I was born (1992), raised and still live in Poland. Hence the accent.
I play all Sims games (on PC). Although, The Sims 4 I can only play in Polish due to language restrictions, that's why you won't see it much on this channel.

i'll never forget one of my oldest TS3 save files. It was right after Generations came out and I made a new family, a single elderly sim named Susan with a life goal of becoming the president. I used to play with aging off so I played this one sim for YEARS. Susan lead a very sucessful life, fulfilled her life long goal and had many hobbies like collecting gem stones and being best friends with her car. at some point i had her make an elixir of life and suddenly i no longer had an elder, but a young adult. Decided to marry her off to Christopher Steel but my game was so laggy it never let me move them in together. They had a child which annoyed me to death so i sent him off to military school, also made Susan a vampire. Proceeded to cure her out of the vampirism at some point and when University expansion came out, I sent her off to college. She died on her first day, crushed under the vending machine. Oh Susan, how I miss you

I have my first family that we made with my sister. We were very excited to use the Showtime expansion, so we made Marilyn Monroe. We absolutely loved her little family with 2 cats. She had a husband Willard, son Stuart and even grandchildren, but save got corrupted so much that we couldn't get it back. I didn't know back then what mods even were, so we couldn't even prepare for that. I have promised myself that I'm going to be a programmer one day, just to repair this file. What's funny, I actually am a programmer. I have the job of my dreams. And still, I can't fix this one save file ;(
Omg i remember once i played with one family that consisted of a female ghost who had twin baby girls with Parker Langerak-one ghost and one human baby.I switched to another household for a sec and when i came back the ghost baby WAS GONE!!! I was so sad but i managed to incorporate that in my storyline somehow🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.This family lasted 5 generations before i got bored, it was one of my favorites to play,i miss the Sims 3 now😭.
Absolutely the same thing happened to me! My sim had a baby with Edward Dregg from Isla Paradiso though
Bugs are always a...nice direction in families story lines. I had a undying sim and it was a lot of fun to play with that bug
I remember creating an immortal babysitter in Generations just to watch story progression. I expected the kids I sat would grow older and have their own kids. But they kept passing away as childless elders with single-person households moving in in their place. Eventually we ran out of toddlers.
That sounds so ominous haha, “Eventually we ran out of toddlers”😂
It's always cool to see old save files. It's cool to see how much a town can change after years of gameplay. xD
The pudding face problem has always reminded me of the second-face curse of Pleasantview, but oh boy. Pudding faces invade your game even more :D And yay for the Sims 3 videos!
Terrance and Philipp made me nostalgic. I had a whole town where I tried to recreate South Park characters and played as Tweek and Craig. Fun times
I remember ultra-obsessed with recreating characters from the shows in TS3 with their personalities and appearances being accurate. I had a Scrubs-themed Sims 3 safe file, Community-themed one and much more. I was starting a new one with every show I got into. South Park was my very favorite because there is so much freedom while creating the Sims - you can't tell a lot about a South Park character's appearance from the design 😅 Picking the traits was the best part
Actually, I think I have at least one Tweek in every part of the Sims except for Sims 1, lol
And of course, the first sim in TS3 I ever created was myself. Haven't we all done that? This video made me sad that I don't have those ancient save-files anymore
omg can you tell me about the second-face curse in pleasant? I've never heard of that before!

