Great to see the First Division covered. Eamonn Deacy is definitely the best in the league. RSC is decent but you're dead right about the pitch to stand distance, very hard to keep up a good atmosphere. The new Finn Harps stadium has gone through plenty of funding and planning for years and is partly built, it will be a great addition for Donegal. Bishopsgate would probably be the best in the league to go to but it's in the middle of nowhere, basically impossible to walk to it from Longford Town. The Carlisle Grounds are definitely my favourite as Bray is a lovely place to visit, very fond memories of away days out there.
Really like all your videos man. As an American who has always been interested in stadium architecture, living in Ireland for over 14 years now, I really appreciate you doing the niche😂 Irish 2nd division stadiums. Now why not a GAA stadium tour!? Keep up the good work dude! And thank you for remembering all our lost brothers and sisters who suffer from RLS. STAY STRONG 👊🤣
This is awesome! I would be interested to see you cover the GAA stadiums in Ireland as well. I think I remember hearing that most of those grounds have larger capacities than their LoI football counterparts
@@Beanbag777 I'd be interested in that video and I'm neither Irish or interested in Hurling football. Its like the guy above requesting Welsh rugby, I'm not Welsh or into rugby but I'd like that video. Because otherwise I would never come across these leagues and their stadiums so some of us can see some new things we normally wouldn't think about.
Great video love the restless leg advert. We love our 3 LOIs the premier, the first and the women's prem. You should do that league and Northern Ireland NIFL
The Canadian premier league might make for an interesting video, it's got a pretty eclectic mix of stadium sizes. Everything from 30k plus places shared with CFL teams to tiny non-league looking grounds.
The surface in Athlone is synthetic too. I’d go with EDP and Bishopsgate. You are bang on about how nice the cathedral is on the background during matches at Markets Field but the columns in the stand block the view and the away stand is a death trap.
As a fellow Aussie, I would love to see Portuguese Liga 2 Stadiums. So many unique ones, so large, some small. I enjoy your videos on Lower Tier league stadiums
Love these videos, would be amazing if you could do the Indigo Group Welsh Premiership rugby stadiums. Our league seems to always be forgotten about and overlooked. Some great old Welsh Rugby grounds in there.
Bray isn't struggling anymore, they got bought out i think in 2021 by Cabinteely FC. Bray is actually still in on Cabo's license, upon buying out the team Cabinteely moved their League Of Ireland operations to Bray, the youth and development teams are Cabinteely.
You can do Level 7 of English football. (Premier Division) in four parts. - Southern Division Central -Southern Division South -Northern Division -Isthmian Division. They have total 88 teams. It would be interesting to know about a lot of stadiums.
Fantastic video, I really admire the background work you do on the grounds and clubs. My home county is actually Wexford and Iv played at Ferrycarrig and the RSC, although I’m a Bohs fan (Bohemians). There are new stadium plans in the working for Finn Harps, Bohemian FC, Sligo Rovers and Shelbourne FC, while Tallaght Stadium is nearing a pretty nice end to its further expansion & development. Derry City are keen to expand the Brandywell stadium and St Patrick’s Athletic are in need for development of Richmond Park or an entire new stadium so I’d imagine if your (hopefully) still doing these videos perhaps in a few years they will look quite different for Éire (Ireland). I think you’d enjoy doing a GAA top 10 stadiums (another suggestion for the future 😌) ☘️ Thanks for a great video and looking forward to the next ones 👏🏼
Restless leg syndrome shouldn't be taken to lightly. How many people out there run around for no reason? Countless I say! Thanks for raising awareness on this serious topic.
Lucas Nestor Several reasons competition with the EPL and football not being the Biggest sport in the Country as such ,plus this is the second tier ,shamrock rovers in the premier division will be 10 000 in july when the last stand is finished
What money are you talking about, where did it come from ? I’m surprised there’s a league at all in Ireland, what with most people following sports no other country play, or supporting other countries leagues. I have tremendous admiration for the people who against all the odds have kept professional/semiprofessional football alive in Ireland.
I have always wondered why the league of ireland teams don't use rugby stadiums..aren't they bigger? And what happened to you bro ...u voice sounds very different very mellow
Not enough fans go to merit using other grounds and the only rugby grounds are in Cork, Limerick, Dublin and Belfast. GAA wouldn’t let football teams use the stadiums and the pitch dimensions are bigger for GAA.
Limerick fc played in thomond Park25000 while there stadium was being redeveloped ,they didn't fill it or near fill, and limerick fc don't exist anymore they have been replaced by Treaty United so playing in a big empty stadium did them no favours.Even if they could fill them ,rugby stadiums of over 5000 capacity are actually very thin on the ground as shrimpspurs said very few league of ireland teams would have one near them. Most of the stadiums in ireland are for Gaelic football and hurling which are run by the GAA ,but they only let Football/soccer be played in exceptional circumstances on their grounds, plus they are too big in terms of field dimensions.
Some of these stadiums are pretty cool, but I thought football in Ireland was much bigger then this. Maybe it’s Gaelic football stadiums that are far bigger?
Well it is big ,but the focus is on the PL in england so crowds tend to be smaller for the local league .GAA(gaelic football and hurling) stadiums are far bigger and attract far bigger crowds

Brilliant knowledge of the League of Ireland, very impressive!

You would be correct most GAA stadiums are considerably larger than league of Ireland stadiums
They are a way bigger ,both in capacity and playing area ,very few county grounds would hold less than 10 000 .
I can promise you more people care about gaa than the first division outside of Ireland…

Nice video.. pitching In Northern Premier League as always
Walked past Bray once while doing a Dart run between Bray and Howth. I'm sure it used to look a bit better than that but it was 22 years ago or so
Trying to get into Kerry FC is becoming a sport it's sold out every game. We are looking at having to do away games just to see our team.
Could you make a vid about the keukenkampioendivisie(dutch second division), there are a few class stadiums😊
