Im going in the future, has anyone had any troubles asking for a specific floor as i like the higher floors and the less sunny rooms, just wondering if its possible to ask for this type of rooms and getting them?

It never hurts to try. It’s better to make more general requests like a specific floor, but avoiding sunny rooms will be difficult.
