I also came across your video on portfolio and CV building did you manage to get your teaching experience , audits and research all during the time of your foundation years?

    Would love your opinion on a situation. Am currently in a residency program for internal medicine in Pakistan, have already given my plab1 1 year ago. And ielts. Is it possible to give plab 2 without the courses as I won't be able to get the required days off and don't want to take the risk.
    Dream is to specialize in Neuro or pulmonology so what are the prospects for these respective fields.
    Thank for your time.

    • @RoadToUK
      @RoadToUK  5 лет назад

      PLAB 2 is nothing but an OSCE exam. A course gives you an idea about how the exam is structured and what things a doctor should know about NHS healthcare structure. So w/o any courses I won't say it's impossible to pass but prove to be difficult.

    It seems that I don’t really know anything about a process. I finished a medical school in Russia and after that I got married to British citizen and moved to the UK with my husband. I registered on GMC website.
    I am preparing now to IELTs and after that I need to take Plab. But what will I need to do next? If I didn’t do an internship in Russia. I thought that I can apply for FY1? Is it right or not?

      You are eligible to apply under UKFPO for foundation training, which starts at FY1. For more information related to how you can do this, please see: roadtouk.com/blog/gmc-approved-internship-and-ukfpo/

    • @RoadToUK
      @RoadToUK  3 года назад

      Nationality and PMQ does not matter. All training application has pre-application scoring. If an Indian graduate has achieved all those competencies and CV elements and does well in the interview they have the same chance as an UK grad.
