so true!...i spend alot of time in remote areas and would never call the local gestapo anyway, even if there was cell coverage but to go unprepared is suicide...those girls were no match for the people they encountered...that guide service would be where i'd start looking...
Tour guide rescheduled the day himself and wanted to see if they had written it down or if there was any evidence that it happened. That is my speculation. I know young women now are taught that they can go and do anything they want; but the sad truth is that they cannot. Especially in countries where independent women are not accepted. The attitudes of the area you are traveling to is vitally important to your safety. No one wants to tell you that, but in many, many areas of the world, two young women traveling alone are victims just waiting to happen. Young women from modern more advanced countries a lot of times don't seem to understand that they are not safe traveling or hiking alone. My heart breaks for these two young women and their families. The lure of adventure, must be tempered with grave concerns for safety. Please please young women do not travel alone or even in pairs and think you are safe.
I was going to post the same thing.... There are many sexual attacks these days just in Europe on women... Then they believe that they can travel abroad and be safe? Evidently they weren't. Reminds me of the time a couple bicycled a few years ago in Aberdijan or Georgia... then met their fate there.
@@FeedScrn It is frustrating to me because the climate here is that if you say these things that it is politically incorrect even though it is the truth. There are reasons that fathers in other countries will not allow their wives and daughters to travel alone even in their own cities. Oftentimes it is not to restrict their independence but merely to keep them alive and safe. You are absolutely correct my friend. It is the same in the U.S., yet our young women still think they can travel abroad without worry or heed to caution. Many times the hype and propaganda does not fit the reality. Thanks.
Kris and Lisanne headed to Panama with good intentions and a sense of adventure. But they were naive and underprepared, and in a place where they would stick out as tourists, they decided to go hiking in skimpy shorts and showing plenty of skin, giggling and taking pictures, acting "Western". This would have been in contrast to how the local women dressed, and in opposition to local values. A prior video on this event suggests this appearance/attire *may have* triggered something in people observing them... people wanting to do harm. It sucks they met a horrible fate, but the likelihood of abduction would have been less had they not been there and behaved the way they did.
@@izslat When the victim puts themselves in harm's way, blame the victim all the way. 'Victim blaming' as you use it, is an excuse used by people who have no sense of common sense. No accountability. Do not believe in consequences.
And sadly, this won’t be the last time 2 women that will travel in places that are dangerous in more ways than one, so they can feel fulfilled or something on their bucket list.
Two white YOUNG European women turn up in a small village attracts immediate attention of the locals. They were followed into the forest and murdered. Most likely the taxi driver tipped off some locals. Police covered it up to protect tourist trade and a full blown investigation. It's horrible and sad and a reminder to not go on any hike alone or without correct provisions. They were probably already targeted when they arrived in town anyway. Unfortunately it happens a lot. I never hike alone even here in Australia. RIP 🙏🕯️
Yeah it's not politically correct to say but two young white girls in a country like that or immediately going to be a target. All it takes is one man without much to lose to go for it
As a person from the 3rd world, it amazes me how a lot of these white western women who tour these places are blissfully unaware of the attention they attract. Most local men are drooling over them. They can't tell?
You are obviously correct. I think the psychology of people who look at this case and interpret it as a getting-lost-in-the-wilderness accident possess the same naive denialism that got these girls into trouble in first place.
What struck me as odd....the girls has been in communication with school they were going to be helping at. When they arrive to the school they tell them they don't need them in a rude tone. I find this very odd.
Happy Holidays to you, Bryan, and to everyone that reads this. I really appreciate the way that Bryan shares these stories. The empathy can be heard in his voice.
Reminds me of the guy who went on a solo hike in Hawaii, posting pics to social media and he never returned nor was he ever found. In one of the pics he posted, there was a person- in one of the pics, obviously following him, so scary.
I remember that Hawaii case... I remember thinking the picture of the dude allegedly following him was a little sketchy, like could've been pareidolia. Or maybe a murderer was following him. Hard to say
My Uncle Ronald Scott Gray went hunting in Idaho in 2008 and went missing. He was a true woodsman, a Combat Marine who served with 1st Batallion 9th Marines in Vietnam and was a Captain with Massachusetts State Police. He has never been found. His story is on line. I wish we could have some closure.
The biggest error they made was to go hiking by themselves. You do not do that in a foreign country period!!! Condolences to their respective families 🙏
@@wooskionehundred1788 They weren’t hiking with a guide, I don’t know where you got that idea. Before they went missing it was just Lisanne, Kris, and the dog hiking.
1) The guide Feliciano claimed the women booked a hiking tour (not on El Pianista) with him on 2nd April and when they did not turn up for the tour, he immediately rushed to where they were staying on the 2nd and even entered their room (to do what?) ... why would a tour guide be so overly concerned about total strangers? 2) No one knows for sure if the dog followed the women on the hike. 3) Why is there a gap of 10 days before the barrage of photos in the dark. What was so special that early morning that they suddenly whipped out the camera and snap away maniacally but in the prior 10 days, there was not a single camera activity. 4) It seems, attached to Lisanne's leg bone was a ROLLED UP PIECE OF SKIN. Skin, we would assume is one of the earliest of body parts to decompose fully, within a few days in a jungle environment. So how did some of Lisanne's skin remain weeks or months after she passed but not a trace of her large bones and skull could be found? ....and dozens more other questions....which unfortunately will go unanswered. Lisanne's and probably Kris' parents have given up and just accepted the deaths of their daughters.
Their tour guide had some really bad reviews (i think on Yelp at one point) from solo female hikers saying he was a creep but sprinkled around those bad reviews are the good ones when he did family tours.
@@nottheeviltwin6 Don't know about Yelp but on Tripadvisor, the guide gets good reviews by all reviewers, except for the last one (who has only 1 review). While we should not blindly accuse the guide of committing something which may not have occurred, his actions especially on 2nd April, should really have been questioned by the authorities. It may also be of interest that his son has been alleged to be part of a local gang - and not long after the disappearance of the young ladies, two of the gang members were found dead (and dead about a year later in shallow waters, was the taxi driver who supposedly brought the ladies to the trail on that day). Who knows if these are all connected, or not. No proper investigations were done.
@@carolina_girl3484 Most likely explanation for the state of Lisanne remains by my way of thinking is she was buried in a high altitude (cool) grave. She had shin splints and a foot bone fracture so maybe there came a point where she could not keep up. I think Lisanne's personality was such that she would become hysterical and difficult to control with threats. Kris was more stable and strikingly attractive (also smaller). I think she was kept alive longer because she was taken to a ranch with buildings she could be kept in. To me, the night photos taken at 3am in a rainstorm are not very convincing evidence that Krish had been in the cloud forrst for a week, Her hair is all we can see but its not matted and looks much too clean.
Merry Christmas to you! Thank you for putting out a video tonight especially. It’s my first Xmas without my Dad, he passed 83 days ago. I have a hard time sleeping on the best of nights, let alone Xmas Eve! So again, thank you so much. 😊💕🎄
Kim, I want to offer my sincere condolences on your Dad's passing. I can't imagine what you are going through but if I may share my belief that our loved ones that have passed are always with us, even guiding and comforting us in ways we can't always feel at the time but they are there! Looking back over the years I've realized this to be true and with it helped me find strength at some of my weakest moments! I hope you may find encouragement in this as I have! Someday soon you'll be looking at the sky, a flower, maybe an animal and you'll smile and feel your burden be lifted, secure in the knowledge you aren't alone! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy and Healthy New Year filled with joy, success and happiness!!! Peace my friend ✌️😎👍
I put my money on the guide. We’ll never know unless he commits another crime and is caught. I wish young women would realize it is never safe to be in isolated places unless you are in a large group! Predators are always looking for opportunities. Rest in Peace
Indeed. My sister and a friend were assaulted while hitchhiking back in the '70s. It was an unsuccessful rape, as they kicked him in the nads and ran off. But it could just as easily have resulted in tragedy.
Of course we realize that. All women realize they are always* in some level of danger from men. It just comes down to making a choice of playing the odds of going on a hike plenty of women had been on before and made it out fine, or living in fear your entire life never doing anything fun or getting to experience anything and still possibly getting killed in your own home or walking to your car from the grocery store in broad daylight. Getting shot in your front yard setting up a yard sale. We are always in danger. Always. I'm sitting in my house right now alone with the doors locked, a pitbull, and a gun, so I'm taking about as much precautions as I can take, yet still I'm in a good bit of danger from a violent male. I'd rather be hiking in a jungle.
The way you narrate your stores are captivating. You don't bore us on and on with useless info as some tend to do. They lose me a minute or two in but you just up and tell the facts as you know it right from the get go and you have a good tone of voice to keep us interested in your words. Hope you have no long haul issues left over from your accident and that you're doing ok💞🇨🇦
Kidnapped, murdered, partial remains scattered, bones bleached to hide DNA, personal belongings left about, made to look like they had an accident. My guess is tour guide was involved. Also, no way that dog went back to the host families house from there, doubt he was even there. This case seems so mysterious but its probably pretty simple
I agree. The Tour Guide Feliciano Gonzales either killed them or he´s covering up the crime for his deeply criminal son, Henry Elizar Gonzales and his gang, consisting off Jorge Murgas (dead), Jorge Rivera Miranda (dead), Osman Velezuales (dead) and Heriberto Gonzales (dead). Plineo Montenegro, Edwin Aquirre and Vega Moises know what happend. They all know what happend.
12:18 brilliant observation, about the flash usage. The 2 girls were kidnapped and they are gear and belongings were fiddled with. I know that there are some theories out there that maintain that they got lost and fell off a bridge, but I believe it's the more sinister likelihood.
Well we do know 1 thing for sure, only one knows were they went that day was the taxi cab driver, he knew the dog was with him obviously. Very strange. Hope they got taxi drivers fingerprints as well as tour guides too.
I think it's messed up that the host family turned them away w/ no where to stay for a whole week. The reason you arrange to stay with a family is so they can help guide you & protect you in a foreign country.
There are disturbing clue's and details to this case. A lot of video's here on youtube about this. The dog was ruled out I believe, as in dog didnt have much to do with them. Check out these video's, host's are very odd. Tour guide assisted by host to search their hostel immediately after girls were declared missing. Very wierd stuff, check it out. It's not a reach at all to imagine a number of parties were complicit...
@@jannyhawkins7135 maybe something went wrong or got messy and they just decided to rape and kill em. I think as westerners, we underestimate the savagery that goes on beyond the tourist traps in underdeveloped countries. Just stay in the tourist trap y'all.
Life today is dangerous enough in your home countries, without traveling alone to impoverished third world places abroad, especially young women alone. RIP, hearts out to the families.
Well said and so true. These third world countries may look pretty and are beautiful but their living and belief's are very different. you are Not safe traveling around being women , why don't people wake up .
You're right we should live in fear our whole lives and never really get the chance to truly live, and btw, statistically, my US city is far FAR more dangerous per capita for homicides than all of Panama combined. Just my city alone, in the USA.
....and people used to give me grief over wearing my. 38 when I went on a solo hike with just my dog, or when camping with my family, but guess what, it worked, no one can ever seem to realized that hiking/camping is dangerous, I've always believed that some serial killers look for their victims in the isolated wilderness of our national parks and forests...but if you are going in to the woods its a good idea to at least have a gun in their backpack, and I'm not a gun nut or anything but I am a realist and always would carry a gun for protection in the woods...these were terrific kids, sincere condolences to the families, and girls, think about what I'm saying and believe that this sort of thing can happen....protect yourselves....
I carry everywhere it is legal to do so...basically everywhere but work or places like hospitals and court houses. If you have a good gun and holster, you hardly even notice you have it. It becomes automatic like your wallet and keys....and it's always better to have it and not need it. If that makes me a "gun nut" so be it. It's a ridiculous term.
If they took the dog why isn't he in ANY of their pictures????? That dog story was just added by someone making assumptions. Everyone who has covered this just passed the information instead of fact checking or verifying it!!
Agreed, there was no dog. The guy making this video is fixated on the dog like it’s an undisputed fact. I’m surprised I made it to the end with his constant mention of it.
@@stevew278 Well there was a dog named Azul who accompanies tourists from time to time and he went with the parents when they came to search but he wasn't with the girls that day or they would have for sure took photos of him on their hike to the Mirador.
Bryan this a truly bizarre mystery. Two fair skinned attractive young ladies should never go hiking in a foreign country. In this day and age, there are too many weird people roaming this earth.
What a gift Bryan! So many are posting less videos right now and you are just jammin! Thank you Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas if you celebrate❤ Unfortunately, so many of these lost ppl start by going somewhere under conditions that just are not safe. In this case these 2 girls who didnt pack for emergencies, were new to the area and tho intelligent were naive to the dangers.
I believe they were stalked and knew that before sun down, hence the many attempts to dial emergency services. I've seen another video on this story but more detailed. The mother of one of the girls went to that location and on the same trail and stated its almost impossible to get lost away from the trail because the trail is so well defined. In my opinion those many pictures that were taken in the dark with flash weren't to see what was in front of them but they were hearing movement around them and they were trying to see what or who was there with them via the camera flash. Seems they found out before they were captured and killed, because the missing image that was permanently deleted according to investigation could only be done if it was connected to a computer
The first picture that was deleted was the first nighttime photo and was probably black because they forgot to turn on the flash. The police likely deleted the photo because it was just black.

