      Hi Kartik
You have brought forward a very interesting aspect.
In India, Medicine is a recognised speciality in itself. So anything beyond that is superspeciality.
In the UK, it's higher speciality instead of super.
      Is higher =Super? I don't know:)

Hello, My name is Dr. Vedica Sethi, and I have completed my MBBS from Tbilisi, Georgia. I hold a permanent medical license to practice in India, with 2 years clinical experience in emergency medicine and clinical cardiology. And, I am currently preparing for MRCP. While watching the videos, i have come across a form that is called the alternative certificate for core competencies. I would like to know, if having that and gmc registration with a full pass on mrcp, will make me eligible to join a medical residency in internal medicine UK. And, also if 2 form's need to be filled by the consultants in emergency medicine and cardiology, each. Thank you

    Hello Dr. Roy,
I have got calls from certain consultants regarding medicine training in India for approx 2-3 years during which they will train me in different pvt hospitals and prepare me for mrcp simultaneously. According to them all the training and coaching will be in India and I won’t have to travel to the UK during this period.
All this process requires me completing my internship after MBBS in India and no pg degree is required. And acc to them i will be entering uk as st3.
I would like to know if this path is possible.

    • @AceurMRCP
      @AceurMRCP  Год назад

      Hi Sourabh
You are probably talking about IMT training pathways in India which is fast gaining popularity as a means of bypassing NEETPG and starting speciality training in the UK. It is indeed a validated pathway as many candidates have entered ST training in the UK via this route. However, this route is not without it's share of disadvantages. So please make sure you are adequately informed about the pros and cons before considering this route.

@@AceurMRCP Thank You for your valuable response.
As you said that for MTI, after graduation 3 years of clinical experience is required; I have completed my Internship (as I mentioned earlier), which counts to 1 year, I will be doing my House-Staffship job of 1 Year, which counts to another 1 year, and also if I do another Locum job/Hourly - Pay basis job for a year, that would count to 1 more year, hence meeting the criteria of 3 years of clinical experience after graduating, right? Then I would be eligible for MTI?
Also I would like to know that if GMC registration can be obtained after passing MRCP PART 1 ????
If I would like to get into FY2 LEVEL/NON TRAINING JOB after passing MRCP PART 1, instead of MTI, would that be possible?

      Hi Tash
This depends on where you want to work in the long term UK or India. Watch this video to understand the differences between IMT and MD.

      Hi Gyadari
As outlined in this video, to get the alternative competency certificate signed it is almost imperative that you have some NHS experience. All the best.

      Hi Vishruti
You would need one year of post graduate experience to be eligible for MRCP.If you have completed internshio then that should suffice.
