I actually don't use the FOMO method anymore, now that I charge for shipping, and also found the Number 7 USPS box. I still wrap them the same, but I don't use the Padded flat rate to ship anything other than clothes.
I am so very glad it was helpful! Mugs are my favorite to sell, and these methods have helped me save so many lovely mugs form being smashed and trashed and go off to a new home
If you ship from US to Canada you can use a usps padded flat rate. It is a different cost but still a lower flat rate and has a weight restriction of 4lbs
This is supper carful shipping , I will share my mug shipping with you by sea if you like , you look careful person in your life too , I hope the best for you
Hello, my labels are being adjusted by USPS..supposedly a machine does adjustment now.. if this package goes through a machine..how can it detect its a flat rate padded envelope? Im only curious cause i've gotten so many adjustments with box size 6x6x6 for 11oz mugs :/ It was because i was shipping First Class i even had put 15oz weight on stamp..but no luck i've gotten adjusted these past 4 days over $200 :O First Class isn't working for me..So Im guess now i have to go Priority yet,, i've tried it on a few mugs and im still getting adjustment.. not sure what im doing wrong. All boxes are 6x6x6 or 4x4x4 they say the weight is 1lb 2oz for box in mug. yet the adjustments are so far apart in dollars for every package.
I have a digital scale I weigh everything on before I put dimensions and weight into eBay. It sounds to me that your scale is off so it’s showing less than actual weight. I made sure to check my scale against two mail scales before using it and I always round up to the nearest ounce. So if it shows 14.1oz I’m putting in 15 ounce to make sure. I’ve never received an overage charge. Are you shipping through eBay? If you are taking packages to the post their first class ends at 13 ounces not 16 ounces.
How many layers of bubble wrap do you use? I have been shipping my Rae Dunn mugs with just three layers, but some of the women in these Facebook groups use like at least 8.....
Two layers with the bubbles facing towards the mug. As long as you have the Kraft paper as the first layer and cardboard as the outer layer; I’ve only ever needed two layers of bubble. This video is 9 months old and I have not had one thing arrive broken yet 😄
@@B0BBuys I notice you go into a better detail then Jason who I watch a lot of viedeos. first time we did this is broke when we dropped it on purpose, my DH said not going to ships this way. We only had bubble wrap and cardboard around it, no other paper. Will try it your way, drop it and see if it doesn't break.

I use 6"x6"x6" boxes now so I can accommodate 14 ounce mugs as well, which you can order *here: amzn.to/3a62Kps
Great video, very good way to wrap and ship them. I didn’t Choose the mug life, the mug life chose me.
I love that last sentence, because it’s true!
I don't think that you're a dork. You're providing great advice to your fellow resellers. I think that that's commendable
This is very sweet thank you. I should probably update this video.
That’s great advice about wrapping twice or using the cardboard roll. Ty for the tips😊👍💐
