That actually pissed me off cause do you remember that one episode in s1 ( or s2 I forgot ) where his body guard got askumatised into a giant gorilla and Adrien decided to trust ladybug and jump like 100 meters to his impending death. Kinda sad that we're on the fourth season and the writers _still_ won't let Marinette talk to Adrien like a normal person. Season 4 has shown hints of improvements on that regard, but I'm worried it won't actually stick with how inconsistent the writing gets.
// mlb season 4 spoilers even in the fourth season literally every character whose had development suddenly got their development revoked and characters with barely any screentime (aka adrien) suddenly got their screentime revoked too :(( my only solace in this show is looking back at the former seasons. at least they weren't as disappointing as the rest of season 4... imo the only good ones were truth and lies bc both adrien and marinette got equal screentime and development which suddenly no one bothers with in the next episodes... but... i also have to give credit to story-centered episodes such as monster fu, gang of secrets, and Mr pigeon 72 bc they addressed a few concerns and holes within the plot; although, i believe it is necessary that they gave adrien/chat noir more screentime given that he too is a main character bc he barely got any... not in seasons 1-3 and neither in season 4...
Even though the relationship storyline is a terrible mess, you can’t deny that the superhero storyline and the inter dimensional universe has gotten SO much more interesting and cool to watch
I think the main difference is that Ladybug is actually aware of and has openly communicated her stance with Chat, whereas Adrien doesn't even seem completely aware that Marinette likes him. So it's not completely the same level. Mind, that doesn't excuse all of her other behaviors but I'm not going to hold her friendzoning Chat against her when she was completely up front and he chose to remain her friend knowing how she felt.
@@kcorphan308 THIS because when ladybug rejects chat noir she's completely aware of his feelings and literally shuts him down. adrien, on the other hand, dismisses *obvious* signs of a crush (blushing, stuttering, sudden clumsiness) as friendship AND participates in things that are traditionally seen as romantic, things that he doesn't even do with any of his other friends (like slow dancing with her, sleeping together on a train, give each other "lucky charms") and still doesn't seem to put two and two together.

Plus, as much as I like Luka, between him and Adrien, Adrien has an actual personality that extends beyond music and Marinette (buy even then, that's just by a bit, Adrien has so little development). As for Lukanette, hard agree, show shouldn't have thrown that away, or at least so soon. Luka and Kagami are red herrings, we all knew this the second we met them. However, Luka's calm, Kagami's decisive. They've got some of the traits Adrien and Marinette need to work on. Lukanette and Adrigami should have stuck around for a while while Adrien and Marinette started developing. I don't ship Lukanette (or really any ship), but if Adrienette's going to be canon, its fans deserve a well-written relationship.

Oh hey! I just did a rant on how Marinette basically stalked him! It's like her only personality traits are: Being qUiRkY, Ladybug, and *STALK ADRIEN* I consider Ladybug a personality trait since it's her most confident.
I feel like he will react differently, because they wouldn't want to give the fandom the true reveal feeling yet and they had to make it quick and snappy for the episode. That made me so fuckin mad cause both Gabriel AND Nathalie have had moments in S1 and/or S2 where they show that they do care about Adrien but Chat Blanc, the writers just went, "lmao fuk y'all". Adrien deserves a mother figure and Nathalie deserves development. Adrien deserves emotional development through moments with his father and Gabriel deserves development. It's a win-win-win to just continue with Gabriel being torn between his son and getting Emilie back and Nathalie wanting to be a part of the family (plus, and it's super long so ain't gonna explain my while idea here, written properly, Nathalie getting closer to Adrien could lead to Nathalie possibly finding out CN's identity and having gotten so close to Adrien yet far from Gabe that she doesn't know whether to tattle [on either], keep quiet, or leave).

New heros and in s4 marinette finally telling alya. I've been here since 2016 but idk just s1 seems a bit boring compared to the others. my only solace in this show is looking back at the former seasons. at least they weren't as disappointing as the rest of season 4... imo the only good ones were truth and lies bc both adrien and marinette got equal screentime and development which suddenly no one bothers with in the next episodes...
but... i also have to give credit to story-centered episodes such as monster fu, gang of secrets, and Mr pigeon 72 bc they addressed a few concerns and holes within the plot; although, i believe it is necessary that they gave adrien/chat noir more screentime given that he too is a main character bc he barely got any... not in seasons 1-3 and neither in season 4...
Even though the relationship storyline is a terrible mess, you can’t deny that the superhero storyline and the inter dimensional universe has gotten SO much more interesting and cool to watch

I think the main difference is that Ladybug is actually aware of and has openly communicated her stance with Chat, whereas Adrien doesn't even seem completely aware that Marinette likes him. Mind, that doesn't excuse all of her other behaviors but I'm not going to hold her friendzoning Chat against her when she was completely up front and he chose to remain her friend knowing how she felt.

Plus, as much as I like Luka, between him and Adrien, Adrien has an actual personality that extends beyond music and Marinette (buy even then, that's just by a bit, Adrien has so little development). As for Lukanette, hard agree, show shouldn't have thrown that away, or at least so soon. Luka and Kagami are red herrings, we all knew this the second we met them. However, Luka's calm, Kagami's decisive. They've got some of the traits Adrien and Marinette need to work on. Lukanette and Adrigami should have stuck around for a while while Adrien and Marinette started developing. I don't ship Lukanette (or really any ship), but if Adrienette's going to be canon, its fans deserve a well-written relationship.

Adrien deserves a mother figure and Nathalie deserves development. Adrien deserves emotional development through moments with his father and Gabriel deserves development. It's a win-win-win to just continue with Gabriel being torn between his son and getting Emilie back and Nathalie wanting to be a part of the family (plus, and it's super long so ain't gonna explain my while idea here, written properly, Nathalie getting closer to Adrien could lead to Nathalie possibly finding out CN's identity and having gotten so close to Adrien yet far from Gabe that she doesn't know whether to tattle [on either], keep quiet, or leave).
