I never understood all the white van shit until it actually happened to me. I was at the bank with one of my buddies when some dude rolls up in a truck and told us to stop by another parking lot because they're selling 60" TVs for a $100. Dude was pretty adamant about it.
I have this same setup, it's so good. Put the sub in your backpack, set up the surrounds on shoestrings around your neck, and it's like an Instant Home Theater.
I feel like being helpful for some reason so here's a little tip I learned a long time ago (forgot how). I used to have Snell CV speakers that had screws and some kind of tacky putty securing the drivers. To easily remove most drivers from there cabinets, simply use a wine bottle corkscrew. It works better than you imagine it would!
I have a little system like this, same deal with the white van branded 5.1 amp in the sub, basically the same control scheme, too. I gave it to my PCA client, we set it up in 2.1 with some better 4" 2-way satellites and the system is pretty alright (considering we picked it from the junk bin at Free Geek.) It's great for video games, honestly. Just enough volume and thump to be a significant upgrade over TV speakers. These systems have their place.
Then it would have to be a resistor because a capacitor doesn't just take charge and then get rid of it because then it would go back into the speaker, a capacitor stores energy and when another surge comes the capacitor won't be able to take that charge and will go to the speaker or the capacitor would blow up. These speakers have resistors as they limit the current that goes into the speaker, it will be with a high surge sensor and the sensor would open up the circuit for the resistor when there is a surge. OR It could be a fuse that blows when it exceeds 15W
Mr.Someone \Tom/ you're both wrong. It's not surge protection, it's simply a basic filter to limit 'harmful' low frequency reaching those tiny satellite drivers
It is a capacitor. They block the bass from satellite speakers. Smaller value capacitors are used for tweeter crossovers, and those block midrange frequencies as well.
Dude, they look just like the ones I sold at "The Warehouse" (now Sam's Warehouse) about 10 yrs ago when cheap or "affordable" 5.1's were becoming popular, but re-branded. Or they might be legit products since the cheap and nasty stuff back then literally used the same "model style" but had difference brand names on them. It looks like early to mid 2000's tech for budget consumers.
I have a question I have a pair of pioneer speakers the model is the ts-w252r 600w max and I don't know if thay are good or not and I have no knowledge of spekers what so ever
This speakers system have verry nice electronics inside. nice heatsink, nice transformer and amplifier , subwwoofer look nice design and construction. Only bad thing is speakers driver and sattelites with bad design build. is much better this amplifier than all classD what you see on market
I got a bass unit that had no amplifier plug. The electronics were inside of it but nothing was hooked up. Basically, they put a power inverter inside a box,two eight ohm speakers attached to a jack but no power cord to plug in the bass box. I removed the guts, except the speakers and added an amp from a computer bass box. It rattles and shakes but the speakers are garbage. I got some better sub speakers that I get from a car that may work better but I am not sure if I can get rid of the rattle.
i thought so, i'd read a few AV forum posts that said they were shit, i had a Yamaha RX-V390 that i got from a friend but the left channel started crackling yesterday so im looking around for a replacement, fortunately i have a logitech Z906 to cover for now
nick fatsis thanks for the tip, i figured out it only happens when it's in the neutral position, so it doesn't effect me and i scored a better amp recently but thanks for the help
My sister had some white van speakers in her room from 2016 up til 2018 It was a 5.1 suround system with bluetooth Worked fine other than connections coming undone do to poor solding inside but yeah they sucked in build with rock inside to make them feel more legit. They tried to rip off polk speakers and the reciever had the subwolfer builtin down-firing It at least worked fine for its one given task as a standalone blutooth speaker with only the center channel having faulty soldirning. The satellite speakers had a fake tweeter in there too Orohn ron I think it was Another white fan speaker I got ripped off on was a 20buck sub wolfer on salvation army It worked fine but it was kaveli or whatever that ripped off another brand It worked fine too just built like ass with sandbags in the void space in the wood
You can't possibly compare PRO PA drivers with Kilowatts of power to that consumer home theater cheap rubbish in a box. But the white van system is dam good fun to blow up with flames.
Shaze Zone don't listen to that, they faults advertise alot maybe 20 watts per channel at best... but it's still a good amp! Drives my sub and two speakers!
Those satellite speakers probably wouldn't be bad if they had bass blockers, using a lot of power in the low end there but the sub should be handling that. By the way are you sure the "resistor" in the speaker isn't a capacitor being used as a passive crossover for the satellite speakers? (it looks like a metal film capacitor to me)
I have a huge problem with my amplefier it en home stereo the name is en onkyo the problem is wen I turn it up my speakers pop then my amp gos to protect and my seekers ornt blon ?
Those white van speaker system is only worth blowing you could buy something better for your outside system for outside you could buy used AV receiver for outside and some better speakers cost pending on what you want mine was $60 $25 for the receiver from good will and the speakers some very rare vintage 12 inch about $30, sounds damn good too.
See in order to get q (surround) sound, in the back on the bottom you see 5.1, and there are 3 little inputs, so you would need a triple splitter for complete surround sound. that due to those being computer speakers. but I'm sure this isn't useful because you already blew them. they are like the Logitech 5.1 computer speakers with the small skinny crappy woofer. I just relized you just said that but this is going out there.
there is actually real company behind this speakers it was actually made in 2002 by a danish company named Dantax because i had that system but the quality was better on that system i had.
"I broke a leg off off putting it on the ground"
LMFAO
Why can't these guys just sell marijuana?
I never understood all the white van shit until it actually happened to me. I was at the bank with one of my buddies when some dude rolls up in a truck and told us to stop by another parking lot because they're selling 60" TVs for a $100. Dude was pretty adamant about it.
I had some speakers like this I gave them to someone and they really liked how much bass they make LOL.
there is a video on my channel with them.
The build quality of those wasn't bad for white van speakers----I've seen far worse. Having said that, they're still not good enough.
Still better than Dr Dre Beats
The President of The Internet okay
Some of Dre. Dre’s Beats Bluetooth speakers use Peerless by Tymphany drivers such as their Beatbox.
I have this same setup, it's so good. Put the sub in your backpack, set up the surrounds on shoestrings around your neck, and it's like an Instant Home Theater.
I wanna see this thing light up like a roman candle.