The criminals they were warned about probably lived in that very village and took the trail to the summit to prey on tourists including these two, the fact that they stopped taking pictures after the summit meant they had no access to their camera or backpack, why stop taking pics unless you can't? Suddenly, in the middle of the night, somebody starts taking pictures but who? I would guess that whoever got it from the girls, got it out and started playing. The bras mystery is CRAY! Two girls wear bras in town but ditch them as soon as they can...that's your mystery? The camera is the key and where it was retrieved wasn't where it was stolen, they were abducted and marched toward to village and killed deep in the jungle where the night pics were taken and left for the animals, the camera went to the village with the killers but somebody's mother figured out that it was evidence and made them put everything back in it and she left it in an unlikely place because they can't put it back at the crime scene. It seems obvious to me that they must have been abducted at the summit and must have been taken to the murder scene and their backpack was taken on to the village by the killers so the "mystery" is why a village will lie to protect a son, brother or father over tourists when preying on them is their thing. How do you convict a whole village when Bryan is in doubt? Some of them did it, some of them know it but none of them will tell it.
I heard with that type of camera you can delete a picture but that one particular picture was permanently deleted. Which means it would have had to been hooked up to some sort of computer to permanently delete.
I have that camera. When you look at the pictures, it is actually easy to accidentally delete a photo, even the permanent delete. I think they were in the pitch black jungle. Heard sounds. Were shaking like crazy from fear. Took pictures. Then shaking in terror were looking at the photos and accidentally hit delete.
@@secondact7151 yup and I think they just got lost and perished not from foul play. How could they be allowed to keep their phones to call 911 so many times. I did put off seeing this case as it has been done over and over. However I think you really bring this case down to earth and provide very realistic and logical theories which gives better insight than the traditional theories.

