    Personally disgusted that my parishes stadium isn't included, we just installed a bus shelter bringing our seat count to 12!

    I actually didn't know the GAA had so many stadiums of that size. Also, the cricket ground in Malahide was a big surprise to me.

    The FAI are not co-owners of the Aviva Stadium, the just have a lease there. It is owned by the IRFU.

    • @IrelandInData
      @IrelandInData  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, thanks for commenting!
      The flags for each stadium actually represent the main teams that play there and not the owner. As both the IRFU and FAI fill the stadium for home international matches, we put both flags there. We'll update the description to specify this also :)

      @@paulneville7154 Ha ha! No it isn't. The IRFU owned a stadium in the part of Ireland with the most expensive land prices. The FAI owned two slabs of Carlsberg.
      The FAI have a lease. Once that lease is up they're out on their ear.

      You are a professional sport. The GAA is amateur yet they are better organised with more foresight. Learn from them.

      @@feargal2433not exactly that straightforward or simple why League of Ireland clubs don't have the best facilities - a major thing for the GAA is that is doesn't have any outside competition, it's big fish in a small pond, LOI is competing with 53 other leagues in Europe, GAA gets way more coverage and funding, LOI was left by the wayside when BBC and Sky started broadcasting the Premier League into Ireland in the 80s, millions of Euros gone into the English game an Scottish game.

      @@feargal2433 you're comparing two different sports that are in very different scenarios where soccer clubs have a lot more overheads such as having to pay their players and coaches wages, LOI is in a far more competitive situation. What is the answer then, what do LOI clubs do to copy GAA and become successful?

      Hi Aiden,
      To keep the video consistent, we used the GAA county flags based on the location of the stadium where the county plays its home games.

      Hello all, thanks for your comment!
      Just to clarify, our videos are aimed at educating and entertaining, and are not intended to be political in any way. We don't mention that the stadiums in this video are claimed by the Republic of Ireland or the UK, just a comparison of stadiums on the island of Ireland.
      All 32 counties are included as there is a lot of cross-over in interests (cultural, sporting, economic, geographical etc) which we think would appeal to a lot of people on both sides of the border.
      Thanks again for watching and we hope you enjoy our videos!
