Haha, I'm from Guilin and now pursuing my PhD at U of Michigan. Growing in Guilin kinda make me insensitive of the scenery there, but after spending a lot of time abroad, I found the scene of my hometown really fascinating again.

I would sit in the living room and listen to them play and when I got my first ever MP3 player I begged my dad to put this soundtrack on it. I legit started to cry just now by how many memories of my childhood this unlocked. Beautiful masterpiece.

Ya...nobody says that from the day 5.1 launched. Its gone down in history as one of wows best expacs, and while its earky raids were a bit meh Throne Of Thunder isnt called Ulduar 2.0 for nothing- it set a new bar of quality for wow raids, from boss fights to atmosphere (setting and music) and lore And 5.1 while it didnt have a raid was such a good patch it made people reevaluate the start of the expac and say "holy shit maybe it really Was good"
It is one of the best exapansions of the game's history wtf. There were only some people that said it was bad when the trailer dropped because pandas looked funny but after the release it was deemed a masterpiece by everyone.
Mop is my first expansion after seeing the trailer i was like, wow what a great cinematic, then bam im a mistweaver main lol i always visit pandaria when im bored im just immersed in the beautiful scene
People didnt like it mainly because the atmosphere of pandaria crashed with the one of that time , which was only destruction and desolated places, but pandaria is what we needed to give wow a new fresh face. pandaria is just one of the most relaxing places for me. MoP wasnt that bad as people said

There is really something very special about MOP's soundtrack.../sigh....all the time spent on Timeless Isle as well as participating in the serpent competition :)
When I leveled one of my characters up to 90 (after MoP was over) I spent like a whole month reliving the expansion lol, did all the raids and some dungeons and tried to get all BiS gear for MoP. Then I went to draenor and lost all that gear at level 105. Was worth reliving the expansion though.
I love the erhu in this song. It's really beautiful. Correct me if I am wrong, that is an erhu, right? I'm not well-educated with traditional Chinese instruments :/