From what I have heard these two young women were experienced hikers. The reason they had little water, and no over night gear would be based on the fact they knew this trail was well marked, and one way up, one way down affair. My theory is they got to the summit, took their pictures, and started back down the trail. However, they must have noticed some one followed them, and they either went over the back side of the mountain in an attempt to evade the threat, or were herded in that direction. I think, in essence, this is pretty "simple" case. Two young, and pretty women, of no intent of their own, attracted the wrong kind of attention.
They continue moving forward from the summit. Picture 508 is on the other side of the trial, they never returned to the where they started their journey.
If they were, "experienced" they would have taken more water with them and not hiked without protection (a guide or a few guides, an AK47). They were not, "experienced". Hiking on a day trip does not constitute, "experience"
No mate, they returned from the hike and went to a waterfall to relax with a group of 3 local boys. The shop keeper saw them entering their car since they didn't manage to call a taxi.
@@mikatu The authorities believe that instead of going back down the marked trail, to the village where they were staying. They continued down the other side of the mountain. Now, that suggests to me that there was someone on the trail between them and the village. Someone they really didn't want to get involved with.
Great observation about why the photos may have been taken! Must be the 10th time I've heard this tragic story and the 1st time I've ever heard such a plausible and new explanation. Great work and humbling tribute as always.
Merry Christmas to you Bryan. You seem like such a genuinely nice and good hearted person. I thoroughly enjoy your channel and videos. Have a wonderful holiday man

