In regards to the "double magnet" thing, you're quite right about it being to cancel out the magnetic field from the "main" magnet there to protect screens, but this applies only to CRT screens; so unless you're using a CRT screen for your computer, it doesn't really matter. Has no effect on LCD/LED screens.
thank you for showing this, I was courious about crossover parts, but yeah... no suprise, the cheapest parts possible there. (exactly oposite as you describe it)
Watching this video with Zensor 1 at my pc. Bought these back when they released and have been enjoying them every day since, love these! Got a pair of Dali 850 Floor standing speakers as well, they are from an older series called Red series.
i got a set of the active versions of these (zensor 1ax) and they are amazing! paired with a sub e-12 and a home built 10 inch subsonic sub.. absolutely pounds! both for loud and bassy music, but also for relaxing, calm jazz or blues.. fantastic allround speakers! :D
I have Zensor 5's and they're amazing! I am going to get either a Zensor Vokal (center) or Zensor 1's too, just to improve my HT experience. I absolutely love your channel, you're my biggest idol! Now with that being said...jk.
The baske t is stamped with a finish and it is not first rate. Upper midrange is totally missing, and that's everyone I've ever listened to. They add wood fibers to the molding which is what you see. The best part of the speaker is the crossover and the tweeter. If you don't believe me, change the woofer to the HiVi F5 (phase plug). I did that to raise the level of quality much higher. They are not the only speaker with this problem because my PSB Alpha B1 had the same problem.
DALI is for Denmark like SEAS is for Norway No compromises in the sound quality for both brands of speakers. While DALI is better known for their pre-built and excellent speakers, SEAS is more known for their DIY oriented speaker kits (which you can pretty much customize to your liking) - although, you can buy pre-built speakers under the DynaBel branding
Can you also make a video where they play music? I know I could look at youtube but I like your voice and your videos thumbs up And greetings from germany
Hey bro I've been watching your channel for a while now and it seems like you know a lot about speakers and amplifiers and stuff. So i thorght i'd ask you this question i searched all over the internet but i couldn't find anything so i have a pretty old sony gr8 stereo system and one of the speakers works really well but the other gets really distorted when loud or on low bass notes would you know why?..... please reply
Various GamesHD but you know what the problem is my stereo system is so old that the speaker boxes were just glued chipwood boxes but they have pretty descent woofers in them i just need to find out a way to open the box the worst part is that even the speakers are not screwed or they are screwed from in inside of the speaker box.
+SkidMarkz I am sure that means that there is dust or something else stuck in the magnet, where the voice coil moves the scrach/distortion happens when the voice coil hits the dust particle or a piece of metal inside of the magnets You might have to replace the driver, if you don't know how to re-cone (and clean it) Or just buy a new speaker
I am not 100% sure but i think you are wrong with the Magnet at the back. Its purpose is to extend the magnetic field so the voicecoil is in a fully homogenic magnetic field. If it was not there the speaker would have a weaker magnetic field in its max excursion which leads to less precision.
Great video i own an pair of these Dali speakers and i love them. You can use the mounting keyhole too hang these speakers on the wall it actually improves the Bass performance :-) with the package 4 transparent feets are supplied which can be fit at the back off the speaker too create an distance between the wall and the speaker.
i like bass but i dont have that much knowlage on building sound and such. But if i replace the subwoofer in a logitech z-530 with a 250W RMS peak power at 750W RMS subwoofer, will that work? Will it damage the sub or the other speakers, will it sound bad? Or will it be okey?
You mean changing the sub driver? That won't help (maybe a little if it's more sensitive). You can try a driver with a lower impedance, but i can't guarantee you won't blow the amp. A friend of mine has a 1.3 ohm impedance driver in his Logitech sub and it works fine, but again, can't guarantee anything. i would recommend you spare up some money and buy a stereo amp(or maybe a home theater amp, it's up to you how much you want to spend, and what you really need) with a "sub out" port, two DALI Zensor Pico's, and a DALI SUB E-9 F subwoofer. i you do that you will have good sound, suberb bass, and much joy for many years.
That's a bad point, why? Because the logic of an larger magnet always equaling a better speaker only applies to ferrite magnets, such as the ones shown on the dali woofers, However, the ND-105 uses a neodynium magnet, which is different from a ferrite magnet. The rules depend on the magnet, dude.
if you can afford to pay to 700$ on speakers im sure your monitor isnt tube (oled) and your hardrive isnt a disk drive (ssd) both are not afected by magnet
BassErex before I got Into bass and loud big woofer I was the sameway as you I mean before I got addicted to the bass and subs. which was like 4 or 5 or 3 years ago I wasn't noticing about lot of bass and then I watched lots and researched what subwoofers were. But now I'm into and SO ADDICTED LIKE I NEED THESE BIG SUBWOOFERS WITH LIKE 3000 WATTS XD LOL
As he said the back magnet is placed inverted to the magnetic fieldto cancel out the magnetic field, if they wanted stronger motor force they would put it inside
Dali is just one of the best sounding speakers out there i would recommend you to hear Dali Zenor 7.
But they are expensive..?
@@jaynee8581 I got a black pair of 7’s off marketplace for 600

Great speakers, dont change zensor for lektor or oberon, zensor has so much larger dynamics,Get Zensor 3,5 or 7 and keep them forever, trust me😉👍

i can feel the smell of the wood of the speakers through the screen
I can't
I love The Whats inside series!! Keep up The god work.
Those speakers in my opinion I think they are A+ rated
That is an example of high quality speakers. Very beautiful woofer. Dali know what they’re doing.
Love teardowns

I've got a pair of Zensor 1 and I love how they sound ;)
Cool to see this being a DALI Zensor 3 owner, nice video! I got my Zensor 3s for £280 in the UK which IMO was a good deal they have never failed me :)
I love the "DALI sound" :)
I have Zensor 5's and they're amazing! I am going to get either a Zensor Vokal (center) or Zensor 1's too, just to improve my HT experience.

