- Welcome to Turks and Caicos Islands! In this video we're visiting Turks and Caicos for the first time and giving you our very first impressions! If you're wondering what to expect while visiting Turks and Caicos this video is for you.
We're in Providenciales (Provo) and exploring the island for the first time.
We start off by visiting Grace Bay Beach for the first time. This beach is often rated as one of the best beaches in the world and now we can see why. The sand is perfectly white and the water is calm and crystal clear.
While at the beach we talk about things that surprised us, one is driving on the left hand side of the road in the right side of the car.
Also, bring your USD with you, we had a difficult time finding an ATM that worked.
After the beach we headed to Bay Bistro for Sunday brunch where we had Bloody Caesar's and egg's Benedict.
After brunch we walked up the beach to find somewhere with beach chairs. We ended up at Ama Beach Equipment Rentals where we paid $40 for chairs and an umbrella.
Lastly, later in the evening we went to Turtle Bay Marina to a restaurant called Sharkbite to have a happy hour beer.

Providenciales was the perfect relaxing family vacation! I’m glad that you enjoyed your visit. Our family was there in May and we stayed in an amazing house on Chalk Sound. Provo was pricey but I’d definitely return.
All I can say is…Wow!! Those beaches and the color of the water are stunning. I appreciate how you share information right off about the airport, taxis and about getting money. When travelling that type of information is so helpful.

My family was on the island of Grand Turk 2 weeks ago. It is one of my favorites islands in the Caribbean. Been there many times over the years. One benefit of a cruise vacation 😎

Just came back from there last month and let me tell you, I was not ready to come back home! Turks and Caicos has the most beautiful beaches ever, I mean that water was so gorgeous, never seen anything like it in my life. I keep looking at my Screensaver wallpaper that is on phone which is one of many pictures I took of Grace Bay. I see why it's the number one beach in the world!

My hubby and I were in T&C the end of February and stayed at the Club Med. BEST trip yet! We had to drag ourselves out of the water every day. What a BEAUTIFUL place. We will be returning. 🙂

Hello guys.. the path to Providenciales beach the grass and the little bridge is pretty similar to the beaches in Milford CT.. but the sand and water is 😍 waayyy more beautiful...enjoy .

Guys there are choice hotels in grace bay for under 100 per night as well which are similar to a comfort suites.
May I know wet is that hotels that is less than 100 thanks

Great video guys. We were there 10 years ago and the T&C prices are in-sane. But so are the beaches! I'd love to go back sometime and splash in those stunning waters. We did a brilliant photography shoot when we were there that also included an island tour! So much fun and amazing memories!

I was there in 1998 and stayed for more than a year. I Lived and worked most of this time on Grand Turk. Best time of my life, for sure! Greetings from the North of Germany.

One of my fav islands to hit the beach. Been there 3 times. Island is expensive but very relaxing.

I stay at the Sibonne Beach Hotel every time I visit Turks and Caicos. Grace Bay was one of the first beaches in the Caribbean I ever visited and I have yet to find one that’s better.
Being from Nova Scotia as well we went to Turks in 2018 and absolutely loved it

As an avid fisherman, I travelled to the T & C about 35 years ago. I visited all of the islands including Grand Turk and nearby Parrot Key. Some of the best fishing in the world and exceptionally nice locals. It wasn't nearly as expensive but it was more laid back.

I just came back from Turks a few day’s ago ❤️We also ate dinner at bay bistro , if you guys want beautiful beaches like this you should try the out islands of the Bahamas like Cat island , Exuma , Long Island ,Abacos and much more.👍

Absolutely beautiful. You should visit Anguilla BWI ... it's equally as beautiful.
My husband and I visited Grand Turk & Provo about 25 years ago. We enjoyed Provo, but loved Grand Turk, it kind of felt like home - Key West in the early 70's (like a friendly small town). Provo had started their tourist redevelopment. Everyone was excited about the KFC that was getting ready to open. But we could already see the price difference between the two islands back then. We wished we could have purchased a home or lot in Grand Turk back then, but it was not possible. But recently we purchased in the DR across the street from Playa Sosua and we could not be happier. We love watching your adventures. I hope you make it to Grand Turk.

Really don't want to post our address on the internet, but it you know the area and you walk up the center beach stairs from the beach to highway 5... across the street to the left toward Playero but turn right immediately like you are going to Hotel Sunset Sosua. We are right there. We could not be happier with our location. If you are looking to go back, we would love to host you for a few days in the DR, if our home is available.
Yay a brand new place! And really brand new to me, as I have never been there, and none of the other travel couples on RUclips that I follow (some of which are your friends) haven't vlogged there either. So I am curious! So far looks gorgeous, but mainly a place for the wealthy. Is English the primary language there? Looking forward to the next vlog!

My favorite place in the world. My friends and I go the 1st week of Dec every year. Go to Taylor Bay. And visit the pups at Potcake Place.

I just got back from Grand Turk and Provo on the 5th and I can say that I would absolutely do it again! Is it expensive? Heck yes, so if you're looking to be cheap then pick somewhere else. But if you want a relaxing getaway and enjoy scuba diving, this is the place. The water is so pretty too!

Ha, we just got back from staying on Grace Bay and probably saw you filming on the beach. Should have walked down to see who it was with the drone on the beach. It was our first time, my brothers 13th time so we had a great tour guide. Hands down the boat tour was the very best activity. Caicos dream tours was excellent. Can’t recommend enough paying for the private boat.