Sorry if that sounded dramatic, it's just that every second sim there has a second face template (Don, Cassandra, Mortimer, the Burbs), therefore they look very similar and as a result the kids look very similar too. They started playing around with the sliders more in the newer hoods, but Pleasantview's same-face syndrome can be annoying 😅
Cassandra has the English face with curved lips. In the Goth family, they all look unrelated. Sliders yield sharp corners. Later customized faces look like crumpled paper when they pull the cheeks in. It is a blessing of beauty to join the showbusiness career, not a curse.
I wish I had kept my really old saves, I’d love to look back on them now :(
the sims 3 came out when i was three, i started playing when i was six. pretty much grew up with the game. my save names went from pure stupidity to absolute vulgarity.
i'd always steal agnes crumplebottom's house, age her up until she died and just ruined her life even further. after finding out her backstory years later, i felt such sympathy for her and she's now one of my favorite sims.
last time i played (cant play currently since my mac cant handle it) i had maybe five horses show up at my front door. FIVE. i ended up trapping them. (my memories were always vulgar as well, so i go onto my account from time to time just to look at my entries)
edit: also, my simselves husbands always happened to die horrible deaths... later found out i was a lesbian so that was pretty funny to me
The five horses😂 Too true. Last time I played Sims 3, I had like 5 ghosts show up at my front door.
I am so envy of you that you still have your old saves! 🙈 All mine have managed to broke at some point.... 4 generations max and then a forever freeze bug :/ so I deleted them one by one.... now I try to come back to Sims 3 and set everything in order... But it is easier to just play legendary sims 2 😝
Same, my first save file was hit with Error Code 12 in the second generation and the thirteen year old inside of me has never emotionally recovered from that.
I inherited my dad's old computer when I was a preteen. AndI never switched families in a save, I made a family and played that family until I got bored. My longest and oldest game was a family of vampires. I got that sucker up to ten generations!
Aand then the pc just gave up on me and I lost all everything. Had to completely restart on my new (now current) laptop
Which will also soon be replaced because it's five years old by now and will soon be six years.
I think that's the ugliest thumbnail I've ever created... Probably because it includes my handwriting 😂

The whole cloning thing is the reason why I don't allow story progression in my game and I just play families in rotation. I rarely get past 3 generations because it takes so long but it's better than Sims cloning themselves.
i have nraas mods and sliders and omg...idk if i prefer the pudding face/cloning thing or the way my save with nraas mods generates new sims. they all have such different features but it comes out in such a weird way! some have such tiny heads and disproportionate bodies, and i accidentally left a height slider in my mods folder, so there were freakishly tall and short sims 😂
@@liv4050 when I tried to set up the generation of new sims through nraas story progression, my game began to slow down ungodly. So I don't use this thing anymore, I'm just glad there's still a Lazy Duchess out there who made a mod that fixes pudding face

If I could somehow get back my oldest saves, I would just cringe so hard... Highlighter colored hair, blocky houses, y'know all that fun stuff kids do in Sims in the very beginning :'D
My oldest savefile was about a family composed by three teen sisters, their grandpa and a gold digger maid. One of them d1ed of hunger and had a ghost baby who completly disappeared from my game, then she and the third sister vanished after going to work. Long story short after the last death I turned Sunset Valley's art gallery into their historian museum since the second sister was a painter and I had a lot of portraits, then I lost everything because of Error 12 while saving.

The main story I remember having in a Sims 3 file was a legacy family that reached 5 generations, in which the founder was a vampire. I built a crypt in their basement and the founder lived in a secret underground apartment attached to the crypt. It was meant to be fully locked, but occasionally a townie would get down there, which would lead to the founder biting them. I eventually came to realise that I’d kinda messed up when about 70% of the city was suddenly vampires and I ended up killing off most of them, leading to my first real discovery of the pudding face.
I still like the idea of a legacy where the founder is secretly alive right to the end. Might revisit that one day.
Honestly I would love to see a playthrough of you trying to un pudding this whole family.
My first sims file was so funny looking back. I made a sim, had a toddler who was born bald. I didnt know you could change it so I kept playing until they were a child and deleted it because they were still bald ;u; good times lol

This makes me really excited to keep going with my current random legacy/just for fun legacy to see how far I can get. I'm currently starting the third generation and my founder is about to become an elder. This is the longest I've ever actually played with a family. Typically I move in a YA sim, get them a job, get a few levels in and quit because I'm bored lmaooo

