big Money donors and corporations.

you could care less about Veterans, and why should they be more deserving of state assistance than others, not everyone is disadvantaged due to their service.

This is just what I want to help make happen in Whatcom County WA. Why couldn't this be permanent?

build a tiny home that has the roof and side of the home lined with solar panels. and wind turbines on the roof and side of the home build the homeless veteran homes next to a river or stream for hydro turbines. and make everything in the home electric, electric stove, electric heater/ac, electric water heater 10 to 20 gallon, it will be self efficient. most homeless are down south and you can build these homes down south where nothing freezes. In these homes there are one hundred percent electric. The home has a small or community water purification system to clean the water, collects water from river or stream or lake, water condensors collect water in the air, and collect even rain water. this will save the state money and help people get back on there feet. and give them shelter. help homeless veterans out.

This is a REAL solution for REAL people that can make a REAL difference in the lives of so many loyal veterans who have been left yet awaiting the fulfillment of the one promise our elected representatives consistently claim that unlike other countries, America has always looked after her own, especially those that were willing to serve in the process of maintaining this nation's sovereignty. But America does not care for her own, especially the boots on the ground boys.
This tiny house project could be the beginning of the end of the rule of the pirate princes and pedophilia priesthoods...I wonder if the local lairs will allow for such a brazen demonstration of human solidarity to actually come to fruition?
    I seriously doubt it.

I do not understand this. How can a veteran go homeless? They could
handle the responsibilities of being a soldier but fail in real life?
Why not stay in the military?
Why should they be singled out and get
free accommodation. It reflects badly on them. Veterans have taken part
in illegal invasions of other people's countries. They knew the risks
when they signed on that dotted line. They do not deserve charity. Let
the government who sent them overseas take care of them. The above
gesture is admirable but naive as they are not prioritizing on who
deserves these accommodations. Veterans have many entitlements and
benefits while many people have nothing. This is not fair.
    What's
next? accommodation or collections to help former millionaires who lost
everything on the stock market? How about helping the victims and
homeless of the countries the US government's illegal invasions? That is
    a noble cause.

Why not stay in the military? If they have families I agree with
providing them with facilities. But if single no!!
Why should they get free accommodation and yet other people with kids
stay homeless? Who cares if they are single and homeless. It reflects
badly on them. Single veterans have taken part of illegal invasions of
other people's countries. They knew the risks when they signed on that
dotted line. They do not deserve charity. Let the government who sent

@@nolalove8909 I did serve. Have you read my comment? They signed on the dotted line. They got paid like mercenaries. They have support and benefits. They do not deserve special treatment. All they did was invade someone else's country like a terrorist and I am supposed to feel sorry for them? while families through no fault of their own and due to psychological and physical problems have been shortchanged by life. They deserve help not people who were gullible to believe the lies of the people they voted for and went to make a mess of some leses country.