At their young ages and regardless of being well educated, many of us feel invincible. Probably, the excitement of being in a new and amazing place clouded their judgment. The pain the families are experiencing is beyond my comprehension . Please know that other people hope you finally have answers. What awesome young ladies !
You must be a Baby Boomer. You don't understand the Extreme Feminize that is going on. Nothing wrong with feminism until it gets extreme. They actually believed that no harm can come to them because the liberal god said so.
@@stormsurge9953 But feminism is completely different from equality. Feminists are more likely to be Narcissists or have other attention seeking behaviours. In fact feminists have apparently been found to also have high levels of testosterone. I was fearless, drove semi trucks, rode horses and motorcycles, water ski and snow ski, worked as a correctional officer and have been a strong beautiful woman. I also have a degree in criminology so for any woman reading this, here is some advice. I got lucky and that is the only reason I have lived to be an old woman. If you're in a relationship where you are being hit, choked, get out because it will only get worse. Stay out of bars and and don't drink alcohol, don't have one night stands. Never allow a stranger into your home. Don't walk alone at night. Don't go hiking in dangerous environments. And ladies you may not want to hear this because we should be able to wear whatever we want...our world is far too dangerous with predatory men and it's like painting a target on yourself, so cover up. I broke all of these rules and paid the price. Best thing you can do is don't drink and get yourself trained to shoot with a concealed carry license. Be safe ❤
Sunshine. I understand what your saying, but you have to live a life of experience, can't shut yourself away, worrying all the time, bad things can happen, but it is rare. You have my respect.
Do what I say, not what I do? Personally I would never want to give up all the adventures I have for a safe existence. Was one of the first woman to visit Cambodia that wasn't with the UN when they opened their borders again. Worked as a concrete layer (great money), wore what I wanted...To live a fulfilling life you have to get in amongst it. Older now and go bush camping here in Australia in some pretty bloody isolated places. Do it as safely as possible but nothing is for sure. Could die of a heart attack sitting on the couch because I ate junk food and didn't exercise is NOT the way I'm going out.
Merry christmas & I love your way of telling these stories. Its the way we would hear some news we heard from a family member. I hope you have much success from your channel!!
What happened is unfortunately a lesson in why nobody should feel so overconfident or naive when in an unfamiliar area. One rule of thumb when traveling abroad, to measure general societal safety, is the police wages in relation to poverty levels. Where police wages are low, unreported and unsolved crime is often high. Even more disturbing is that police often become involved in criminal behavior. Often this target wealthy tourists and foreigners. An example is India, a place where police are often involved in the gang kidnappings of westerners who will hold them in local prisons for the gangs who are collecting the ransoms. Criminals are everywhere in society and impoverished areas are often a place where there can be a concentration of criminal activity. In these circumstances impoverished individuals living often off a few dollars a year might be tempted to take the opportunity to improve their lot by committing a heinous crime. Then there is the issue of the general rate of deviants in society. Sexual predators exist even in these areas and are opportunists much like they are in America and other developed countries. With the low level of sophistication in police technology they can exist for decades without interference from the law. It would seem, sadly these young women encountered one such individual. Robbery wasn't the motive as the money and other valuables were in the backpack that was obviously in someone's possession from the time they went missing. This means it was someone who had no need of the money and wanted something else instead.
Great thinking and absolutely valid. I have traveled and lived in Sth East Asia and I’d rather trust a taxi driver than a cop in Thailand, Borneo, mainland Indonesia (never!), Bali; I would trust them mildly in KL but would listen to my gut feelings first...
@@littleredwitch Very true. Thailand is a good example where police are often involved in tourist cons. The jet ski rental damage con is popular in SE Asia where the rental operator claims damage and police come in and threaten to incarcerate the tourist if they don't pay. These are relatively benign criminal acts but it is a simple example of how greed and opportunity can persuade people to take advantage of foreigners.
@@reesedaniel5835 You would think that would be the case. Unless they really didn't have a need and were willing to give it up in an effort to throw investigators off their trail. The search and international effort was rather fast and might have kept the perpetrator from using the money or disposing of the items. There is also the possibility the bag was just stolen from a riverbank as the women were bathing. It would explain the bras being inside the bag. Still if theft was a motivation why not spend the money? I am more inclined to think the bag was a souvenir kept by the perpetrator and later left in another location to distract investigators.
Repetitive, but informative, it opens the doors to several possible conclusions, the most glaring is that there is a cover up. 1.) No autopsy reports 2.) No follow up reports from local authorities/ search and rescue 3.) Remains of one of the women were "bleached", which is a common method of removing evidence. But the remains of the other woman were not, hence the fact that one was dead prior to the other and that the bleaching of the remains was an attempt to hide the remains. 4.) Time lapse between first and second victim's deaths, authorities/search and rescue's presence was known to be in area thus the "rush" to dispose of the second womans remains, no bleaching, but remains were scattered. 5.) No visible signs of predation on any of the remains other than bacterial and microbial, look up "large predators" native to this region as well other dangerous local fauna. 6.) Sadly, this is a case of "abused trust", traveling in an environment you are not familiar with in 99% of critical situations. Having to rely/trust locals for the needed information for basic needs is a fact that is not unknown to the locals. We all want to believe that there are no bad people out there wanting to take advantage of foreigners or wanting to do them harm, the fact is this type of event can be found in any country regardless of its international status. Bad people do exist, that's not paranoia, that's just reality. Bad things happen to good people...daily. There is more work to be done on this case, whether the locals will ante up or dismiss this is anyone's guess. I would like to see the reports of the families of the 2 women and what their investigators found and what if any problems they had in obtaining information from the local authorities. Hopefully this case can be used as learning tool for others who choose to venture into foreign countries, you can never be too prepared.
I remember hearing this story awhile back. Here's my thoughts on it. The dog didn't go up the mountain with them. Someone at the summit made them uncomfortable so they went into the rugged terrain hoping they wouldn't be followed. The girl fell at some point, got a gash in her head and a concussion. They were however being followed. After the injury, they were then forced to march deeper into the wilderness, raped and murdered. The girls were murdered in different places. Murderer scattered clothing and backpack. A hunter found the backpack, brought it home, then when the news hit, or after they realized they had the girls backpack they placed it out in the field and said they found it there. Animals are known to drag bones around to pick off the meat. So their bones were scattered by animals after they were killed.
The dog didn't go up there because of the Bigfoot. Sasquatch were known to rape first nations women. They have two rows of teeth for ripping apart flesh. They are cannibals. Very scary and very sad for those people.
The backpack was brought back to the local tribes village . A counsel of the elders was held the evening it was found . The counsel debated and came to the agreement that one of the women in the tribe would be the one to bring the backpack to LE. This was done to ensure no men in the village were looked at as suspect . This tribe was very Leary of working with the government and LE because at the time the government was trying to take back this tribes ancestral land . So hence , the multiple finger prints on the backpack and why the items were dried / dry when handed over . Due to it being in the tribal village for at least 24 hours
the locals were definitely holding back evidence...in America they would have been incriminated by the lack of support they offered....Americans!...do not go there!!!
@@lloydburris7487 they were holding back only due to the fact that at that time the government there was trying to grab more of the tribal land away from them that hand been theirs since their ancestors . So the tribes didn’t want to give the government any reason to accuse them of anything to justify taking land aWay .the backpack wasn’t given to authorities immediately due to that reason . Also in most tribes major decisions that affect all tribe members are usually decides by an elder counsel before acting upon anything. That is why the backpack was dry and things were neat . The person who found it brought it to their elders to ask what should be done . The counsel met and talked and came up with a conclusion hence time to have things dry off.

