Oh my gosh. I love her! Her story opened the door for me to find Christ when I read her book at 12. I wrote her and she even took the time to write me back. That was one of the sweetest moments.

Proud of you Bethany! Shame on WSL. If we can get all the girls, women, coaches, trainers ect to take the “L” for just a year anytime they’re put up against a biological male. I think that’s what it’s going to take. We have to stand together. So even if you don’t play the sport, go support the girls with a peaceful protest. Just signs that say we won’t participate. All the women/girls from all sports have to come together to support our gender!!

I stand with women!
My older brother (by 3 years) played baseball. I was a pretty good catcher so I’d catch for him every summer. This was when we were both under 13 or 14 years. When he hit puberty… from one summer to the next, I could no longer catch the pitches he threw - that summer after he hit puberty I couldn’t catch anything he threw. It would bruise my hand through an excellent, well padded catcher’s mitt. I thought the first hard ball he threw that summer was a one off thing so I kept trying… but it kept getting worse. I was done in that first session of the summer! When the Philly’s came to scout him as a pitcher when he was still in High School, they clocked him at 98 mph. No wonder! I never caught another pitch from him after that LOL.

Good for her, but her name doesnt have to be on a jersey. To think and feel that your name has to be on a jersey is the opposite of humble. It takes a lot of courage in the world to step up to what is right/true esspecially in these last days, im so proud of her and give her encouragement to remember that ita not about pleasing the world..its about pleasing God. Its not always easy to do that, we all know that.
She’s right, the only other female surfer I know by name is Coco Ho. I know there are a ton of them, they’re just not as well known as the male surfer’s unfortunately (but even then I could only name like 4)

Good for her! That was probably hard for her to do, cause that’s literally giving up her career. But I hope and pray that because of her doing that, that it’ll be a cause for change.
I will never understand sports leagues making it co-Ed instead of just opening a new league? Like have an open comp where anyone of any gender or orientation can compete but also have closed leagues for people who qualify for those. And who's to say that there can be a trans / non-binary league? I don't get it
There wouldn't be enough people in a trans category for it to be on equal standing with the men's and women's so it would be bad optics of basically shoving them to the back. But their solution is also terrible optics so 🤷♀️

The lack of moral fiber ,fairness and self responsibility of these men insisting on competing in Women's only Sports goes against unacceptable on so many levels. Women's Sports were protected until a few year ago . Things must change for the sake of our children and grandchildren.

She's awesome, but not sure what she is talking about here. Men don't compete against women in the WSL. Is this something new? Not sure how I missed it. The WSL was one of the first sports organizations in the world to give equal pay for women, by the way. Now, the new WSL mid season cut and finals deals, those suck for sure.
She's talking about the policy on transgender athletes. She's careful not to say men and only males, though that could also be controversial to some people.

Sort of hypocritical that she'd compete in the boys' divisions when she was younger (as girls develop faster than boys at a young age). So when it benefited her to compete in the boys' division, she'd compete, but now she doesn't want that same thing in reverse when it doesn't benefit her (after those boys went through puberty).
You're for sure not comparing being slightly taller as a 7 year old with the physical changes of male puberty 💀💀