I loved seeing your old save, it's always so fascinating getting into the history of a long save file. Also it's funny how you renamed Cyclone to Billy, since in my Sims 2 Sunset Valley he gave birth to an alien son thanks to story progression that was named Bill by the game.
the oldest family i made in this game was an extremely awful representation of myself. i used to play by just teleporting around and with needs static, sometimes i would do something like get a job even though i had like 5 billion dollars. i was 7 years old, the save is lost to time. obviously, i play properly now :D
My experience with an old savefile: my active Family was a family of 5 and when I loaded up the game, the Sim icons on the left of the screen were replaced with the same icon, which had a Sims 2 Sim, and you had from top to bottom 8 icons, and from left to right 3 icons in total 24 Pictures of the Sims 2 figure in my Sims 3 game

I used to play the sims 3 on a laptop so bad that every face looked like pudding and tweaking facial features in CAS didn’t work at all. Also the game was extremely slow but I didn’t complain. I was so happy I could get it to run at all. It was so much fun anyway!
I myself still have an old laptop with the game and most settings are low, but the character settings were maxed out so the genetics are still noticeable. I even installed the smooth patch. But nothing can be fixed with 2 GB RAM

I remember one of my first Sims 3 save files! It was during a sleepover with my friend. A sim died during my friends wedding ceremony and it was pretty scarring bwahha!

Have you tried the advanced genetics module I think for story progression. I'm a b**** who loses a lot of sliders and so it's been one of the best things for me I think.

It would be impossible for me to have a save file from when I first started playing the sims 3...they would all corrupt at some point and I'd have to delete it. And no, I had no cc lol but I sure did keep playing knowing full well I could loose everything someday.
I was 8 years old, I had the most ordinary sims family in the world, 4 people. I had a situation when the youngest in the family was fishing and had the "Endless Fishing" option selected, but I didn't know about it and I panicked and gave him a lot of interaction just to make him stop. I had really similiar situation with the same sim when he got stuck and sat on the bed when the school bus was leaving the house and I was furious that he didn't want to move from that bed, he didn't move from it until around noon.
I have never got past 2 generations in any sims game because I get bored and delete the save file.
My first sims 3 save was a girl named Roxie who lived in Bridgeport and aspired to be a famous actress, yes she was inspired by the musical Chicago
Typically when i played the sims3 majority of the time i made a sim and played with them for like 2 hours and then make another new sim. I didn't really go deep into the family until like a year or 2 later. But my first family that was a bit longer had some issues with it as time progressed as well. I didn't really know about mods, I used the sims3 exchange to get all of my cc at the time (BIG MISTAKE) but I played the family and one day with the mom got home from work (had 6 kids in the family) the twins and the dad were just gone. They would appear in the family tree but not in the actual game...i was like...HE JUST TOOK THE KIDS AND LEFT. like WTF!? how rude. After that family it progressed to about 6 generations and i don't have the save file anymore.

I no longer have access to the save but back on my dads laptop when I was 11 I made a family: mom, dad, daughter, cat, dog & horse. Each family member having their own pet. The parents later had another daughter. On the 1st daughters bday when whe was supposed to be a teen she got stuck in the air and neatly starved / meaning she and her sister would be taken by cps. I remember crying bc I didn't know how to cheat until my dad came to the rescue by enabling cheats and teleporting her back on the floor & cheating her hunger up a bit so she had time to grab food ahaha
Said older daughter in that save also caught a rat that I put on the 2nd floor and forgot about so it starved, while family suddenly ran upstairs crying about it and it took ages to be able to clean the cage up bc everyone was interacting with it

nraas story progression is crazy, it's why I use simlers mod instead as story progression progresses at an actually manageable pace xD

It took me several years for me to notice the pudding faces and, even then, it took someone on The Sims Forums educating me. Then again, not only am I face-blind, but I’m a clone of my dad with my mom’s colors irl, so maybe the clones just seemed normal to me and, thus, didn’t stand out.
Children and couples in Sims 3 can often be born as copies of one of their parents. For me it's a pity that with some patch the function that sims living in town have children who are copies of them, at least they have their genetics, which can be added to the family and pudding face could be ignored. and I still can't find settings in the nraas story progression for homeless nps and service. Sometimes with the old ea-story progression, they could move into empty house. I'm currently using a mod from the Lazy Duchess, but I still don't really like the fact that it uses a default face preset from CAS