Hello Byan, I remember this story. The tragedy is they were oblivious to how dangerous the jungle can be.. If someone else was involved that person would've taken their fones from them. . Since they both tried calling 911, tells me they're lost, alone scared and in the dark nights of the jungle. Bras being found in the BP sounds right. 2 young ladies hot and sweaty/ walking for hours will take off their bras. The bras could have been causing some chafing on them. This is a tragedy that could have been avoided with information ,knowledge paying attention to the signs etc . Sad parents don't say hey wait a minute.. Thank you Bryan. Great work on all the videos iv seen of yours.
Did no one tell these lovely, generous, vulnerable young women that Panama has almost double the violent crime rate as The Netherlands? Did no one Advise them that if there is an unfamiliar wilderness, typically requiring a guide, than they probably shouldn’t go there themselves? Not victim-blaming. Just frustrated!!!
The girls might have heard something sneaking up on them in the dark....thinking it was an animal, they took pictures with flash to scare it. It was likely the 2 legged most deadly predator
PLease do check a video of the pianista trail behind the mirador. The area is not loking like a preadator is living there. Its rocky and steepy area there.
@@mr.b.3633 there are villages over there. The tour guide lived over there. There have been dozens of murders and missing persons cases along that trail.
I watched this story on a different channel. In one of the pictures taken at night, there appears to possibly be a person in the lower right corner circled in red.
It was quite risky for these two girls to venture out into the wild in the rainforest area. At the Khao Sok nationalpark in the South of Thailand they had put up a controllpoint saying... don't carry on walking after 4 p.m. in Khao Sok it can get dangerous because of wild elephants and poss. tigers. In Panama there are no bigger dangerous animals, no reports of jaguars atacking people. The most dangerous thing in those central america region are poachers, drug lords, villians... I stayed at a campsite within the Kaeng Krachan nationalpark, witnessing wild elephants venturing about at night (a bit scary), a chinese traveller took a pic of a leopard from the jeep. At the Amazon region I was fascinated by the wildlife, huge spider, cute snakes and kaimans,
I have watched several vids about these girls and really don't know whether it was foul play or accidental. I do think the authorities did a piss poor job on their investigation whether deliberately or just incompetence. I also think the girls were exceptionally naïve and foolish when they had never been in a jungle before and never even in that country before. I have traveled extensively by myself both in the US and other countries but would never, even when I was younger, gone off like that. Yes I mingled with locals as much as I could to learn their culture and improve my knowledge of their languages and customs but never went off alone, I stayed with large groups of people. Nor did I ever go into wild country where I didn't know the flora or fauna or what other dangers might lurk there and the two legged predators are far more dangerous than the four, six, eight legged or no legged varieties. It is sad what happened to them but I doubt anyone will ever know the truth.
you think the same way i do, these women were taken by evil men and had no chance once they were out in the woods...they were crazy to do it and they paid the ultimate price, god rest there souls....
If people don't prepare before you go someone dangerous properly, then police would not have to get involve. it is today's attitude, "I can do what I want". Nobody can, "Do what they want". People have to head to the insane and the environment
Of course they did, it is a Banana Republic. You don't expect Western Service in Banana Republic do you? Also, there is a stigma for young ladies running around in Latin countries. Their attitude-is, "They shouldn't be far from home or without the safety of a man". I am not saying, "it is right". Just saying, "That is the way it is in those countries"
The area that these two disappeared in was a tourist attraction. If something nefarious occurred, the authorities would be under pressure to sweep it under the rug to not affect tourism.
I have watched every single interview and documentary about these girls. I agree with Lisanne's brother, that it was a tragic accident. The girls actually didn't have a appointment with the guide the day they sat out to do the hike. They had a appointment with the guide the following day. The guide actually told them to wait on the hike however they didn't want to. Kris was actually very irritable as she talked about it to her parents and even wrote about it in her diary. The school was the one who cancelled on them for working that week. So with a whole week without something to do, the girls are restless. They asked the guide his opinion on going on the trail to the summit, he said that they should wait. They went anyway and was even told by other vacation folks and the locals not to go alone. The girls went to the summit and while on the summit looked up the waterfall location. They thought that there was plenty of daylight left to have enough time. They shouldn't have gotten off that trail as they had a appointment with guide to do it the following day. Keep in mind that 2 young girls who are stubborn and bored, thinking how nothing could go wrong and proceed to go. I believe Kris fell on the cable bridge, hurting herself really bad. I think Lisanne tried to help her and injured her leg really bad. It's Lisanne believed to have called emergency service on both of the phones. Panicking they realized that they were in big trouble they conserved battery on the phone's. I think Lisanne stayed with Kris till she dies and tries to go for help. That's why she made the arrow pointing to the other side of the bridge. Hearing the hellacopter and using the camera flash she's trying to signal the hellacopter. Her body finally gives out and she dies. It was a horrible accident and had they tried to expand the search maybe they would be alive today. Trying to make conspiracy theories is not doing any good for anyone. Look how everyone believed that Brian Laundrie was on a trail in Tennessee and all of these conspiracy theories were going around like fire. People have a hard time wanting to just believe it's just a accident and not a serial killer or paranormal event. It's sad, but moving forward people can learn from this tragedy.
Lmaooooo that is ridiculous. They were kidnapped, trafficked, r*ped and now are dead or human salves. Then getting lost on a forest trail that is near impossible to get lost on (kris kremers parents went to Panama and walked the trail they supposedly got lost on and even they were left with the conclusion that it is impossible to get lost or venture off the trail).
@@nickyblue4866 if they went 10 yards off trail in a jungle they would probably get lost. Also the dog running off could be a potential but why no photos of the dog or is there one out there ?
The 1st searches were by a group organized by the tour guide. The government didn't start searching for at least 5 days or more. They didn't immediately do shit!!
Going with what you presented Bryan- "body parts scattered about"?" Well, they would have deduced the deaths were from an animal so the only other explanation of course would be foul play of the most heinous kind in this case. Someone either followed them or crossed their paths maybe telling them there was an easier way, a shortcut, back but with bad intentions on their mind (s?) That deleted photo was sure to hold the clue. Someone went to great efforts to ensure it would never be retrieved. I personally would NEVER have let my daughter holiday in that part of the world. The crime stats there are notoriously high.
The bones showed no signs of injuries, so strangulation is possible. Foul play is difficult on a 1 vs 2 when using strangulation. One rock on the back of the head would stop that attack.
@@thiefonthecross7552 right. They'd hate to have a case like what happened to Aruba's tourism industry on their hands, I'm sure. Of course officials are going to rule it an accident no foul play here, nothing to see, just two girls getting lost on a common hike for tourists to go on, that they usually never get lost on, but nevermind that. They got lost because nothing is more important than $, and certainly not two young women there to do charity.
The picture that was deleted was most likely completely black due to it being the first nighttime photo. After that, they would know to turn on the flash, which is on in all the other pictures.
Bryan, Thank you for sharing this sad story. As you mentioned, a lot of the investigation is missing. My heart goes out to their families. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year. I have enjoyed your website and watching your subscriber numbers increase! Wishing you all the best!
