The Master and the Apprentice are both Sith; servants and other lackeys that might get some dark side training (like the Knights of Ren, The Inquisitors, or Ventress) are "acolytes".
From what Qimir said, it feels like he is not really sith, he said that's how they would call him, maybe there can be still 2 real siths somewhere hiding who don't like this Qimir doing mess around.
it could be that he recently killed his master. But also isn't Vader still considered a sith lord even while apprentices to palpatine? So he could be a sith lord and still apprenticed to tenebrous, right?
Both master and apprentice held the title of a Sith Lord under the Rule of Two. According to Wookiepedia, they both even held the mantle of Dark Lord of the Sith.

Darth is literally a Sith word that means something akin to Dark Lord in their ancient language. Any Sith who has achieved much during their time can earn the title of Dark Lord, confirming their power and lethality even if they are a lowly apprentice.

Cute that people think anyone at Lucasfilms would care for continuity or consistency
Oh sure a Knight of Ren ... Over almost 130 or 140 Year before Kylo Ren turned evil ... sure
Well, it's confirmed, Anakin did blow up the DS.
Why would Tenebrous be unavoidable? Did they reintroduce him to the canon after James Luceno's Plagueis novel fell into the "Legends" classification?
He’s mentioned in a comic that’s canon
He's also the master of Plagueus (canon)
Question what are the knights of Ren? I only ever heard of it in the sequel and assumed it was started by kylo ren because his name. So I’m very confused on how he would be theorized to be a knight of ren if that group hasn’t been established yet.
Ren is a title. Kylo killed previous Ren and took his title alongside his group. And that Ren killed the leader before him and took his name. We don't know for how long knights of Ren exist, but it would make sense for Quimir to be the original Ren trying to establish his own group of dark siders.
@@osiolek1112I just looked it up and on the wookiepedia it say Knights of Ren was established in 3 ABY…so 3 years after the battle of Yavin but Acolyte is like 100 years before Ep.1 even happens.
Would be some terrible writing and yet I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens.
@FacePunchSammich Oh, I didn't know that. Disney is retconong their own stuff from comics and books all the time, though. So I would be surprised if somehow Acolyte turns up to be the most consistent d+ show, lol.
@@osiolek1112 dude the retcons are insane…can’t believe they tried to portray the Jedi as morally bad earlier on in Acolyte. They’ve gone off the deep end.
Yeah, Orginaly in a novel Ahsoka killed the 6th Brother. In Tales of the Jedi it's a new inquisitor. They do change their own canon all the time. Andor said he was never in prison in R1. In his own show he goes to prison.
I didn’t even think about the rule of 2… I’ve been complaining about Ki Adi so much 😂
Rule of 2 wasn't established yet.
