My first time trying Guinness beer was with a few Irish coworkers at an Irish Club. My buddy bought the first round and asked who wanted a beer. I said sure I'll take a Budweiser, he brought back 8 Guinness for the four of us. I've loved it ever since!
Didn't know having a pint of Guinness with Brad was on the list of things to do but here we are.

Wow! everyone in this is so charming, including our Brad! And I learned a bunch about yeast, about the beer, and how to pour. I remember seeing trays of Guinness pints left to settle for 10 minutes or more with way too much on the initial head. I don't drink anymore, but I do still love to make a stew or meat pie with Guinness. Thanks for the information and fun Brad. You're all legends!

Wish I could get some of that proprietary yeast for my meads.
You can do better than that by collecting them yourself in the nature of your choosing. Forest, Garden, Flower fields... Just like you would when starting a sourdough stater.
@@Rosk03 Indeed, you are right. There's yeast all around us; you could collect them from fruit stems.
Doesn't mean they're suitable for making a tasty drink. Maybe some interesting bread, though.
@@HisVirusnessI used a popular lager yeast on my apple cider last batch and it didn't work out. Too much yeasty taste. And I back sweetened w fermentable sugars. So it's a bomb basically 🤣

Brad/crew: when y’all came home, did you find yourself talking in an Irish accent? It really is the most natural way to talk, especially after a few Guinness or shots of Jameson. Loved the smell of hash and turf burning in the morning🤟

One last tip: when you drink spread your legs about shoulder width apart, raise your elbow to about level with your chin level and drink deeply while you stare wistfully into the distance.

Awesome Brad! I loved Ireland and I also did the Guinness tasting room experience where you learn to pour in sort of a speakeasy style back room. It was amazing and anyone going to the factory… just spend the extra and do it. Also plenty of free Guinness!!!
The key is to “mess” up the first pour, nail it on the second, and you walk away with both! I haven’t been since 2018, but that was my strategy
@@priceb713 ha nice! Well the thing I did was an explanation of all the verses of Guinness and it’s evolution. By the time we got to the pour I have had 4 beers lol. My favorite was the Dublin porter which we can’t get state side

I’ve been to the Dublin factory and poured a “perfect pint” lol. A pint of Guinness in Ireland doesn’t even compare to Guinness here in the US. I miss it!
Every bartender needs to watch from about 11 mins in. One in ten pints of Guinness I've been served in the USA is always improperly poured.
You know why he nailed it? Because it doesn't freaking matter! Like at all! Its bear, with a bit less or a bit more foam. People just making stuff up for it too sound more complicated, chill and sip ))

There is a fungus among us
First sip was too small! Big gulps and ya gotta do what's called "Splitting the G", when you put the pint down the head should be halfway on the G in the Guinness logo. But a well poured pint all the same!
I'm pretty sure everyone would be 100% fine with leaving in every second of random "Brad explanations" of things. Or start a second channel with outtakes and BTS stuff. You have one subscriber right here!