Great presentation. Your methodology and approach to the subject is most respectfull. Your voice cadence and format is also exemplary. A job well done mate. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Bryan. Sad case again with no answers. You make a very interesting point. Why are there no photos of the dog? If the dog returned home that day, it must have left the women fairly early on. Unfortunately, I think authorities, in their efforts to protect their tourism industry, don't always do the best investigations and can cover up facts. It is a puzzling case but the state of the backpack seems to indicate that at some stage, a third party was involved.
No way that skin should still have been there!! Extremely scary!! Poor girls! Great job on this one I did love your thoughts about the the night pictures. This & Delphi are those ones that drive me crazy I want answers for their families!! I also live about 30 minutes from Delphi, but just want them solved so badly.
Anyone approaching the case neutrally has to admit the locals involved gave suspicious statements: - Miriam saying she waited up till 11pm for the girls to come home, but never actually called them. -Miriam leaving the next morning without checking if they were home, still not calling them. - Eileen saying "they're usually on time", when she only met them 2 days ago and can't know that. - Feliciano going to the girls' bedroom just because they're late for a walk. Stalker much? - Feliciano getting a spare key to let himself into their locked bedroom. He's not the police. - Miriam giving girls' bedroom keys to men they don't know just because he says they're late. - Feliciano spending half an hour snooping around the bedroom of girls that according to him he never met. - Still no one actually calling the girls. - The alleged 8am appointment being made between Eileen and Feliciano, neither confirming with the girls if they agreed. - Feliciano giving contradicting accounts of whether he stayed with Eileen all day or separated. - Eileen quickly returning to Germany before being questioned by police. - Irma saying she went to the river to do laundry, two hours away from her village in a place she'd never been. - Irma saying the backpack wasn't there the day before, despite also saying she'd never been there before. - Irma saying she found the backpack alone then walked home to tell Luis, despite Luis saying they found it together.
With ALL the evidens, I think that defenedly this was not an accident. I think they were prisoned for days somewhere and after that it was tried to stage as an accident. Hope that this case will be opened for investigation that the that truth would come out and relatives could have some peace.
They reach the summit, they get hijacked and taken to be tortured etc. One gets killed and then a week later the other one gets killed. Their belongings were retained and then scattered to confuse investigation. The answers lay in the autopsy report....
The decisions some people make absolutely befuddle me. I am 6'2" tall. 200 lbs. I have studied Wing Chun and Aikido. College educated. An avid cyclist. 139 IQ. And I would never do any of the shit the people in your videos do. Mind-boggling.
They are dressed for a day at the beach 10’ from the car, not a wilderness hike. Also, if they were lost or just injured why not record a video with an explanation on a phone? Young, attractive westerners should never travel in sketchy countries without being part of a secure group.
Ah! Holy cow, that's a really good point. Brilliant input. I've seen goodbye videos from people lost and dying, I know I would definitely do that... I used to think it was an accident, now I'm not sure.
Exactly. They didn’t even use the notes features on their phones to type a final message or something to clue their families in on what happened to them? Not buying that at all.
Bryan you have a nice story telling style - I like it - this story is fascinating- the pics on camera were quite disturbing- heart goes out to their families.
the one that very mysterious is the time stamp. i made my research to align their phone log and their picture date. they lost at 1 april and start calling for emergency number but no signal. the red hair girl phone start asking for pin numbers around 5 april meaning she's already unconscious that her friends operated her phone without knowing her pin numbers. what very strange is at 8 april at the night photos there's picture of the red head girl taking from the back showing her hair in very good condition not like the hair of somebody that lost for more than a week. and the worst is the red head girl phone keep asking for a pin numbers until 11 april. think about it, this is a massive sign of a foul play.
I've been following this case since 2015. I studied a lot about it. So I'm going to put here just a summary of 130 pages in Portuguese that I wrote about the case. Maybe some day I record a video about it... Lets go: I have 25 years of rain forest trail experience [and 3 years of night experience in the forest]. It's all documented on my channel. There are more than 1300 videos. I think someone tried something to the Dutch girls on the trail and then they got lost on the run. Or simply got lost. It's the only theory that fits the data as criminals rarely let victims use cell phones or cameras. That person may even have stayed with them a few hours before the emergency calls. But after that I think they broke free, maybe injured...That's why I think only 509 pic was deleted.... It's the only way to explain cell phone signal patterns and cell phone and camera usage... As well as a lot of other forensic evidence that I will comment very briefly: the girls consulted google maps at the Mirador and Weather APP after some days; volcano ash and bat feces can whiten bones... Those evidence contradict a late foul play... The backpack was also not in such good condition, so much so that some cell phone photos were not recovered... Finally: they were not prepared to walk for the first time on a difficult path. I've walked thousands of km on trails like that and I've seen several videos of the trail: it's not as easy as it looks. Another important piece of information: most people get lost on the way back from the trails. Hey... Not sure if the dog went with them. If the dog went with them the first thing they would have done would be a photo with the dog. Hey 2: the searches didn't start immediately... And that could have cost them their lives... Another thing: searches were almost always done on trails where they obviously weren't. Wrong places and wrong times... From what I studied of the case and where the clues were found, the most likely place where they ended up dying is on the banks of the Changuinola River, maybe near a huge stone or cave [explains Kris dried hair, back pack status, bleached bones] next to it. They ended up next to a rock - which, according to what I studied from the photos - is about 6 m2, close to a ravine about 8 m high and a stream with not so wide banks [since the flash did not reach the other bank]... People with severe hypothermia feel less cold without clothes than with wet clothes.. They put up signs on that rock and used flash to signal location. I believe that if searches up the river[s] were carried out with a drone from where the first trace of them was found, that rock and ravine could be found by land teams. As a PhD in plant biology I studied the plants in the night photos: Cecropia peltata, Cupania guatemalcensis, Spondias mombin, Phyllostachys aurea, Clusia rosea, Anthurium schlechtendalii, Musa velutina or Heliconia, Clethra mexicana. Follow the probable rivers up, find the probable stones with drone [must be 6 m2 at least, visible stone from drone], check vegetation close, and this would help to find the location of the night photos and better understand what happened... Hope I helped a little to solve this puzzle...
What i find strange is if you find the last page of I believe lisannes diary it says the work they were supposed to do at the school wasn’t available even though they booked it months in advance…
I enjoy your channel! 😊 (This particulate case is not only tragic but intriguing. Unfortunately since it happened in another country we may never uncover what actually happened.)
Seems like foul play because if they were lost dehydrated and dying they would've written a note or wrote a text to themselves. Even if the text wouldn't go through it would still record the attempted text on their phone. I've made reminder texts to myself at times just to record notes even if it didn't go through my text still appeared as attempted. Being lost and then just dying without any note doesn't make sense especially young women would diary it in some fashion. They could've each written a text detailing what they're going through and hit 'send' and it wouldn't go through but the text sent out would still appear in their attempted texts. That leaves foul play.
Right back to you same Bryan, and Merry Christmas to you. This story certainly is tragic for sure, your viewpoint was presented accurately as well as professionally. As usual. Happy New Year!
My guess is an evil encounter with 1 or more human predators! Women need to use common sense when hiking out in the middle of nowhere! Go with a small group, or at least be armed and know how to defend yourself!
Evil is lurking everywhere and most today have no clue. Man is the most dangerous predator.
Nope, it is today's attitude, "I can do what I want". Nobody can, "Do what they want". You have to heed to the insane and the environment