Still better than my speaker, damn I wish I had a set of speakers 😂
Gabe Moler i have mare my own speakers 😂
True, I guess I could always make some. they have tutorials online
Those speakers look like they could fit in the dual 18” sub ports. They are TINY!
OOOooooooh SNAP!! Dude, you just scored some sa-weet audiophile speakers!! You sir are a lucky man...... a lucky man indeed.

No they dont. Dont lie to your self.
That's not a resistor inside the speaker it is a capacitor to keep the really high surges from killing them

Okay thanks
dec blocking maybe

Interesting! Can't wait for the blowout!
Me: damn these don't sound to terrible!
Bass: drops.
Me: never mind then😂😂
Blowing this speaker

I'm wondering which time zone you're in then as 'australian time 9pm' can be any of the 5 or 6 timezone Australia has.
This speakers system have verry nice electronics inside. nice heatsink, nice transformer and amplifier , subwwoofer look nice design and construction. Only bad thing is speakers driver and sattelites with bad design build. is much better this amplifier than all classD what you see on market
Hey what song is he playing during the first 2 minites if the video
Back ground music while showing off the van speakers?
I got a bass unit that had no amplifier plug. The electronics were inside of it but nothing was hooked up. scott firman polyfil. that crap polyester filling in pillows. stuff your box full of it
The design is very interesting. It looks like if a PC and a dehumidifier had a baby.
Is it me or his speaker setup in his theater is too overkill?
Yeah too many sub
Is that blue and black wire sky high audio wire?
what brand are those 4 woofers laid horizontally?
background music? please please tell me I have been trying to find it forever, the music in the beginning
just out of curiosity what are you going to do with the amp?
keep it
what was the Skytec amp you mentioned like for sound quality, etc? im kinda interested in them cos they're so cheap
Absolutely horrible, never buy one. Save your money for something decent even if it means much less power!
i thought so, i'd read a few AV forum posts that said they were shit, i had a Yamaha RX-V390 that i got from a friend but the left channel started crackling yesterday so im looking around for a replacement, fortunately i have a logitech Z906 to cover for now
DJtechwolf what is your phone number
DJtechwolf, you might find the "crackling" sound you're hearing is the volume control just needing a clean and relube,
nick fatsis thanks for the tip, i figured out it only happens when it's in the neutral position, so it doesn't effect me and i scored a better amp recently but thanks for the help
It looks like my old LG sub from 2007 lol
Found your channel last night and subbed 😂 should jam Rittz switch lanes or bounce on them 18s
My sister had some white van speakers in her room from 2016 up til 2018

