Don't know why but as a 35 year old bloke, listening to this song brings floods of tears. Maybe it's just nostalgia. I had a good youth and I'm doing ok now but, this just brings back feelings I can't explain.
I think it is a reminder of better times. In the sense of when the responsibility of adulthood wasn't there and you don't realise how much more personal freedom we really had to enjoy things. Also, being a kid in the early 2000s and privately moshing out to tunes like this was just a great time. I'm 36, and days like this seem only yesterday. Time just goes too fast.
To everyone in this video- thank you so much for one of the most wonderful memories of my life- this video still makes unbelievably happy after all these years. You absolute stars. 20 years ago this year !!! Less than 2m views?! What?! This song was huge. Happiest time of my life.
When I got my first PS2, Gran Turismo 3 came with it(also MGS 2), and I preselected the tracks which mostly consisted of Feeder, especially this song. I remember vividly playing it in the corner of the room on a small tv with headphones whiles my brother slept(we shared a room) . This song honestly made me addicted to Gran Turismo and I'm forever thankful.
My mom died of cancer last year in June 2021, this song takes me back to the old days when she was still around… appreciate what y’all have right now because one day it’ll be gone
Well we are fatter , more depressed and up to our eyes in debt with a huge mortgage working 60 hours a week to make ends meet .... Stay young kids and don't grow up its a trap
What a great band. When I was the in the Army 99-05 I was into these guys big time, was always playing in our block. Great memories everytime I hear a Feeder song. Thanks for the brilliant songs that accompany my memories....
I went to CEX brought this game 5 days ago. Replaying it and I love it when this song comes on, probably about 7+ years since I've played this even more
Oh they overplayed that Tenacious D song so much it annoyed me in the end. Cannot listen to it these days without thinking of Kerrang because it was in K-Loadeds number 1 for weeks and made Wet Wet Wets all around seem like it was number 1 for only a month, let alone 4. Was the same with Staind and Fred Durst "Outside" but I wasn't a fan of that song.
20s here. This was my childhood and along with early 2000s Kerran it has shaped not only my musical taste but also my artistic style as an artist. Kerrang was good back then. I miss those days. Things were simple back then of course I was just a child then but I was always ahead of other people my age and more aware of the world around me
You know what, my first comment didn't do this song justice. When this song came out I was in a bad place in my life, I was 19yrs old and really emotionally unstable. This song got me through some really dark times, thank you Feeder you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Im so fucking glad it did.. the bad themselves had hard times. many of the members did and if this made you reach out nad feel happy it did its job you are never alone
That’s awesome!! It’s a great song and the video is even better. Love that it’s full of friends rocking out together without a care in the world. Glad it was a help to you when you were down
I'm 52 in three weeks, and I'm pogoing around the workshop floor with the boys and girls half my age at work who are crying with laughter and joy because they've never heard of Feeder, and love them as much as we did twenty years ago. LET'S GO ALREADYYYYYYYYYYYY.
Back when kids just didn't care about how many likes they got, lived in the moment, had a real good time. Good things have come from social media but it came at the cost of this. Wonder what they're all doing now..
I was thinking about it, and I think we should rather place the blame on smartphones rather than social media. When there was MySpace and Facebook, my friends were all still active outside of home and posting on your social media was something you'd do after the day is over. Now it's all upside down - people are on their phones most of the time, with occasional exchange of words. Sad.
Young people have never enjoyed having conversations.....I mean, in the 1990s we did it more, because we had less choice, but it was not something you looked forward to. And as soon as the internet came along, we moved our social lives onto it. I mean, first we used e-mail. Then we moved onto chat rooms. Then it was instant messaging. Then, when mobile phones got popular we used them exclusively for texting (never for calls!). Just saying, not that much has changed. Even in 1998/1999 young people never spoke to eachother - we were mostly emailing.
Randomly woke up at 4am on a work night with this stuck in my head and couldn't get back to sleep!! I miss these days soooooo bad!!! Dammmn times were so much better back then lol!!
One of the greatest music videos ever. Pure, care-free and joyful! I always feel a little sad when this first starts, sad for times long past and how far my life has moved on/changed but then the music kicks in and I start rocking out like I'm in the video. Instant mood lifter!
Ok - the girls - two of you, choke collar thingy and the one with the feeder top over the white long sleeve I HOPE YOUR LIVES ARE WORKING OUT WELL - I see you and I feel happy - we are not all by ourselves - GOOD LUCK
..Nah, Kerrang would play the same thing all the time. It was either this, Blink 182, Linkin Park or Rammstein. They never really had variety like MTV2 or early Scuzz.
