Slow and steady. Once your viral you'll hafto work even harder to keep up or everything starts going down down down. You hafto do better than your last viral video to keep growing.

The how to grow on RUclips is obviously the biggest channel niche because every RUclipsr search how to grow there channel at some point. Its about doing it in a different way to basically leach subs and views from the already established leaders of that niche like this channel did from Darral Eaves and Tim Spoiner who where the leaders of this space before vid IQ come here. This channel also updates and adapts its content vs Darral Eaves who keeps doing the exact same videos over and over.

I go back and forth between thinking I'm doing good and that I suck, but watching this gave me a lot of hope. My gaming channel is 8 weeks old today. I have just over 300 subs, but 5 videos over 1k views (3 of those over 5k), and one from 12 days ago that is at 9.2k. I finally have hope that I'm doing something right.
Theres a formula im sure it kicks once the algo figures out your niche and if you got what it takes to make people click once it does show on their feed
Niching down seems really important. Maybe I need to narrow my focus to a more specific topic or audience. Keep it strong, making every video a bit better every time and enjoying the process 💪

One works and the other does not. Especially the process with promotion when you pay to push your video, youtube will find your audience but not the other way around. But we will keep going until we break through and are monitized

Completely agree with these strategies! Before getting started with making my channel live only 10 days ago i spent months studying vid IQ videos, using there tool for looking up outliers and making sure the videos we would make where straight and to thr point, answering a questions, started with a good hook and having an eye catching thumbnail and in these 10 days we went from 0 to 40 subscribers and from 0 to pver 3k views with only 4 videos (2 if you count each is done in both spanish and english) and 1 short that just released less than 24 hours ago. So I think if you truly dedicate the time to do your homework first the results will speak for themselves!
I’m not sure why creators are obsessed with number of views, when it’s how long people watch for that matter’s more. I had a video get 1k and it averaged just over 50s per view, so basically a failure. I’d rather see people enjoy the whole video!

So I have a question. Most of my shorts get around 600 to 5000 views. The one I posted yesterday got 14 views. I'm assuming it was the thumbnail. Is that generally why a video doesn't do well?
Look at my shorts, in May I was getting between 400 plus to 1.3 thousand just for the shorts, then in June it went down to 4 to 7 views per short - those I put private. You can upload through your PC or desktop device and you must go with the thumbnail it provides, or you can upload through your phone using the app and customize your thumbnail, which I did with my iPhone for the rest of the shorts and it made no difference. The shorts I uploaded in May was using my laptop. I also use hashtags and use video tags, made no difference. I'm also trying to find the right hour to upload the shorts.
take suggested videos on each of your videos, anything at the top of that list, make your next video roughly around that., what suggested into your last video can guide your next video, testing the theory so far it is going fairly well
I'll hard pass on the channel audits, been there before (never get picked, waste of 2hrs), but for some reason my channel is getting tons more views because of seasonality. That is, I'm based in Australia and my current viewers (more than 80% of them) are US-based, and have a major crush on frogs and their habitats. So while my frogs are hibernating the winter months, the US folk are getting ideas for what THEY can do for THEIR frogs in environments that I've helped propagate (originally an Aussie idea). Watchtime is up, subs are coming in and my 7day watched minutes is about to break through 20k. For me and my channel, this is unheard of. I just wanna know why now, and through who/how exactly.

Regardless of sub count, although this is a good metric, watch time is really important as well. I would love to end the month on 100subs and the same in watch hour. Praying for the best, but it will okey even if it does not. :) Kepp on pushing.
@@celpabedn They do pay for the views your old videos produce after you get monetized, but you don't get paid for the views you accumulated before monetization. So basically if your video has a million views before you're monetized, you don't get a penny for that.
that first channel you show has 28k subs, if you consider that a small channel - thats where your disconnect from your audience is. even 10k is huge. i would expect those kinds of view numbers from such a big channel. ok next is the tech channel - these are not by any stretch of the imagination "small channels" that your title alludes to - now im just felling really let down by the use of language here. i feel click baited in - and not in a positive way. ahh the truly small gaming channel finally a small channel. but i had to wait for it! 16k is not a "baby channel" oh my goodness! i am so confused with all the wording right now. i feel you only highlighted one small channel. although overall i liked the info in this vid.
Under 400 subs here and I have a video with over 13k views posted 2 months ago (I posted that video when I only had below 200 subs). I have 5 videos over 1k views, it’s definitely not luck but well calculated efforts over a period of time. Hey, I’m even earning a few bucks in affiliates 🤷🏻♂️ If I can do it, many others can too!

Just started a music video channel a couple weeks ago. I have one video I posted 2 days ago starting to take off.
I am up to almost 350 subs after 8 months. Doing between 1 to 3 videos per week all related to real estate. My content is easy. Properties. I can’t wait to get it monetized helpppppp
Regardless of sub count, although this is a good metric, watch time is really important as well. I would love to end the month on 100subs and the same in watch hour. Praying for the best, but it will okey even if it does not. :) Kepp on pushing.
I got just over 300 subs, it be nice if i could get to 500 but tbh,im well happy with how many i have..good luck to everyone 😊
If you get monetized, do they pay you for those videos you released before?
@@celpabedn They do pay for the views your old videos produce after you get monetized, but you don't get paid for the views you accumulated before monetization. So basically if your video has a million views before you're monetized, you don't get a penny for that.

What about outdoor channels?
that first channel you show has 28k subs, if you consider that a small channel - thats where your disconnect from your audience is. even 10k is huge. i would expect those kinds of view numbers from such a big channel. ok next is the tech channel - these are not by any stretch of the imagination "small channels" that your title alludes to -
now im just felling really let down by the use of language here. i feel click baited in - and not in a positive way.
ahh the truly small gaming channel finally a small channel. but i had to wait for it! 16k is not a "baby channel" oh my goodness! i am so confused with all the wording right now. i feel you only highlighted one small channel.
although overall i liked the info in this vid.

Me with 7.26 subscribers trying to grow and attract my audience and my video had a spike in viewership so when I do other videos my views drop.
Under 400 subs here and I have a video with over 13k views posted 2 months ago (I posted that video when I only had below 200 subs). I have 5 videos over 1k views, it’s definitely not luck but well calculated efforts over a period of time. Hey, I’m even earning a few bucks in affiliates 🤷🏻♂️ If I can do it, many others can too!
