We're in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos and talking about costs. The Turks and Caicos islands are very expensive. It would be difficult to come here on a very strict budget so in this video we're talking about how expensive are the Turks and Caicos islands.
We start off talking about accommodations and take you on a tour of our AirBNB rental which happened to be very affordable for the island. It was in the Turtle Cove area and included access to a pool.
Rent the apartment here: vrbo.tp.st/Z57Ij90m
Later we head out in our rental car to Turks Kebab for lunch and later to Grace Bay Beach.
Throughout the course of the video we discuss the costs of rental cars, taxis, restaurants and drinks (including happy hour, beer, wine and cocktails).
We also discuss the costs of beach chair rentals and groceries.
Be prepared to spend some money if you're coming to Turks and Caicos!

Easy cheesy rental just outside of airport. We rented for 9-10 days for 350$. Not bad at all.
Booking our trip to TCI for spring. This code for CaliCase is not accepted on their website today.
My husband and I have traveled EVERYWHERE ! And nothing is like the water in Turk and Caicos. I enjoy how beautiful and quiet the island is compared to others . We have gone 3 time in the last 3 yrs and can’t wait I go back . Have gone to Costa Rica Puerto Rico and might head to saint Lucia but still yearning for T&c beaches . Enjoy you trip
Sounds like quite the adventure 😀
As budget travelers we really appreciate the tips to save money. Great video guys.
We're so glad you guys find it helpful 😀 - Trevor
Hello from Nova Scotia! I look forward to your weekly videos, it’s nice to see you visit destinations I’ve already been to, including T&C, and also places I want to visit. Safe travels!
Hello NS! We appreciate you following along on the adventure 🤗 - Anna
Great share. I’ve always wanted to go to Turks and Caicos, so really appreciate the honesty about costs for all services and food. Guess I might be waiting till I win that Lottery LOL, again appreciate your time. Thanks much.
I appreciate this video thank you!
It’s important to mention the reason why prices are higher is because 90+ percent of everything on Turks and Caicos is imported from the U.S.

Great video as always. I’m with all your followers on this one, I’d love to see it once but the DR is special. I need mangu and fried cheese in the morning! 🤤🤣 hope the trip back home is good. Safe travels you two 🤘🏼
100% agree Matty 🤗 - Anna
Another fantastic video folks! Greetings from River Bourgeois, CB!!!
Beautiful day here in CB isn't it?! 😉 - Anna
Was just there a month ago. Best beaches for sure. Great people, great food. Expensive for sure but we loved it.
It's kind of funny that at one point there were talks about Turks & Caicos becoming part of Canada. It wouldn't hurt to have one piece of land which is not a freezer.
We stayed on Provo 3 years ago and are going back in November. We try to save some money like you and we stay at an Air B&B and cook some meals. One thing we did was went to the Fish Market in 5 Cays and bought fresh fish. I paid $60 for two Snapper Filets. I thought that was a lot but they were so huge they fed the four of us 2 meals and then some. SO GOOD. Also, you can buy beer and rum much cheaper at the Brewery especially compared to the grocery store or going out for it.
You guys should consider visiting Bonaire. Incredible, friendly people and a unique Caribbean vibe you won’t get anywhere else.
Well worth a visit for a few days! Visited on a cruise and loved the beach.
Thanks again for sharing your adventures :) cheers!
🤗
You ve done a great job great tips and suggestions!
Woow hotel prices way out of my range that’s crazy! As a European hotel prices overall are just ridiculous in all or most of Northern America and Caribbean and having to already pay for a long costly flight it does effect my choices unfortunately.
most expensive countries here such as Scandinavia, Iceland, Switzerland, France UK and Italy are no way near these prices or at least plenty of much lower cost options even during high season and of very good standard.
I would love to go to some of these places esp Hawaii but as the British Pound/Euros have both diminished massively lately it’s a NoGo for us!
Also the reason why Mexico has gained in popularity as you do not need to worry on holidays about food cost and everything else , you can enjoy yourself buy things here and there and be by magnificent setting , divine beaches, great cultural/ historical sites, delicious food, exciting adventures great hotels at a fraction of the cost!
