Hey, everyone! I hope you enjoy this look at how I plan my days. Do you use a daily planner? Do you usually just keep a daily to-do list? I want to know!
I have made me a new travelers notebook that I write my daily stuff, and I have a 3 ring binder that has my monthly stuff which includes, my school stuff, home and vision, gratitude. Sometimes, I still feel overwhelmed. However, I am not giving up. I will find something somewhere that works for me. Thank you for your videos, they really do help. Blessings
I have a small & large travelers that I use daily since really dislike rings. I don’t have a daily to do list but instead plan weekly. I never know what each day is gonna bring so I keep it kinda loose.
Heart Breathings I haven’t used a daily to do but I’m going to start after the boot camp. I think a daily would help me because of my work schedule. I just feel overwhelmed.
I am a week into a Mini Happy Planner. Since January I have been using a Traveler’s Notebook for all things related to reading and book reviewing. As I read dozens of books monthly, the TN gets a ton of use and is huge. It has all of my books, schedule, etc. So, I added the second planner. I am now doing monthly, weekly and daily. Just a week in and I don’t know how I ever lived without it!
I was scrolling and saw this thumbnail and thought: WOW! Only 4 years ago, you were so happy about hitting 15k subscribers on HB. Girl, you've come a long way! 🍒 You ARE in the cherry on top season of your life! Sending lots of love 💖 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵. Take care of yourself and each other 😷.
I've been using the same At A Glance Academic Monthly/Weekly planner for over 20 years (since high school). I'm an absolute creature of habit, and have no interest in changing my stride. But...now I want to decorate it with WASHI TAPE!!!!!
I got your undated HB90 planner for Q1 and I've been loving it. I've even been expanding it with my own pages, like novel planning and author budget. I don't use the daily spreads, instead everyday, I put my daily stuff into the weekly.
Thank you for this walkthrough of your weekly and daily processes! This video is a great complement to your HB90 BootCamp. So many planning epiphanies! I would love to see a video of how you take care of unexpected tasks, where you write them down in your system and how you decide if/when to do them. 💕 for your baby kicks! You’re awesome, Sarra!
Awww, baby kicked! I’m glad you mentioned that, because I used to use a calendar for little moments I really wanted to remember on top of appointments and birthdays. People wonder why I have stacks of old calendars - this is why!
Just downloaded Q2. Very excited to try this out. I already plan similarly to you, but in a bullet journal. Excited to try your dated pages. Thank you!!
I really admire you’re organization skills, and even more than that your knowledge of exactly what needs to be done to accomplish your goals. I still feel kind of in the dark regarding that last area...
I'm only 2 minutes in and I'm loving every word you are saying!! I would LOVE this same system. The detailed daily with the overviews is amazing. Reminds me so much of my bujo and I miss that part of it so much. This video helps me realize I can make my planner my own just like my bujo. Just gotta add all the stuff I love
I'm really glad you were able to go over this. I know making videos and editing takes SOOO much time, I appreciate all the work behind the scenes as well. Your a love, take care! ~*Shana
I have been seeing that the most productive people plan to the tea. I've watched your board video as well. I just purchased a new course for my digital print shop and I'm like okay I need to plan everything to a tea because I feel it's so much. I've been procrastinating since I can remember! I know I will get a good system down soon. Thank you for this video
I've been a procrastinator all my life! It's frustrating because we can be our own worst enemies! Having a clear idea of where I want to go in my life and having clear steps to take to get there is helping though!
I've been using a Hobonichi Cousin for my time log and daily journal/morning page, but I'm finding it a chore to switch between that and my weekly HB90, so in Q2 I'm going to bite the bullet and print a full HB90 with daily pages - which makes this video excellent timing!
Really love your planner layout but also love love LOVE my hobos (use all three versions)... and thank you for saying that you're replotting since you've hit a wall with your writing! When I hit the wall, I generally stopped writing for weeks at a time but have learned to write from another character's POV or maybe skip the point I was trying to write and write about something else that might happen in the book and try to figure out later how that might all fit in the story... (hope that makes sense.)