Please please young women do not travel alone or even in pairs and think you are safe.
the tour guide has nothing to do with it.
Thanks.
You are so correct!
Organ harvesting? 🙁
2 attractive women wandering around alone in a place with a very high homicide rate, exploring dangerous jungles, what could go wrong?
Very high homicide rate? How many homicides do you think there were in Boquete in the last 10 years?
Come to Chicago if you want to see homocides.
@@Defender78 sounds like you just wanna blame the victim

And sadly, this won’t be the last time 2 women that will travel in places that are dangerous in more ways than one, so they can feel fulfilled or something on their bucket list.
My guess is there were killed my a local from the city or forrest.
@@Safe-and-effective They like the attention.

Yes. Its very sad

I think you would get very short odds.

I agree. The Tour Guide Feliciano Gonzales either killed them or he´s covering up the crime for his deeply criminal son, Henry Elizar Gonzales and his gang, consisting off Jorge Murgas (dead), Jorge Rivera Miranda (dead), Osman Velezuales (dead) and Heriberto Gonzales (dead). ....and people used to give me grief over wearing my.
I don't think anyone would confuse you for a gun nut when you admit that you carry a .38

There was no dog. The photos are faked and photoshopped (and poorly).

How’d the dog get across the cable bridges??…

Bryan this a truly bizarre mystery. Two fair skinned attractive young ladies should never go hiking in a foreign country. In this day and age, there are too many weird people roaming this earth.
This is such a very sad story... Since hearing about this, I've always felt that they were murdered. Just my opinion.
What a gift Bryan! So many are posting less videos right now and you are just jammin! Thank you Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas if you celebrate❤
Unfortunately, so many of these lost ppl start by going somewhere under conditions that just are not safe.

Your a pleasure to listen to my friend. God Bless from Canada.
Spot on, yoursotruly, spot on. The abductors took the camera from the girls at the summit.
Yes, that makes sense.

What would be the motive in killing them though?
I heard with that type of camera you can delete a picture but that one particular picture was permanently deleted. Which means it would have had to been hooked up to some sort of computer to permanently delete.
Creepy, right!
@@mikatu Are you saying, "The were not killed on the hike but somewhere else and then the body parts were taken back up the trail?
@@mikatu The authorities believe that instead of going back down the marked trail, to the village where they were staying. They continued down the other side of the mountain. They were assaulted and killed---eventually one of the locals will talk. God rest their Souls.

R*ped and murdered or trafficked
@@nickyblue4866 Rapists, murderers and traffickers would have most assuredly taken the money as well..
1.) No autopsy reports
2.) No follow up reports from local authorities/ search and rescue
3.) Remains of one of the women were "bleached", which is a common method of removing evidence.