I still would love to visit but at this stage I’m playing weekly “Euromillions” 🤭😜🙏🏼
I still will quite happily keep watching travel vlogs all over and choose accordingly! Very informative and enjoyable nonetheless so thank you 🙏🏼 to both
Enjoy yourselves
Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧
-Somewhere- was one of my favs places for eat and drink when we were there. Laid back and a quick nice snorkel area…
When you talk about great happy hour -our Best Buy was when we were at laundromat and kicked back and bought a cold beer while waiting. Cheapest drink on island.
Thank you so much for your time and effort in making this video. Looking to make this trip in perhaps May or June of 2024.
Glad it was helpful Bob! - Anna
We rented an airbnb about quarter mile from the beach. It had a pool and it was awesome. Quick bike ride to the beach. Very economical
Honestly, you guys are great - I live for your outros 😁
🥰
I just stayed in T&C on Grand Turk at the Grand Turk Inne for $150 a night. Staff were awesome and the breakfast was delicious. They also serve great drinks and food at the bar there. I highly recommend this place and the beaches are awesome.
I went to T&C in Sept of 2020 when it was still covid times and stayed for 3 months in an AirBB studio for $1500 month! Rented a car for $400 and had the entire Grace bay beach to myself! by november the tourists started to return as well as the prices doubled...so I left for Puerto Rico and got another great deal for the winter. The lack of travelers made less demand and way lower prices lol
We travel to TCI on a regular basis, absolutely breathtaking scenery and water! With respect to groceries, I have visited the US 2 weeks ago and the grocery cost was incredibly high… coming back home to Canada, groceries seem like a bargain!
Stayed at Ocean Club in 2019, off season (late May), and our cost for a junior suite there was nowhere near the $500-$1000 you mention. I believe the price was only $200-something or less per night and included kitchen, laundry. The beach chairs were all provided by Ocean Club as well. You didn't mention the Thursday Fish Fry, which was pretty cheap eats plus music and vendors. True, food prices at restaurants are high but you can find some local places as well. Was also hoping to see if you visited Potcake Place and walked a puppy. Safe travels!
Woah, that's a lot more than we're used to paying 😱 can't believe they'd charge $75 for a couple of seats and a beach umbrella. That's more than we pay a day for everything in many countries. Good thing your Airbnb provided that stuff!
haha I know it's wild. We still can't quite get over it - Anna
Thanks for the ‘head’s up’ on the costs
🤗
Yep, T&C is very expensive! My family and I (family of 3)spent almost $6000 for 3 days, this included the flight and food. Which is all worth it! We can’t wait to go back early next year again.
Great video. It is kind if high on prices but maybe worth the money
$500-$1,000 a night?!?! Wow! However I love your Airbnb!! It all looks beautiful, but I think we are more of the DR budget! 😂. Great video guys! ~Cara 😊
haha we're much more on the DR budget as well - Trevor
Turks looks so beautiful! Cayman is very similar! 🌊🏝🏖
good video on the pricing and stuff love it resprect fellow canadiens from Montreal canada
Thanks David 👍
Thanks!
Wow Megan thank you so much for the Super Thanks! We so appreciate it 🤗 - Trevor
@@DelightfulTravellers you’re welcome! Hope it can buy you guys at least a Happy Hour drink lol
Beautiful!! The best price I could find though was in February at just over $440 Canadian per night. You 2 got pretty lucky, I’d say!!
Beautiful place but expensive. I guess the import costs are high. Like your studio very nice. Nice video. Thanks and take care.
Hello!
We just returned from Providenciales on July 7th. We spent 8 nights at Ocean Club West, a moderate condo resort. We paid about $450.00 for a one bedroom. Expensive yes, but we feel you get a lot for your money there.
We always pack an extra suitcase with provisions to save money. My husband laughs at me, but I think he’s secretly glad. 😁
We also pack a cooler for the beach and buy the local beer and rum for drinks. You can save lot’s of $$ that way. We didn’t rent a car as OCW is close to the store and many restaurants and it has a free shuttle to it’s sister resort, Ocean Club East, where they have two restaurants on site. We just love TCI! We come from CA so it’s quite a long haul but so worth it. Cheers to you and your great videos!!