Hey Sarra, since I've subscribed to your channel, I am getting all your videos from previous years, absolutely love it. Don't know if you still get notifications on all these comments. I just wanted to let you know I cannot wait to go on your boot camp for the HB90 system, our brains process similarly and right now I am doing exactly what you were doing years back.
I like to use a monthly and a daily. I try to to use a weekly but I tend to forget. I also like to include a bit of journaling in my daily so that I can look back and see what I did that day😁
I'm using a planner my neighbor gave me right now, and trying to figure what style planner I want to get (my planner ends in June I think). I know I want rings so I can add and move pages. I don't want it to be super narrow. I like the width of this one and the cover with a clasp. I also want it to look professional, like this one does.
Hey, Sara :-) We met at NINC, and I ended up purchasing your HB90 planner, which I LOVE. I'm curious, though, how do you handle needing to pivot in the middle of a quarter? Like if you find something that you absolutely need to change or something that comes up that wasn't in the plans.
Those are tabs from the digital dash box monthly subscription from Planner press!! She gives the design and I print andcut them out and then laminate it so that it becomes a page I can punch. Pretty cool but a bit time consuming, haha.
Hi Canyon, I had the same question when I first joined the bootcamp, as I myself am not a writer. The first quarter, I used HB90 for designing, planning, and partially implementing home projects. The second quarter, I used it to continue on my home projects, focus on health, and plan my travels for 2019. I had accomplished so much more than what I've mentioned here because the system frees you up for other things you'd like/want to do on top of your stated priorities. I also like that you can pick and choose the components that work well with your style and personality, and do away with what doesn't. For example, I learned about the Kanban board but I'm not using it as it's not my thing. Just thought to share from an alumni POV. Hope this helps. 😁
@@pinkskiestoday Hi! Thank you for the information regarding the Bootcamp. It really did help hearing your POV. I think I'm definitely going to enroll in the bootcamp. Thanks for your help!
I had a hard time figuring out your name. I knew it was Sarra because you said that at the beginning of your video, but I wasn't sure who you were until you said something about Sarra Cannon. I had to look you up online. I haven't been to a bookstore in a while. There is a Sarah Cannon cancer project so it took a minute to find you and verify that you are a successful writer and that I should listen to you. I hope you don't mind my suggesting that you mention your full name at the beginning of your videos so people can verify your qualifications for giving us advice. I also think people such as myself might be willing to read one or two of your books! LOL! Martha
Not annoying at all!!! I do still use this system for my plots! The HB90 is just what I use for my actual schedule and goals, but the Happy Planner is still my system for all my plots!
@@HeartBreathings Awesome! Thank you so much for replying. It's just I have the Happy Planner as well, and it's working really well for me too, so I was thinking it would be awesome if you could probably do more "tutorials" or information about it when it came to plotting because it certainly helps!! I love your channel; I visit it every day for advice, and I never feel like you act like you know more than the rest of us. You're a writer like us trying to help us achieve our hopes and dreams just like you! :D
Do you use this planner for everything in your life or mainly just your writing life? thanks It is almost April and I still havent figured out my planning system lol

You are so organized! I know you don't show alot of your crafting side of things (maybe you have and I missed it) but I would love to see how you actually purchase (or make), resize and cut your stickers. Or a link. I don't have a cutter/printer thingy, but I'm interested. I have been researching like crazy because I want/need to use a planned for the goal of productivity. I'm not as busy as you but I'm done twirling on the sit-n-spin. Waste of productivity.

Nice planner. I am using a passion planner at the moment, which I love, but I do miss having a daily page vs a weekly.

Could you please explain on your weekly when you use a sticker box and when do you create the box? Do you visually prioritize by the boxes?
I love the stickers, where did you get them? I didn’t see the link on the description
Do you archive your completed quarters? If so how, where ... how long do you keep etc
I don't, actually. I recycle everything when the quarter is done.

Which stickers from the Planner Shack are you using? Also, where do you get your sticker paper?
