Makes me happy to know :) I know an Ultimate/Normal Mortal Kombat 3 Mega Drive glitch where if you let Player 2 join the game while Shao Kahn is dying (wait for the background to change) then you can play on that floorless background. If you uppercut, you'll transition to what seems to be another stage but after it fades to white it Blue Screens with an Illegal Instruction error :D
Just a head's up for those maybe wondering. You can never truly play as the bosses in MK1 for the SNES or SEGA no matter what you'd do either with glitches or a game genie simply because the characters aren't programmed for player-control. This is why the game will crash if you press a button because it doesn't recognise the input. So for anybody searching for "cheats" or exploits to play as Goro or Shang Tsung, don't waste your time, you will never play as them characters in the original game. There is a good hack version of MK1 SNES that lets you play as them because the creator has programmed them to be playable. It's called Mortal Kombat Champion Edition! :)