From one Canuck to two others... Glad you're enjoying our little piece of coral! I think you'll find that if you patronize a resort/restaurant, you'll not be bothered if you also enjoy some time on their beach chairs.. There are some exceptions but unless the chairs are packed full already - most places are pretty cool about it. Not to take $$ away from our Guy on da Beach, but just sayin...
From experience the blinkers on Japanese cars have been on the right. I'm in the UK and my VW has them on the left so it might be make specific.

You should come to Destin, Florida! Our beaches and water look just like this and it’s called the Emerald coast for that reason❤️

Hi! Love your videos. I’m Canadian And curious how you were able to stay in the Dominican for eight months. I thought there was a six month limit in order to keep your Canadian healthcare active? Would love to hear a bit on that if you could provide some info as we are hoping to travel for extended periods of time but I always thought we could only be out of the country for six months out of the year

So Turks is our go to place. When we were there last November you guys were on the Turks Head Brewery TV! They had your RUclips videos playing at the bar. I had just started following you because we were headed to the DR for a destination wedding and wanted to see what you thought of the place. In my opinion DR does not hold a candle to Turks. Excited to find out what you think of Turks.
Oh no way!? What videos were they playing? We luv it here in Turks but definitely prefer the DR by leaps and bounds. Especially the North coast 😀 - Trevor

I just booked a trip here! I’m a little worried since I don’t have a license and therefore can’t rent a car, but hopefully I can survive on just taxis!
Looks like an amazing place but those prices sound exorbitant for a Caribbean island! But sometimes the price is worth it so maybe in a future video you can touch on why T&C stands out from the "Caribbean crowd" and is able to operate on a different economic level. Maybe the services and the infrastructure are better? Maybe crime rates are much lower or it's a more prosperous island? Inquiring minds want to know! 😎 Enjoy your stay.
We'll touch on that for sure but in short... it's basically like the USA on an island. Sort of like Florida for example but on an actual island. Pros and cons to that as you can imagine - Trevor
Love your videos and use them as research for my own travels. As a Canadian I have a question about being out of Canada for such a long time. When I backpacked around the World I had to get permission from the Government to keep my OHIP because I was out of the Country for 2 years. I was granted a once only permission. How do you guys do it as we can only be out of Canada for a total of 7 months and keep OHIP? Thanks ❤️fellow 🧳 traveller
Good question. First we work and travel and there's exceptions when it comes to that when you do what we do. If you need to travel for work it's a little different. I know it seems like a constant vacation but we travel and film and in turn make money doing so. Nova Scotia rules may be different than other provinces but they all are very similar 😀 - Trevor
Our opinion is overall the Turks have the best beaches in the Caribbean, but because its small in size, its expensive, even though it lacks the development of other islands by foreigners!
BTW, I'm the same way when we're there, I'm in the water all day long!
BWI is really expensive as are the southern islands Curacao and Aruba.
Lesser expensive is Grenada (Grand Anse Beach our favorite) and Barbados( have lots more people, but offer a lot of options for housing and food, along with
lots of fun things to do away from beach, here Browne's beach is our favorite)
What we've found over decades of travel in the Caribbean is rich Americans, Britts, Canadians, and Dutch have really bought into certain islands, developed them, and raised the prices on everything for the locals, and travelers! Seeing the same in Grand Cayman also!

Yep,as a TCI native it sucks for most of us.Cost of living is extremely high and most of us have to live paycheck to paycheck or work multiple jobs,and we don't really have the luxury to enjoy our own island.If it wasn't for gratuity in these Hotels for the employees there would be rioting because how ridiculously low the wages are.Inflation has made matters even worse, everything has gone up but your pay remains the same.somebody make sense of this for me and the people.
I went to Turks and Caicos last year, it was so beautiful I would have loved to go back this year but it's a bit pricey, so I'll be going to the Dominican Republic instead.

Great video however Turks and Caicos is very expensive, there are so many islands in the Caribbean that are just as nice!!
Just checked the the flights from Calgary to TC. In September was over $2000.00 plus long layover and hotels are way out of our league.
For 2 people with flight ,hotel layover,plus 7 day stay $ 10 000 grand. I pass.

10k for 2 ppl for TC is cheap...try 30 k for 2 from Toronto to Wymara TC...

The only water that I have seen more beautiful was in the cook islands, specifically aitutaki. I go to Turks once a year. It's my go to vacation.

Having to drive on the left hand side? I’d have to be insured up the exhaust pipe to drive a rental car 😂! To be honest, I prefer the more laidback vibe of the DR in comparison BUT I can certainly appreciate the gorgeous turquoise waters and craft beer that T&C has to offer 🏖 🍻.

Uy! looks beautiful but... kinda like living in cap cana, a whole island as a beach resort. Uhmm.. I am looking forward to next episodes about the people and alive towns like las Terrenas in Turks. I know you are secretly business traveling too hahaha. Is there money to be made there? How is it working as a foreigner? Would it be a good idea to move there for a while? I see an opportunity in Fintech, easing up payments and cash withdrawal for visitor and locals. CK

Always wondered about Grace Bay - I don't see crowds of people on the water, even tho it's beautiful. Do people just not really actually go IN the water? Are there stingrays to worry about, etc?