Sounds like you had a great time there Tricia. Thanks for watching our video - Trevor
Hi Tricia! We're going to be going in a few months, and I have been researching. We were planning on staying at Ocean club east. How were the accommodations? We were also debating on rental car versus taxis. What's your experience with those? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. P.s. we're coming from Cali as well
@@shannalamont4463 Hi Shannon!
OCE is a very nice property, not five star but the accommodations are very comfortable. We really love the screened in patios. Ask for a renovated unit. The Cabana club restaurant restaurant is very good. You will find the service is slow but with a rum punch in your hand, it’s all good.😀
They also have a pricier restaurant Opus which is located at the rear of the resort. We really loved it. On Wednesday night they have entertainment.
They share a free shuttle with Ocean Club West which is within walking distance to the grocery store and many restaurants. You can also use OCW towels and loungers.
We have always rented a car while staying at OCE. If you want to take a taxi up there on your first day that’s always good but if not, Grace Bay Car Rental is the best. You can walk out and your car will be up a little hill ready to go. You can also have them deliver a car to you at OCE.
Tips: Bring mosquito spray with Deet.
Bring hats and lot’s of sunscreen.
I would suggest not drinking the water, it can give you tummy trouble.
You can make your own drinks for the beach. We bring a cooler with beer and drinks.
The beach at OCE is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. If you walk to the right up the beach you will experience one of the most wonderful walks of your life. Be sure to go around the bend.
Have a wonderful time!
I can say that as an American unless you have T-Mobile which has international text and data roaming (no calling) included in your regular plan, it's about $10 - $15 per day to use your service on other providers. While I was there, I just used WiFi for calling and texting. If you're traveling with other people, it's still expensive but more doable when splitting. I did my trip solo and the cheapest part was the airfare for under $400 from my home area. Accommodations? HA HA HA! I stayed at Airbnb for 5 days on Grand Turk and it was about $1300. My one night in Provo in Grace Bay was about $3-something (cheaper the second night though). Totally agree about the car too! I was on Grand Turk for most of my trip and my Airbnb actually gave me rides and got me a bike, so I was covered. I was in Provo for one day before heading home (2 as my flight got canceled leaving) and the 2 taxi rides (from and to the airport) were about $65. If you're in Provo for 24 hours, you could do either taxi or rent, but if you're there for several days, highly agree to rent a car!
Good video. Very informative and helpful for common people who can’t afford 1000 a night.
Thank you
Love the video! TCI is my favourite place on earth - have been going every year for the last 14 years. Sadly, won't be able to go this year! By the way, "Somewhere" is one of our favourite restaurants. Also, Coyaba, Coco Bistro, Opus, Caicos Cafe....to name a few! Now I feel sad, but loved the video!
Thanks for watching!
I have heard T&C is very expensive. But wow $500-$1000 a night??? That is certainly eye opening. Your Air B&B was a great find. Plus having a kitchen is hopefully a big help on food cost
My friend and I have rented a vrbo (full house) with pool, 2br 2ba for $325/night. 10min or 2 min drive to grace bay.
Very pricey plus added air fare. Beach is fantastic, however. Still on my bucket list. Thanks for taking us along.😎
It's definitely up there as being one of those most expensive islands in the Caribbean - Trevor
We love *Turks and Caicos* !! Hope we can vaca there someday 😎⛱️🌞
You'd luv it here! It's so beautiful - Anna
That is a very informative video. A bit out of my price, but very pretty. Full of envy right now because you are warm and over here in Oz, we are very cold and wet. Stay safe, and enjoy.
Thanks duffy! Hope you stay warm over there 😀 - Trevor
The DR and here in the turks and Caicos Islands is very different because the currency is a big difference 1US is like 150 peso and all our products have to be shipped here where DR grows most of there owns foods
Thank you Anna & Trevor for the heads up. I'll take the north coast of the DR anytime over that Island. I went to Ibero Star resort all inclusive on the north coast for only 100$ US a night, For 5 nights. You can't beat that price anywhere in the Caribbean.