I had a Mackie monitor speakers the CR4's and their AMPLIFIED they sound real good for video editing and etc
"I wont touch it because its too pretty"

magnets dont effect monitors anymore, because modern monitors dont use crt screens
i like this whats inside series

but it still works perfectly fine when on normal volume
Various GamesHD but you know what the problem is my stereo system is so old that the speaker boxes were just glued chipwood boxes but they have pretty descent woofers in them i just need to find out a way to open the box the worst part is that even the speakers are not screwed or they are screwed from in inside of the speaker box.

I've always used bic america bookshelf speakers and used 2 pairs of them and they sound good.
5:52 "with that being ... um ... said"
nice try though!
BTW I love your vids!!!

i have those and i love them. they can't play bass but it's just another reason to get a 12" sub
I would suggest your positioning needs to change, mine are an inch from the wall and Bass is fine and punchy, also DO NOT toe-in.
Can you open canton sp 206 they are nice
Could you do a short sound/bass test before tearing them down?
If you ever get your hands on the Dali E-F 12inch subwoofer, A proper in depth review would be awsome. Cheers
those are some beefy drivers paired with a modest crossover and a nice solid box what could be bad about em? :D
holy shit i have these speakers for my too! they are really good. hooked up to a kenwood krf-6090d
I recommand the Zensor 3. A funny bass -monster with its 7” woofer.

Someone knows how the sound of those tweeters compares with Vifa tweeters? (d27tg-35-06). Thanks.
Dali make all of their components used in their speakers in house, that's why everything is branded.
These look like Chinese made drivers.
Rex Mills Dali makes them speakers in denmark no China only quality
@@FXV56
Dali also have a factory in China
@@MantiaRyche WOW that comment is a year old! I can't see myself saying that these days , yes they have a factory in China .. for cheaper products
Can you do a bass test on them
Nice to see. Do you open klipsch speakers??😊
I don't think he has ever had any klipsch speakers before, so probably not.
Mr. Spoilers thats bad , Klipsch are great speakers . I am glad i see what is going on in the inside 😎 grtz
What is the pice of that speaker
Do both amps
Favourite brand👌
5:52 & 7:08 * hardly trying not to say "with that beeing said" * :D
also:
I luv ur vids like a fat kid luvs cake
:)
I hope you ever open a Klipsch reference premiere speaker 😮
not very impressive tho, not bad for the money, but that crossover isn't hi-q
2:16 that ring is on there for extra bass and power
It sort of tickles me that you sound like Kermit The Frog everytime you say the word ‘remove’😂
But nice review bro, like your videos!👌🏻
Thanks , I have a pair and you saved me "having" to open them! Disappointed the wires aren't soldered to the speakers.
Why does the tweeter have a huge magnet?
Probably to increase sensitivity.
I wanna see whats inside the Cerwing Vega amps,so...GET TO IT :P
Iove your vids !!! Please do a Dayton audio b452
totally agree- now mine sound even better!
You should look at totem speakers
Nice!
not a high quality crossover. what does beefy mean lol. thanks for the whats inside though. i love seeing whats inside.
i have a dali sub and for a small sub it packs a punch and a half makes my house rattle though
The E-9 F?
What's the wattage?
Wattage isn't that much of an important number. however, they take my 115 watts just fine:)
Sorry bro but a fat magnet doesn't mean a better speaker. The Dayton ND-105 speakers proofs it
Yeah true, can't compare it.
Inside the CV2800
Only CRT monitors get affected by magnets, maaan.
whats with the titles in caps? It looks a bit unprofessional.
daaaaali
if you can afford to pay to 700$ on speakers im sure your monitor isnt tube (oled) and your hardrive isnt a disk drive (ssd) both are not afected by magnet
" with that being said"
Did you know that Dali stands for Danish audiophile loudspeaker industries
subbed :)
He have a fun with a *NEW SUBWOOFERS*
I no have fun with a 20 watts rms :(
Wtf is your english grammar
Its Poland Grammar
Oh so its nothing new from polish people

Very robust! I've seen $1800 speakers pulled apart with flimsy components and drivers.
It's Sunday......
The second magnetic actually improves bass
As he said the back magnet is placed inverted to the magnetic fieldto cancel out the magnetic field, if they wanted stronger motor force they would put it inside
Looks like not much different with the spektor series.
no finger through the dust cap?😂
WHATS INSIDE Dali Zensor 5/7 ????
50w each? Hell no! I give them around 115 each and they play perfectly, and they're not even warm to the touch!
Well if you use a high pass on them and don't turn the amp up all the way.... or only play music that tickles the peaks like jazz.
But with that being.. done.
Hab you blow up "boomer via micro"
costs 4$or6$ /€
TRY THE CERWIN VEGA AMPS
That speaker looks pretty crapy it's nor even a cast frame
Please blow some Aiwa speakers
hitmark at 3:39
well I'm the 69th comment
junk ass speakers tiny magnets
Tiny magnets? Where?
first
test The speaker excursion
No don't please.
can you try harder to not say (with that being said) all the time as its getting really annoying
I think he is trying to do that, now, with that being said, just keep watching the video
It's a common term originating from Sydney's western suburbs, particularly the bogan section.
Nothing like some shitty, cheap, low efficiency dome tweeter speakers. Lol what a joke
