Hi Darragh, have you ever visited The International bar, Wicklow street. It’s a family run pub since 1838, same name and same family since. It’s one of the remaining 16 victorian Dublin pubs and has featured in James Joyce Ulysses. Famous for stand up comedy and live music and serves a great Irish stew for €10.
When I was a youngster and starting out on Guinness I was always told that Mulligans was the best pint of Guinness in Dublin. I went in and tried it but sher they could have given me a pint of Beamish back then and I wouldn't have known the difference. Most go back sometime with my now discerning pallette. Great video, what a nice man he is. Interesting to hear about the celebs that have come through the door. JFK, Tom Cruise, Daragh Curran...
Another pub I have visited in Ireland 🇮🇪 I will return to Ireland again this October to celebrate my birthday. Flying into Dublin and will undoubtedly have several pints throughout Dublin town.
Brilliant interview Darragh. Loving this new content. You should try visit some of the pubs the lads used while fighting for independence. As far as I know, Michael Collins was known to frequent in the Stags Head and Clearys pub for meetings / hideouts etc. Would be incredibly interesting to visit these pubs and find out if the owners would sit down for a chat.
Absolute great pub. Was there last July on a long weekend from Scotland! Looking forward to going back. Brilliant interview and great to learn more about the history. Cheers.
Great interview .. beautiful pub. After the match the TV goes off LoL and no sing songs. You've struck gold here Dar as 'The Pub Guru'. As the man said, when the tourists come this is what they're coming for. You can try but you cannot replicate the Irish Pub anywhere else. Show as much as you're allowed.
My fav episodes are when the barman gives you insights like at grave diggers. I have been in the beverage industry 37 years. dam i can smell and feel that peat fire after a very cold cemetery tour last february.
I’ve noted it on my list of sights for my trip in the future to Dublin. Thank you Daragh for the interesting content! Keep up the good work! Cheers from the Netherlands.
Love this content, Daragh. You could do a series of pub tours and interviews with the owners or head barman, and it would surely do very well. Cheers from Halifax, NS.
I love Mulligans, it's my favorite pub in Dublin. The few times that I have visited Dublin from Texas, it's a must stop for me. Thanks for sharing the history.
This was pure class. I was in Mulligan's before Christmas meeting friends from overseas for pints. It can't be beat for the no nonsense, sit down and smash pints vibe. This video made me want to go again for a pint.
Hi Daragh, I'd love to see a video in the future of you interviewing the chap that painted Mulligans and The Palace Bar.... that would be very interesting.... and I'm sure he'd have a few stories! I hope he's still Knockin about?? Irish Steve, From The Big Smoke. 😊
What a captivating interview! This stuff that engages with the family/owner/staff on the history/story of the pub is so down to earth and so uplifting at the same time-if that makes sense. I loved the one with the pub/owner out in connemara , the xmas vid. of "The Hole in the Wall" and it's story and now Mulligans . I seem to remember one with the gravediggers a few years ago-maybe this is the "X" factor you've been looking for Darragh? Pints and stories/history! Stick with this format Daragh , whenever possible. Thumbs up /sub from me.
Brilliant one Dar had pod cast vibes, what a top man he was and to be motivated like that after all these years is inspiring. Keep up the good work bro 💪🍻
There's a story with the grandfather clock. Next time your there have a pint with Billie Carr the barman will know who your talking about. RIP Billie and Dave.
Superb content really inetresting hearing the history & family history of the pub..When are you coming to Ballon Co Carlow?..Really enjoyed thanks a million.
Great pub, I bet it was the late great barman Mick McGovern who made that comment about U2. I was there the night in the 80s when he barred ballet dancer Wayne Sleep because he pirouette in the door after performing in the Olympia. Hilarious 😂😂.
Awesome channel! Good content and good people. Ive got Irish roots boys but i promise you if you come to Mississippi in August you will understand why cold soapy water hits the spot some days😂 just saying
If you can find it near you, you should try Suntory Premium Pilsner - it's like a super creamy pilsner really amazing beer curious what you might think of it - I feel like its the guiness of pilsners
Daragh mate! There are going rumors that the best pint of Guinness can be found in Bangladesh. Can u go there and investigate. Pack ur bag and good luck mate!
An amazing boozer. I've been living in Munich for many years, but when I'm back in Dublin I always take the opportunity to drop in for a couple of hours. One of the very best pubs to be found anywhere, period.
This is a homerun, Daragh. I hope that you enjoy making this type of content because it sure is fun watching it! Making notes for my next trip.

