It's quite funny how the 'default' sprites are of different characters - Jax when frozen, female ninjas when Hat Sliced, Kung Lao when having his soul stolen and the correct male ninjas everywhere else.
I notice... when Noob is finished by some fatalities, his sprites gain a shade of blue. And one of the Mortal Kombats pointed out that Noob is the Sub Zero of MK1 and the real Sub Zero's brother..... Thus... ?!
Well, what's going on here is that it's trying to read a palette that doesn't exist for those sprites (this is why grey Kitana will turn blue when fatalitied in base MK2). Other things crash reliably because there isn't any animation info for certain reactions.
Some of the “worst” fatalities for him, such as Mileena’s eat fatality and Sub-Zero’s ice grenade demonstrated why Noob is not playable. The sucking is supposed to have an animation for each character. It’s not intended to be all in black. Noob being frozen is one thing, which can be done if you get to him regularly through the 50, 2 player fights. But having him blow up from white: not intended. The game freaks out. Where other fatalities on Noob, the game can compensate (such as taking off his head with Cage or even shattering his head with Jax) although it’s sometimes not pretty. Noob is just not realistic until MK2+, where the bugs were fixed.
