Amazing interview. These are really good questions that go direct to the essence of the country: not a tourist thing. Great job on the questions and who you are interviewing- real people who have true understanding of the regions.
Thanks, that was so interesting. No visa from Australia. Yep. Definitely a place to visit. Those walking tours sound exactly the way to get a real flavour for your lovely city. 😆✌
Suggest Adobe Audition if original sound is this quality. You can lessen or eliminate the overpowering background noise and isolate your voices and control individual audio levels. Just some friendly advice from a stranger. Content is very good!!! Always love seeing your videos! Mostly because I'm falling in love with your country!! Much more like the America of old than you know!! Seems so wonderful.
My son is engaged to a wonderful Kazakh girl and has been welcomed into her family unconditionally. He has noticed that some people stare at him because he is a westerner walking hand in hand with a local girl, but he's a big guy and it never escalates. He did have 3 men try to ambush him late one night in Almaty. Again, he managed to get out of the situation unharmed, and it must be noted that this kind of thing can happen in any big town or city. He loves his new Kazakh family and once we can all travel again, I can't wait to visit. Thank you for these videos. They're super-helpful.
Hello, so sorry for the horrifying experience that happened in Almaty, those people are clearly uneducated or as we call them "mambet". Do stay away from small towns and walking at night.Hope everything is alright. Sending lots of love.
Wow, it is surprising that Kazakhstan and the Kazakh people sound a lot like the Koreans. I mean as a guy who grew up in California myself, despite my Korean-heritage, I feel the same in South Korea like Dennis feels in Kazakhstan. Come to think about it the Kazakh and Korean people share the same origin as the ancient Steppe riders. After their great migration to the Far East chasing after the Sunrise, the early Koreans built their new city and named her "As-a-tar." Sounds a lot like "As-a-tan-a," don't you think? Not to mention the ancient Scytho-golden culture of the ancient Korean realms that worshiped deer antlers, trees, birds, eggs and the Sun (Taengr'i = a round "perfect" shape with no angle in pure Korean), they recently conducted some thorough DNA exams with ancient bodies from Kurgans in Gyeongju, and the DNAs were 99-percent matching with the ancient Scythians from the Steppes. No wonder these two societies despite the great distance between us today share a lot of things in common ;)
I enjoyed this video very much! The interview with Dennis was very insightful and I felt like if I was there in person. Very impressive that Dennis can speak KAZ language. I was surprised about a lot of things he mentioned in the video but I was most surprised how safe Almaty is when it comes to scams, robbery and assault. One thing seems like a contradiction and is whether strangers are treated nice or not and whether is easy to meet locals. I would love to visit someday but is such a long way from Canada 😢 ….my heart tells me to go but my head whispers….better not
Dimash, it does not work well to follow the heart ❤️…from past experiences, but I do believe in following your true path. Not always what we want is what we need 😉
So I'm a little confused. Both you and he say how friendly Kazakh people are - they'll invite you into their home - but you also say how unfriendly and aggressive they can be and unsmiling and rude.
@@maxh7637 I was overwhelmed by the hospitality and how nice and open everyone was. And helpful. I have never experienced something like that ever. You can find people like that everywhere but in Kazakhstan more or less everyone was like that. I was staying there for three weeks and l will return as soon as I have the opportunity
This was very interesting!! I think Dennis is going to very busy in 2022 once everything opens back up.
Fantastic interview. Will definitely be booking a tour with Dennis when I'm there in a few months!
Amazing video! Looking forward to bringing my boyfriend to Almaty to show him around through Dennis’ tours
Omg !!! The mountain with snow and the hills is similar to my hometown “pokhara”
This was fascinating. Thank you so much!
I just visited the website... I am amazed by the work done by Dennis and his friends. Just WOW😍 I am so surprised and shocked...

Hey Clay, you may be right but I am ok with this flow #innerpeace#myhappyplacenow
Foreigners are treated very well in KZ.
There’s just a Soviet habit of mistrust of strangers. But it’s not applicable to foreigners/tourists.
Керемет Dennis Keen жарайсың!
Coming in September.
Sulta. how are you I plan visit Almaty soon
i love your laugh btw
Love ya channel ❤❤❤
Не мог понять почему он мне казался знакомым, я оказывается его на парах в универе видел 😅
nice i saw him in another channel, i think he is famous there :)
This a nice interview
But can't hear anything because of the horrible traffic noises
Honestly, more Americans have heard of Yuri Gagarin than Alan Shepard. Goddard Space Flight Center even has information about Gagarin.
Ой я узнаю его! он был ведущим на канале kazakh tv

We are too friendly in fact, but like if someone will bully our girls or us(boys) then boys can be very very aggressive:)
That is confusing me too. And I have heard both statements from several sources. I don’t know what to expect when I travel to Almaty next month.