Dargah, I think you have nailed the new format. This is brilliant stuff. Your previous name is certainly getting a shoe in the door, keep going lad 👏
Cheers that SurfShark thing actually does the job for the iPlayer. Not sure I'll invest in the lawnmower yet😅

Should deffo look at some of the pubs that have been around since 1916. Loads of history and loads of pints
Every time I'm in Dub this is my first pub, so good!
Off to Dublin for a stag in May, you've given me a hell of a list on this channel. Looking forward to cramming them all in!
The Guru is ever-evolving, always changing shape to better distribute the creamy content. Blessings to you Guru!

Amazing episode 🍻 Can’t wait for my next trip to the Dub
We went mulligans recently whilst visiting Dublin and pint was shite - served in a 0% glass. Shocking!
My fav episodes are when the barman gives you insights like at grave diggers. I have been in the beverage industry 37 years.

A pint of Kilkenny is 7.40 in Mulligans, bloody pricey
Been following since you had 1k subscribers or so. Good stuff.
This is a quality video, is this kind of content going to continuing?
Took your advice and visited last summer for a couple of pints. Lovely place
I love Mulligans, it's my favorite pub in Dublin. The few times that I have visited Dublin from Texas, it's a must stop for me. Thanks for sharing the history.
You should do a video like this in Dingle
You've hit the nail on the head here. This is the content 👍
This was pure class. I was in Mulligan's before Christmas meeting friends from overseas for pints. It can't be beat for the no nonsense, sit down and smash pints vibe. This video made me want to go again for a pint.
Great content Daragh, Love Mulligan’s too!
Great hearing from these veteran pub owners.
Hi Daragh, I'd love to see a video in the future of you interviewing the chap that painted Mulligans and The Palace Bar.... that would be very interesting.... and I'm sure he'd have a few stories! I hope he's still Knockin about??

Great pub, I bet it was the late great barman Mick McGovern who made that comment about U2. I was there the night in the 80s when he barred ballet dancer Wayne Sleep because he pirouette in the door after performing in the Olympia. Hilarious 😂😂.
Another interesting video, Keep up the good work
Coming over in March for the rugby, 100% making this a priority 👌
Unreal pint lovely pub
Wait till May when the Europa Final is Klopp’s last match. I am probably coming in from Houston
Mulligans do Kilkenny on tap - great scoop!👌🏼
Going to give it a bash on Friday 👍
What an interesting video! Loved it
Daragh, Do you think you can send me a link to where you buy your sweater pocket shirts.
You need to do a pint review in Sydney, Australia
Show a map of where it is in the city for us from out of country
It’s on poolbeg street
Awesome channel! Good content and good people. Ive got Irish roots boys but i promise you if you come to Mississippi in August you will understand why cold soapy water hits the spot some days😂 just saying
awesome , i am enjoying this with a lovely pint of guinness
Lovely video!
Didn’t know they mix the gas on site in pubs now…that does explain why the consistency of Guinness now is far better now than
It used to be.
If you can find it near you, you should try Suntory Premium Pilsner - it's like a super creamy pilsner really amazing beer curious what you might think of it - I feel like its the guiness of pilsners
Can anyone recommend any good Guinness bars in Blackpool?
Clancy's Pub on Main Street does a great pint. McDougle's Bar on 4th Street is a close second! Enjoy mate!
Very interesting video , I enjoyed my breakfast watching this one .
Daragh mate!
There are going rumors that the best pint of Guinness can be found in Bangladesh. Can u go there and investigate. Pack ur bag and good luck mate!
The great Kerry journalist Con Houlihan, RIP, would have been a regular when the Irish Press was going.
I have been drinking in Mulligans for years but the pint of Guinness has gone downhill the last while.
An amazing boozer. I've been living in Munich for many years, but when I'm back in Dublin I always take the opportunity to drop in for a couple of hours. One of the very best pubs to be found anywhere, period.
"period"
Brilliant.
Great boozer but the last pint i got there was bang average.
You should've put McGregor's name in the title would've done 48k hits like last one. Something like Conor was once in here
I miss the days when he ate a sausage and talked about it
I miss when he used to stop videos to sell a ball shaver
@@knabzco dont worry I still do that
The pints have gone shite
BBC BLUE PETER made a programme here in 1972 .
Never seen u drink a pint so slow 😅
👏🏻
I've had better tasting cans of Guinness compared to what I was served in gravediggers. Honestly.
No sing songs, that's disappointing
O Donoghues.
Overrated. They throw you out pints of slop (Guinness) and expect ya be happy with it because it’s “famous”. Kilkenny is class in there though.
1st
Nah man. You were only second.
This not your stale content? 😅😅😅
