Is this project still going on after 3 years and how many "villages" have been built for our vets? This brought me to tears because it is such a wonderful thing! Is it for our female vets as well? Such a great way to honor our homeless vets!

Chris this video took my breath away this is an amazing thing that you are doing.yes we owe veterans a lot and if I had the money to give myself I would truly give it to you. I just pray that there are other people out there that do have the money that do give some for this is a remarkable thing that you're doing.

Tiny house is more better than ⛺ sleeping and street sleeping. Tiny house is stable life and warm and low cost.

Awesome concept 👏👏👏I wish I had them money to send to help. It would've been awesome if they had solar panels or green energy based. Reason because most veterans live on a budget reason some are homeless as their income is usually at poverty levels or below. The little community could or should install a solar parcel that is dedicated for the consumption of the tiny home community helping the veterans to have less bills and saves them money for other things such as food, medical expenses, etc. Just a thought.

Brian, it's still in its 'building stage' w/need for more dollars and labor. Looks like you are a Church going man, so organize your fellow chuchmen/women and offer your services and spare funds. If this isn't in YOUR area, I'm sure this problem exists there and volunteer to help w/construction and/or fund raising, as a Good Christian would be expected to do.

BTW Brian-These are not for permanent residency-it's Temporary housing, used while seeking jobs, going through rehab, dealing w/medical problems, etc. and once on their feet, will be able to move back into a community and hopefully join in, sober and drug free, w/VA services lined up, which many Vets do not utilize as much as they should. I made my bunker/foxhole w/a poncho for my roof & the ground itself my foundation, a home back in 66-67 in Vietnam for a day/week until told to 'mount up, move 'em out' and lived like that until I turned 40 & got advice & help from my now dead, former Corpsman friend, who got me into the PTSD program in Menlo Pk, Ca in the mid 80s, where I stayed for 7 months...and should of stayed longer. Been there & done that, but w/o this new innovative program. S.Fi! Grunt Corporal, USMC-'64-68'

there will be difficulties. i recommend setting the homes on a permanent foundation. the foundations are very cheap to build. in addition i do not know if they are still available but lowes was selling the entire katrina style kits for 15k. each. less if bought in bulk packages and do not forget the veterans 10% discount.

HUD has found it acceptable to use hurricane straps to be classified as permanent foundations as well. those are also cheap and can be used with already set up dwellings.

I do not understand this. How can a veteran go homeless? They could
handle the responsibilities of being a soldier but fail in real life?
Why not stay in the military? If they have families I agree with
providing them with facilities. But if single no!!
Why should they get free accommodation and yet other people with kids
stay homeless? Who cares if they are single and homeless. It reflects
badly on them. Single veterans have taken part of illegal invasions of
other people's countries. They knew the risks when they signed on that
dotted line. They do not deserve charity. Let the government who sent
them overseas take care of them. The above gesture is admirable but
naive as they are not prioritizing on who deserves these accommodations.
    This is not fair.

    What's
next? accommodation or collections to help former millionaires who lost
everything on the stock market? How about helping the victims and
homeless of the countries the US government's illegal invasions? That is
    a noble cause.

Didn't see water and sewer hookups? Without that, it's not a real home.