It worked fine but it was kaveli or whatever that ripped off another brand

Whats the backround music during the first few minites of the video
loving the music choice! ifucken love hopsin. my favorite rapper. I L L M I N D
Do you have a playlist in SoundCloud?
You can't possibly compare PRO PA drivers with Kilowatts of power to that consumer home theater cheap rubbish in a box. But the white van system is dam good fun to blow up with flames.
Hey doublsmm how is the lepai lp2020a+ vs that amp witch is better ?
I wanna know this too!
I have a 2020A+, not a bad amp for the price. Not a whole lot of power but it sounds cleaner than this from the video.
GoogleMinus ya dude I have the Secound gen I bought for 30$ 50 watts perchannel
GoogleMinus I own the 2020a+ and I love it too! I love it!
Shaze Zone don't listen to that, they faults advertise alot maybe 20 watts per channel at best... but it's still a good amp! Drives my sub and two speakers!
Does anyone know the name of the first song for the background music?
beauthifoul speaker system
have you tried the Harmon kardon onyx studio Bluetooth speakers they are awesome
Those satellite speakers probably wouldn't be bad if they had bass blockers, using a lot of power in the low end there but the sub should be handling that. By the way are you sure the "resistor" in the speaker isn't a capacitor being used as a passive crossover for the satellite speakers? (it looks like a metal film capacitor to me)
i like your speaker in the background :) - look likes Monitorspeakers from a Studio *mhhh*
Oh wow. You have a lot of speakers in your place.
I have a huge problem with my amplefier it en home stereo the name is en onkyo the problem is wen I turn it up my speakers pop then my amp gos to protect and my seekers ornt blon ?
No need to comment back I've already figured out a solution
i saw these at a goodwill.
These seems not that bad. I saw some people find rocks in those speakers :)
Hey doublsmm do u still have it
Whats the speaker called ?
that song was not disco.
Agerix Official
it was shit
Those sats looked like they had Bose drivers. The Bose cubes actually use the same exact (almost) driver.
But I know for a fact that these are even worse. The Bose cube drivers were already bad.
Q Sound is still a thing? Last time I heard of Q Sound, was the Sega CD.
@2:20 the rooms extremely LIT
Nice big Philips TDA Amp IC's
Heat sinks round the wrong way.
White van scam speakers will often times have multiple woofers in a enclosure wired at half a ohm which most amplifiers can't handle half an ohm
dude the small speakers are și good
Ill mind of Hopsin 8😂 love that song
7:55 lmao someone should make a bass boost meme from that
whats that song
Hey, nice video. I subscribed to your channel.
haha tim is ook ff hier!!
Awesome name
heeej tim is ook hier!
can't wait
is there a follow up on the sub?
That's a fairly similar sub compared to the HT-D550, however the HT-D550 has more movement and is WAY louder.
You should see if you can blow the sub with it's own amp, my Sony 5.1 system has got pretty close before
Doublsmm 8:37 "And so is this song"???? I was enjoying it pretty much actually.
it actually looks like it has a pretty nice toroidal transformer
White van white stuff!!
Got a heat sink to put your 100 watt LED projects on at least.
What price is it???
*Its white van*
I love speakers
For all you scrubby music name needs- it hopsin- ill of mind 8
can you test logitech 2300?
these arent as bad as whitevan, they actully went up a step from whitevan to cheap, these dont seem too bad.
i remeber a guy that told me, if you want hi-tech equipment, do not look at the prize...
The fortnite mid who dosent know about speakers. It sound really bassy
I just relized you just said that but this is going out there.
does anyone know any cheap and good 1000watt subwoofer for home/pc
Can you make setup video and show you all amps
Doublsmm . VOXSON isnt white van . These are NOT white van speakers its a brand Target used to sell . Title is missleading
The only difference betweem these and white van speakers are where they're sold. These are most definitely rebranded Chinese OEM products
ppl knew what where they buying when they bought those speaker in store.
song?
t&l skate life ____ Ill mind of Hopsin 8
Listen as white van systems go, its not terrible
PA doesn't stand for Pro Audio but for Puplic Address....
doublesmm where do u get your subs
"not very good" he has super high expectations
I had super low expectations while watching this and still thought it wasn't good
hey could you send th amp from the voxson i love messing with these cheap bastards
u should connect the sub out to the big speakers
Next time, spent some money on a tripod, then people wouldn't get seasick watching this video !
I think the Cut isn't so high, the crossover is i think only a 1th or 2nd order.
I LOVE pompeii by Bastille
hopsin yes!
Hopsin bro!
nice vid
Do more speaker opening videos!
Is tht ill mind of hopsin, nvm it is lol
Hey man i got a vid idea for you channel: make buyers gudes for speaker and amps, for 50 dollars 100, 200, 500....
there is actually real company behind this speakers it was actually made in 2002 by a danish company named Dantax because i had that system but the quality was better on that system i had.
Shotout for Hopsin
