@keller blair he's indeed a semi legendary character but his sons truly existed, for instance Ivar the boneless and Bjorn ironside are important in History, Ivar settled in Irlande and Bjorn in sweden
I never got into Assassin's Creed, but I get a kick out of watching their trailers with all the setting changes.

why not? you missed a lot, one of best franchises ever imo. Some games are more stealthy, while newer are more like rpg , but most important they gave like 10 games in different historic places to experience with real historical people.... completed all games few times, no other game besides witcher 3 gave me that much of fun.

@@ichers8965 not many better than assassin creed franchise to be honest, i would tell maybe 5 6 games better than AC, but not more, and any gamer who loves great story and awesome gameplay are fans of this.

This game is apperently going to have the ability to build and construct villages/bases. Assassin's Creed games are always interesting as every game is set in a different time period or close to another's time period. They take you everywhere from ancient rome (Odyssey), italy (All of the Ezio character's games), medieval periods (Assassin's Creed one), the renaissance/french revolution(Assassin's Creed Unity), the civil war (Assassin's Creed 3 you play as a Native American in this one)), the Caribbean during the period of pirates (Assassin's Creed Blackflag) and every game has historically accurate characters such as Blackbeard, Captain Kid, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and soooo many more. They are are really good blend of fantasy and history and very good storylines
Just a little correction Odyssey is in Ancient Greece not Rome

Also ac3 was during the American revolution in the 1770s while the the civil war took place in the 1860s

@@gellertgrindelwald4238 yeah I've watched Last Kingdom and Vikings so pretty clued up on it. Alfred did wage war on Vikings? But also created Danelaw in the North and christened Guthrum. So I'm guessing that'll be the end of the game. And freeraom extends from that

Very excited for the new setting. It really feels like Norse stuff have become very popular in media over the last couple of years. Between tv shows like Vikings, The Last Kingdom, all the thor movies, games like god of war and now AC Valhalla. There's been so much already but i still want more.

I love the assassin's creed games, they are my favorites, i have play almost all of them, and this game it seems that its gonna be amazing. If you guys like greek mythology and spartan history, I highly recommend you to play Odissey, it is my favorite of all so far. (I just finnish to see the video and now i know you started playing odissey, jeje sorry, i just havent able to watch must streaming lattley, bad internet)
@Worst Channel First, I never said that I considered myself a gamer goddess, I have played many games and I know that I am not even close to knowing EVERYTHING about ALL the games, anyway I don't know why my opinion seems invalid and I don't know why you have that need to speak to me as if i was a ignorant or stupid person. For me Odyssey is in the top 5 games that I adore, I know that it doesn't have much connection at the story level of the others assasin's creed, but I still love it, and that is fine, you may love other things that are not the same as mine so have a little respect.

A bit concerned on how the Izu will be incorporated into the mythology, but apart from that, the game looks amazing. These games are best played with history playing in the background. It's all about the Assassin Creed and the story of that brotherhood. Can't wait.

Generally the term holiday season refers to Thanksgiving to Christmas. So this year it's Thursday, November 26 to Friday, December 25. Ideally the new consoles should be in the stores by black Friday November 27.

AC 2 is my favorite but it has aged a lot. More recently black flag which is an excellent pirate game.

I like the idea of a assassins creed game in a viking world but they have done the same thing as the vikings tv show makig the vikings fight in leather or with little armour etc which is annoying
If your started playing assassin's creed, then i would suggest you to play it from the beginning from Part 1. It's a story How they All Became An Assassin...PS: Just Watch the Cutscenes..

Starting with Odyssey... better to set your expectations for the series low I guess

You should play the Ezio Triology. Odyssey is a fun Game, but way too big and does not realy derserve the Name Assassin´s Creed.
Odyssey's map is a bit TOO big for me. Fun game but it seems never ending at times.
@@redfishrambo5761 Yes, I agree. It also just looked nearly the same everywhere and most Locations are just copy and paste.
It took me 220h to complete the Game with both DLCs and on Nightmare difficulty, which was way too long.
@@youngstar312 I don't mind a long story actually but it felt almost like I was just going in circles. There is some beautiful locations but you're right about them all being very similar, that probably had a lot to do with feeling like I was going in circles too. I never reached max level either, it's way too much of a grind. I finished the game at 68 and I had 31 more levels to go before I capped, and there just wasn''t enough there to make me want to do a 2nd playthrough to try and max out.