Once I made a guy in TS3, and he impregnated everyone in Sunset Valley. He had like 300+ children. The game was super laggy at the end, and saving the game took like 20 minutes.
I don’t know nothing about pudding face in the Sims 3 before some videos. I only can say that I don’t like to play in Sims 3 because it doesn’t have any story progression.
And when I had a progression mode my computer crashed.
My first Sim married Cycl0n3 too!
She lived with her sister and they visited the future before she settled down with him. The sister still stayed with them and they had a little redhead baby. I remember finding out he had another love interest and being pissed lol I had her chew him out for that.
She had bright mint hair and her sister had brown with purple streaks (a typical kid thing to do I guess...though I still give my Sims 3 Sims fun hair colors just bc I miss create a style for hair)

I had a sims 3 family that I played for 11 generations and then I had to unistalled my game(due to CONSTANT lag and crashes) but forgot to copy the save and lost it :') I miss the Tinsleyzz family SO MUCH (I have their ENTIRE family tree documented on my phone)

in my game for some reason, michael bachelor and mortimer goth disappeared with no trace. in the family trees they are listed as "alive" but they have no realationships to their families and they are not at the cemetery either.
I remember exact same moment, game sent me notification that sim decided to leave city, since he didn't find friends and no one spoke to him. He stayed in the tree, but disappeared from the relationship panel

@@eyocabbage8649 It's a pity I didn't know at that time that the grave of any person who died in Sims town can be found in the mausoleum. Well, for example, if a Sim dies of old age, his grave never remains on the lot where he died (except for the lot of your active family) but it seems to me that the game completely removes them

They all have a round face with plump cheeks. I've never played the game to look up close, but on pictures allthe characters look very similar. Like the latest Disney's cartoons.

The baby appearing dead in the family tree. I actually had an issue like that too.. but the sim it happened to for me was a young adult.. he was the kid i was gonna continue playing with so to make sure some new kids were being born (cuz i couldn’t find any young sims in my town for him to marry i ended up making a girl for him and everything) but when i came back he was nowhere to be seen. And according to the family tree he was dead.. i was so fucking pissed and distraught
Nras mastercontroller. You could locate the missing sim by going onto the family tree through master controller and right+left click on the missing sim located In the family tree and press master control. Basic and invite over
She knows and doesn't need it. She shows old game mechanics from a time when nraas mods weren't a thing. besides, this save file is already boring and buggy, and she won't keep playing it

I think the game gets rid of excessive amount of sims by killing random folks in town. I had children dying in my game, too. That's creepy as hell, ngl.

Got the Late Night Expansion for my birthday when I was a child. I created a family with 2 children and moved them to a starter house. The woman got pregnant and wished to move to a loft. I didn't know what a loft was and moved them to a crappy apartment, with no fire alarm. I guess yk where this story is going. Everything caught fire on the first day. The woman started giving birth IN THE FIRE. Children died, husband died and a newborn is on fire. Idk but as a child I got so mad at that woman for not only making everyone move to a worse place+birthing instead of extinguishing the fire, that I just turned of the PC, since I couldn't quit the game.
The sims 3 is so complicated i can't seem to understand how to play it! The open world system and full customisation is pain
for Sims 3 there are a lot of guides for the entire existence of the game, it is difficult but even interesting

Yep, early versions of game killed babies due to overpopulation. Maybe they still can. In my game, Jared Frio's children died like that, I got notifications that they died due to 18 lightning strikes at a pool party with a lightning rod

I don't have my first save file anymore and I'm glad. I also started with my simself, but that was long before I knew I was non-binary, so said simself had my deadname, and it was also before I knew I was a lesbian, so she had 2 kids with *Hank Goddard* of all sims.
