Yes they do.
Hello sir may I know what your opinion is on doing MSC in cardio from UK prior to foundation year ?Will it help in matching into internal medicine training later on ? I also came across your video on portfolio and CV building did you manage to get your teaching experience , audits and research all during the time of your foundation years?
Aslam alkum drs

Thank you for this video. very informative.
You're welcome!
a very informative video. kindly make a similar video regarding the GP training. what are the steps after plab and after GMC registration to get into GP training program. thankyou once again :)
Glad that you liked it. We are working on it. :)
Killer background..gotta visit that place!
You definitely should!
Would love your opinion on a situation. Am currently in a residency program for internal medicine in Pakistan, have already given my plab1 1 year ago. And ielts. Is it possible to give plab 2 without the courses as I won't be able to get the required days off and don't want to take the risk.
Dream is to specialize in Neuro or pulmonology so what are the prospects for these respective fields.
Thank for your time.
PLAB 2 is nothing but an OSCE exam. A course gives you an idea about how the exam is structured and what things a doctor should know about NHS healthcare structure. So w/o any courses I won't say it's impossible to pass but prove to be difficult.
Have you read this post: roadtouk.com/specialty-training-opportunities
Again, thank you for your videos, keep making them.
You're welcome! Stay tuned for more topics :)

It seems that I don’t really know anything about a process. I finished a medical school in Russia and after that I got married to British citizen and moved to the UK with my husband. I registered on GMC website.
I am preparing now to IELTs and after that I need to take Plab. But what will I need to do next? If I didn’t do an internship in Russia. I thought that I can apply for FY1? Is it right or not?
You are eligible to apply under UKFPO for foundation training, which starts at FY1. For more information related to how you can do this, please see: roadtouk.com/blog/gmc-approved-internship-and-ukfpo/
Road to UK thank you so much for your answer. All these abbreviations are scary 😂
Don't you think that speciality training in UK is too long and take too much Time ?
No.
Video seems to be recorded in kashmir PAK
Nope!
I am doing 1st year resident m.s opthalmology resident in india.. can i practice as opthalmologist in u.k if i clear frcoptha or frcs exam?
Great presentation
Thanks!
Als can be taken from home country?
It needs to be ResusUK certified.
Which can be found where other than the uk?? Is this mandatory in application process?
What's next for someone after successful passing all MRCPCH part's outside UK and obtains GMC full registration?
roadtouk.com/blog/specialty-training-in-paediatrics/
there's no mention of Trauma & Orthopedics specialty? is it not exclusive? does it come under surgery ?
It's under surgery.
What would be route for cardio thoracic surgeon specifically after mbbs
Please see: roadto.uk/vkSk/
I want to ask .. after passing plab 1 Nd 2 we go for fy1 & fy2 and to get in speciality training do we have to pass any kind of exam? Or we are just promoted to specialty training
It depends on the training you wish to enter. Please see: roadto.uk/bG3C
In order to make a portfolio with above mentioned categorise that u discussed.... Do I need to complete those requirements like teaching etc in my native country and then apply or come here... Get into non training post and complete and apply for training post?
Yes it would help the process.
Sir is md by passing plab or by mrcp is good for indians? And how long it will take to complete speciality ? Will we get residency in uk after completing pg in uk?
Please see: ruclips.net/video/OEWSOoTzI6Y/видео.html
Hi Dr Ibrahim
Can you give ne more information on residency in public health and how to enroll.
Please see: www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/career-planning/study-and-training/graduate-training-opportunities/specialty-training-public-health
Thanks for information.. could you please elaborate some more details about MRCS pathway
The pathway to get GMC registration and work in the UK is not different between MRCP and MRCS. Please see: roadtouk.com/blog/plab-vs-mrcp-what-do-you-need-to-know/
Very helpful
Glad you think so!
Sir I wanted to know applying for imt recruitment round 2,are the chances of getting a training job slim when compared to round 1 with a decent port folio
The restrictions on applying for training has now been lifted so that international graduates can apply in round 1.
I am an undergraduate student. I wanna know that extra degree obtained during mbbs should have ist division or division doesnt matter.
Thankx
Doesn't matter
Sir, suppose an IMG finishes M.B.B.S in india and moves to U.K...does his chance of getting a surgery residency same as that of a UK citizen....or is it less
Nationality and PMQ does not matter. All training application has pre-application scoring. If an Indian graduate has achieved all those competencies and CV elements and does well in the interview they have the same chance as an UK grad.
@@RoadToUK thank you for the reply....do you have a video on how to improve our cv and pre round scoring?
Let me know about pathology pathway in uk?
Please see: www.rcpath.org/discover-pathology/careers-in-pathology/train-to-work-in-pathology.html
You are on point really thank u
You're welcome!
Short and swt..so many informations🔥
Glad it was helpful!
thanx for this video! it indeed is very helpful. Could you please let me know If one completes MRCOG & gets GMC registration, for which post can he/she apply for? waiting for guidance.TIA
SHO/registrar posts, but it's better to start out in an SHO post until you feel more confident about the system.
@@RoadToUK Thank you for the advice. Which applying for the SHO/Registrar post do I need to appear for any exams as mentioned in your video. MRSA if I am not mistaken.
After joining fy2 after passing plab .. How many years does it take to build up the cv to apply for specialty training in IM?
We did it within our first year. It's up to you.
@@RoadToUK wow..can u please guide me how to start working for that?
Please see: ruclips.net/video/l_VfZmk102k/видео.html
Thank you so much. Carry on please
You're welcome!
Thank you very informative
Glad to hear that!
if i have a british citizenship do i still need to take ielts? TIA😊
If your medical degree was from a non UK/EEA country and the national language of that country is not English then, yes, unfortunately.
@@RoadToUK thank you😊
also, is fy2 necessary if i've done 1 yr internship in bangladesh?
No, but you'll need your FY2 competencies signed off.
What is passing percentage in plab 2