One set of bones was bleached with chemicals that only humans would be using.
They made repeated calls to emergency services (911 or 112) between April 1st - April 4th.
The dog didn't go up there because of the Bigfoot.
Sasquatch were known to rape first nations women.
They have two rows of teeth for ripping apart flesh.
They are cannibals. Very scary and very sad for those people.
you need to write novels.

Great video, Bryan. You are such an empath. Thanks, so much. Your passion is much appreciated.
This is probably the darkest and most puzzling case I've heard of. I first heard of it years ago from alternate sources.
At the Amazon region I was fascinated by the wildlife, huge spider, cute snakes and kaimans,
They met the most dangerous animal.... man...
Could one of the girls have been bitten by a spider - which lead to subsequent trouble?
We know exactly what happened as do people in Boquete. But the girls were not Panamanians so no one cares much.
If people don't prepare before you go someone dangerous properly, then police would not have to get involve.
it is today's attitude, "I can do what I want". Nobody can, "Do what they want". People have to head to the insane and the environment
25% chance it was an accident, gone wrong. 75% chance it was a nefarious incident.
So many unanswered questions. So heartbreaking. They were so naive. Bless their souls and their loved ones.
The area that these two disappeared in was a tourist attraction. If something nefarious occurred, the authorities would be under pressure to sweep it under the rug to not affect tourism.
True, but they should of also have been motivated by a quicker response for the girls but also for the tourist dollars.
Thank u for sharing this video. Hopefully lessens can be learned from from this tragic case.
My feelings exactly after seeing multiple people cover this. Got in way over their heads hiking in an unknown area
Lmaooooo that is ridiculous. They were kidnapped, trafficked, r*ped and now are dead or human salves. That deleted photo was sure to hold the clue. Someone went to great efforts to ensure it would never be retrieved. I personally would NEVER have let my daughter holiday in that part of the world. They got lost because nothing is more important than $, and certainly not two young women there to do charity.
The picture that was deleted was most likely completely black due to it being the first nighttime photo. After that, they would know to turn on the flash, which is on in all the other pictures.
Those two women were attacked by two other unknown men who followed them for a while before they actually attacked the women.
Exactly
Agreed. Explains why both girls were minus their bras and at least one of them minus her shorts.
4 men or more. Girls might have been overpowered
I wish you a beautiful and contented Christmas, Bryan. Keep well and thank you for your hard work. ❤️🎄❤️ Happy 2022!
Thank you for your thoughtful, kind remarks Bryan! I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas 🎄!
Happy holidays Brian you have a God given talent to story telling about these people that need their cases open and help maybe to solve them
Finally a you tuber that pronounce Boquete correct! Love your material.
What I find weird is a few people these women interacted with also died - including two fellow tourists and the cab driver - all dead.
Coffee brewing, I find your latest upload :) You sound almost like your old self, I hope you are feeling much better. Merry Christmas!
I know some van lifers that live there. They love it. They say it's an amazing little town. This is so sad.
Great presentation. Your methodology and approach to the subject is most respectfull. Your voice cadence and format is also exemplary. A job well done mate. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, I appreciate that and your kind words! Happy holidays to you and yours🙏
You're absolutely right, the dog returning that day indicates it left the women fairly early on.
There was no dog with them. The restaurant owner made up the dog story to get publicity for his restaurant.
@@duras200 that makes sense... if they were with a dog, surely there would be pictures of the dog. Perhaps the dog is a red herring.
Thank you for this respectful and compassionate video. Amazing job.
Anyone approaching the case neutrally has to admit the locals involved gave suspicious statements:
- Miriam saying she waited up till 11pm for the girls to come home, but never actually called them.
They were liars .
With ALL the evidens, I think that defenedly this was not an accident. I think they were prisoned for days somewhere and after that it was tried to stage as an accident. Hope that this case will be opened for investigation that the that truth would come out and relatives could have some peace.
Happy Christmas mate! Luve your vids! take Care n be healthy =)
They reach the summit, they get hijacked and taken to be tortured etc. One gets killed and then a week later the other one gets killed. Their belongings were retained and then scattered to confuse investigation. The answers lay in the autopsy report....
Smartest comment here.
Amen to that!....
My condolences to their families. What a heartbreaking tragedy. I hope who did this to them is caught and prosecuted.
RIP Kris and Lizann.
They did it to themselfes. Unfortunately
This is a 3rd world country and they we’re all alone in a secluded jungle. They were dismembered.
@@chodkowski01 Yeah, by the Jungle
You are so special Bryan. amazing how you present cases, thorough and compassionate.
the one that very mysterious is the time stamp. i made my research to align their phone log and their picture date. they lost at 1 april and start calling for emergency number but no signal. the red hair girl phone start asking for pin numbers around 5 april meaning she's already unconscious that her friends operated her phone without knowing her pin numbers. what very strange is at 8 april at the night photos there's picture of the red head girl taking from the back showing her hair in very good condition not like the hair of somebody that lost for more than a week. and the worst is the red head girl phone keep asking for a pin numbers until 11 april. think about it, this is a massive sign of a foul play.
Appreciate the channel. Merry Christmas my friend!!
It's up loads just like this that adds to the misinformation , contradictions , confusions and it's so repetitive .
Merry Christmas. God bless you and yours. Thanks for being so kind, thought full and truly caring about people and the love ones left behind..
Merry Christmas Bryan
Merry Christmas Bryan. I love listening to you.
merry Christmas, Im glad I'm here at the beginning of this channel. can't wait to see it get popular. this guy Brian seems awesome.
IKR? I’m
loving his videos. I hope he achieves massive growth w/channel!
Thank you Bryan, you are just the sweetest of all. God Bless You and your big ❤️. 🙏
This case really bothers me. I hope the family finds out the truth.
Same,those poor girls :(
I enjoy your channel!
Exactly! And do much more that proves they were raped and murdered