You can't beat the DR prices that's for sure. That said we really like it here in T&C as well 😀 - Trevor
You can beat that price. In Puerto Plata at Lifestyle resort is $61 a night, all inclusive for 2 people. And the amenities are amazing. (The deal is on Grupon. I met people at the resort that go for year's with this deal)
Book ahead and pay the cost if you ask me. I stayed at the Turks and Caicos boutique all inclusive and it was sooo amazing 🥰 my Wife and I also had dinner on the beach all alone during the sunset which was out of this world 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Wow, I can go on a cruise for those prices! This is great information for us Canadians who's dollar doesn't go nearly as far as USD.
Glad you found it helpful Darryl 🤗 - Anna
Mornin travel team! I now believe T and C has changed a lot since I was there in 2008...Wow, Im having sticker shock, but such is the way of life and the world....Back in the day, T and C had its very exclusive element but it was possible to live and explore relatively cheaply....Enjoy regardless, travel safe!
Sticker shock for sure. It's like Manhattan prices in the Carib - Anna
Lots of gorgeous beaches similar to T&C at much cheaper prices i.e. at Huatulco, Mexico at luxury beach resort gourmet meals were at McDonald's USA prices.
Great video uys!! I imagine the prices for your ARBNB and car rentals are in US dollars. We are used to Mexico, DR and Cuba so this island is very pricey. Safe travels.
So true LR - Trevor
Great video. Haha noticed the “ Santo Domingo” coffee….I always bring back home with me after Dominican( but have found it up here in Canada to buy..but double price😆)
haha we bring that coffee everywhere with us - Anna
I found it on Amazon
Queen Angel. I stayed there a few times and it is close to my favourite bars/restaurants, The SharkBite and Baci’s , also Mango Reef ( excellent).
That's the spot! We like how close it is to those restaurants as well - Anna
Great video! This came up bc I have been researching T&C. I want to go but my trip to Thailand cost significantly less for a longer trip. Just don’t know if it’s worth it. Also what is the deal with the $300-500 service fee added on for all the hotels.
buying local rum is cheap. if you transfer in Miami but your booze or beer there. Turks kabob is great. Las Brisas has a wonderful huge burger. the ocean outback tour was great too.
Thanks for watching 🤗
I love it here
Another great video guys. Quick note, we don't get cruise ships here on Providenciales. The ships come into our only cruise port, on the island of Grand Turk. Also, another way to offset costs is to pack some items ( tuna, peanut butter, meat and cheese) and declare them when you arrive at the airport. I do it all the time, freeze the meat and cheese and travels well in from Toronto ( direct flight - 3 hours) Cheers
Great tips Nelly!
I read in a guide book that you can bring in a cooler of perishables as long as they are frozen and vacuum sealed. Can anyone confirm?
@@tpaeglow8924 yup, I do it all the time. Just declare. You will line up
In a separate line for food declarations after you’ve passed customs.
great video Thanks. i plan to go next winter. i know its more expensive but i could never compare it to the Dominican Rep or Mexico. these are 2 places i don't like. so i don't mind paying more.
Most comprehensive video I've seen so far, thank you. How much was the deposit for the rental car?
Thanks! I don't think we paid one. We just walked in and rented a car ha
@@DelightfulTravellers That's great. Do you recall the name of the place by any chance? I'm going in a few weeks and just don't want to get bamboozled with fake fees at a rental car place like I typically do outside of the country, lol! Thanks for the reply!
@@j.1684 it was Scooter Bob’s. They were great to deal with and super helpful!
@@DelightfulTravellers Awesome. Thank you!!
I would think they pay and benefits are much better than the DR or Mexico ? Also, smaller islands and lower population Caribbean islands typically cost more as well.
For those prices they're going to lose alot of revenue because the average traveler isn't going to pay that ($500-1000/night) when they can go elsewhere and get a similar experience. 🤷♀️
You can eat cheap at GraceWay Markets , Mr Grouper is reasonable,as is Bacci ( great pizza) dont miss bugaloos for a CONCH BURGER!,,,,
Wow. Im glad I have only visited Grand Turk on a cruise! That is SOOO expensive and any other Caribbean island also has awesome beaches.
