I work in an office with both Architects and Engineers and come from an Architecture background, myself. In working with the Engineering side, they weren't as big on the 'analyze' bit, especially when it came to how to present information. I'd share my thoughts on how to improve and they felt I was being really critical. My thought was that maybe, given their engineering background, they're used to that 'one answer' bit, and so when I'd share thoughts on improving, it was seen as me telling them they were wrong. Of course, maybe I was too critical! Or maybe because it's more in the 'soft skill' area, they just treated it like clothes and didn't see any worth to trying to improve that portion!
You are a nice, funny and humble guy / engineer. I learned / learned a lot from all your videos. I will start studying for Civil engineering degree in one of the best universities in Sweden this autumn. I am currently reading first semester in social works but do not like working with different people who have different problems and plus with lower salary for more than 30 years. I have never worked in the construction industry in my life and it gives me fear. The reason I want to study this education is that I like design and drawing houses and I am a bit creative person and plus the education is international and would like to work in the US or any other country in the future. Do you have any advice and tips against my fears or choices? ? Thanks :-)
Omg the last part about learning something...since marrying my husband I’ve learned that blue cat’s eyes indicate a fire hydrant, there are survey markings in the roads, and the list goes on. He’s amazing at science and math but can’t seem to figure out that a piece of chicken doesn’t need to be stored in a gallon sized ziploc bag. #booksmart #notregularsmart 😂
I have done Bachelor's in Architecture. Am I eligible to join Masters's in Construction management course? Since I haven't done Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Does this matter in my future career if I choose this course at the Masters level? Thankyou.. love your content
I mean as a Engineer I disagree about the grey area theory. I am not sure about other majors, but there would be a lot of grey areas in EEE. How one engineer approach a problem could be completely different than one another, while both could be equally valid approaches. And whether a fault is caused by the error on embedded software engineer or us is also a debate the existed on every project since software engineering came to existence. Also I would like to add that I absolutely hate math, and simulation software and approximations are my best friend :)
Your videos have been so helpful, Kienen! Some information has proved very valuable as I was writing articles for my job, so thank you for making these videos and sharing your experinces.
Hi Kienen, I was wondering what I should specialize in as a civil engineer if I like creative work. Would a major in architectual or urban planning and design be a good choice?
Man I wish I could have discovered you again for the first time. Cause THIS would have been the video that would have made me subscribe. Love your work man!!!
“It’s Not the length of the vector, it’s how you apply the force” 😂😂😂 hilarious!
Lol
Damn I have the soul of an engineer.
Nice 🤙
Nvm i spoke too soon before hearing point #3, to clarify, glad to have you in my life as a platonic friend who happens to be an engineer
Lol
So glad to have you in my life!!

Could be all of that! Thanks for sharing!
Keep it up my man! Loving the videos. An engineer and construction coordinator from Vancouver!
Thanks Ahmad!!
This is why we have your channel !

Lol look at you remembering moment diagrams!!
Also my takeaway from this is that I need to buy a Gucci belt to prove #5 wrong 🤔
Lol yup just one belt away
Can you make a video about the similarities and differences between a Civil and Architectural Engineering.
One day!
Ask 3 engineers how to fix a chair and you'll hear 4 different ideas
Lol exactly
I have done Bachelor's in Architecture. Am I eligible to join Masters's in Construction management course? Since I haven't done Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Does this matter in my future career if I choose this course at the Masters level? Thankyou.. love your content
is still chances for fresh civil engineer to work in america or make shift career
Theres always a way
Lmao I am a licensed architect , what are the differences?
Lol you guys can draw better
Date ✍🏼 an ✍🏼 engineer ✍🏼

Totally agree with you. Just sent this video to all my friends and family so they can appreciate me more (I'm also a civil engineer) 😂
Hahaha right?!
bro you're actually lowkey hilarious 😂😂😂😂
Thanks bro!!
Hey man can you please do a video on your internship experiences and how to make sure you get a job from those internships. P.S. love the vids man👍
You were describing me perfectly until number 5 I’m an engineering student but in definetly dress well 🙂
Lol damn

I've heard that water resources in the public sector is pretty fun and requires creativity (somewhat)
My inspraition👍👍👍👍👍
Hahaha thanks Cleon
Math > socializing
Lol math doesnt let you down
what i'm wearing is the last thing on my mind.
Lol nice
Lmaoooo it’s point #3 for me
Lol the one we all care about
Will an Engineer be honest if asked if something is over engineered?
Everything is overengineered, it's safer that way.
Yes and yes. Litigation leads to over engineering.
Man I wish I could have discovered you again for the first time. Cause THIS would have been the video that would have made me subscribe. Love your work man!!!
Lol thanks so much!
Great Points
Thank you!
