Yeah so impressive, you can actually know what time it is in the game just by looking at it, i've done the math for how much time it takes to do a whole day in TDUSC. From 0:00 to 23:59 in the game it takes 96 minutes IRL. GTA V for example is 48 minutes
@@supergamer1122 I just checked in TDU2 the same mustang and clock doesn't work and even if it did it would be hard to read it since there's literally no numbers, only the arms for the hour and minutes lol
People out here nitpicking on the game which is just a demo, no one seems to notice the attention to detail, sound and sense of speed that make this so nice to watch and stand out among TC and FH Btw, people are still watching your TDU 2 car wreck vids to this day :D
It is because calculating actual reflections in your game engine is computationally expensive (see ray traced reflections) Instead, they use a pre-made reflection map. It's cheap to render, and hopefully people aren't going to notice it that much. It has been the go-to method for decades now.
@@marcellracz8113 Rather early 2000s. Heck, even Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 had dynamicaly calculated cubemaps. Game with this performance on 4090 should have full path tracing - look at CP2077 for example.
@@marcellracz8113 Well. pre-made maps were rather in early 2000s. Even NFSHP2 from 2002 had dynamically updated cubemap based on current environment. Considering TDU-SC performance on beasts like 4090, there should be full path-tracing implemented, not ancient, static, pre-made maps. Ugh.
@@Szydelski Yeah, well at least it should be an option. I know some people just don't care or notice, but to me (and you since you brought it up) it just looks wrong. Devs should definitely look at Cyberpunk 2077 as a benchmark.
Very restrictive turning radius for the wheel inside the car visually - looks horrible! Forza had this but the latest game somewhat fixed it - massive improvement but GT7 still wins here
Can buttons be mapped? I'd be annoyed driving with a wheel and having to cycle through that button wheel for turn signals and whatnot. I'd be on my Mclaren GT3 V2 wheel, so I'd think using LSB for left turn signal, and RSB for the right turn signal, maybe the left red toggle switch up and down for the left window, and the right red toggle switch up and down for the right window. Just a neat idea if this wheel can be mapped like that for this game.
The way the tail lights turn on seems weird, can anyone confirm if it's correct? I'm used to seeing all 6 stripes turn on in real cars, and the blinker causes the whole 3 to blink regardless of the brakes being pressed.
It did not. Although the model in game is a 68. The game still labels it as a 67 for some reason. The 67 never had that style steering wheel, fuel cap style or side indicators 😢
Simcade, easy to get the hang of it, hard to master. All cars are different and have their own benefits and disadvantages. Definetly not more arcade than Horizon, more like the contrary
Cars feel weighty and it feels like a sim version of an arcade game if that makes any sense. Videos made me sceptical of the physics but after playing the demo, I can see the feel they were going for. I would say rwd cars felt a little loose but it could be the tyre compound which better options were locked but controlling a drift seemed more difficult than it should have been, almost as if the car didn't let me countersteer just enough to stop me from spinning. I think the handling of some cars need some tweaks.
How the fuck would you know?? Lmaooo i actually played the demo and its more realistic then forza and i play on a wheel.. Let me guess you only watched gamplay videos on youtube.. figured@@lukstart8126
I don't like their choice of chasing camera. It is even worse than Forza series. The back of the car is large and the front narrow, give a cone shape to cars, very distracting. The only game having a realistic chasing camera is Gran Turismo.
The environments look great, but the car exterior and interior lighting looks awful and the steering wheel animations are pretty bad too. It's a shame that such a critical part of the game that takes up so much of the players attention came out so poorly.