Hi guys thanks for the videos, what is the name of the studio apartment you were in?
Thank you!
The link for the apartment is in the video description 😊 - Anna
Recently visited Turks & Caicos and stayed at a resort which was all-inclusive but was very very expensive. However, it was worth it because the island is beautiful and beaches are amazing. I definitely suggest you bring cash with you outside the costs for your stay because it is costly. Peak season times like June, July and August can cost you more to stay on the island. Turks & Caicos 🇹🇨 is a beautiful place to visit! I will definitely be back 🤗
I'm planning a vacation in late February early March 2023 to celebrate my retirement I'm just wondering at the all inclusive resort what would a 7 day stay run a person?
@@shawnburke1185 what a great way to celebrate your retirement! Congratulations 🎊🍾 I would not want to misquote any prices, so I would suggest that you contact a representative to get an estimate so that you can plan ahead. Enjoy your time!!
@@jaquette1567 Ok thanks for your reply.
June, July, August is NOT their busy season. Their busy season is November - April. I've been there many times. Family has an oceanfront condo there.
@@shawnburke1185I'm going to be there at the same time. We are staying at the Grace Bay Club.

Good
I tried to give you 2 thumbs up, since you need to be a Rockefeller to visit there. 🤣🤣🤣
Love the turks! Paradise
hi Ian from India my bro works in the turks and caicos

Turks and Caicos Islands turquoise waters and white sand beaches with over forty islands and cays considered Caribbean's best kept secret.
Are there any all inclusive hotels ? Any mountains 🏔? Any Rivers…
Hola . Where did you Rent the Car?
I heard about expensive it’s supposed to be, and to be honest didn’t find it too bad. We’re used to going to the Florida keys and found T&C to be similarly priced.
Wooow.. it is so nice .. visit Sri Lanka too❤️
Is it easy to find jobs and how is it for Meds I'm a type one diabeteic on the insulin pump would u know if they have an programs for pump down there like they here Canada, I know me and my husband would love to move there

I wonder if you guys are in expensive part of resort of T&C
Hello guys hope you have a N&E travel to YHZ...question... were you using a different camera for this video... the color looks more vibrant.. or was the sun in the island? 🤔sending ❤️ 💕
Same camera as always :)
@@DelightfulTravellers omg... loved it.
Come back to DR.
$20 USD for ice cream or anything else at Fish Fry now.
Beer prices- if I remember like 75$ for case of Corona beer-
I am guessing T&C still a bit slow on tourism…?
❤😊❤😊
Carribean islands so overrated. There are many places with some of the most beautiful beaches can beat the islands of carribean. If you want a beautiful island of carribean with low cost. Visit Varadero Cuba. You can find better beaches than T and C. Check out Zanzibar in the indian ocean. Try to convince Jumping Places re visit the Philippines and explore Calaguas which is beautiful and very cheap. If you want more beautiful than this then visit Linapacan or Balabac in Palawan.
If I fly all the way to the Caribbean I don't want the sound of the waves and the breeze in the trees drowned out my music banging away. Why do they do that?
Shut the front door - $10,000 a week at a hotel?! The suites must have names such as ‘Gold Leaf’ and ‘Heart of the Ocean’ 😂. Although T&C is a g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s island and the food looks mouth watering 🤤.
Maybe we can all go splits Colleen 😉 - Anna
Beaches there are Beautiful, but my question is that worth the crazy and high prices? Uuuuuuhhh I'm not sure.
Have fun, and remember safe $$$$ for others Destinations

I found the T&C to be extremely boring and like u said expensive
enjoy and good luck 😎
Thats even much more expensive than Switzerland 😜
Definitely haha
I have heard T&C is very expensive. But wow $500-$1000 a night???
Those prices are insane. I'd like to go there, but I can't justify those prices. Much better options in Mexico.
Where did you stay? Which Airbnb? I couldn’t find it in the comments.
