Hi Ogiber and thank you for the very good question. I had the cab simulation OFF. But I had the power amp simulation ON. The reason is that on the Fryette website it is described that the Fryette LX II was designed for producing a very neutral sound (quote: " The LX II’s “Linear” mode provides a full-range, flat-response signal from your amp to your speaker cabinet...". In addition there is a section in the official fractalaudio.com/wiki for "Using a neutral tube power amp" and it says: "keep Power Amp Modeling turned on". I hope this answere helps you. Feel free to ask any further questions. Best Regards 🙂

Fryette sounds a lot better. Tubes so no surprise.

Ugh I can’t for the life of me figure out how to connect these to my modeler properly. The Fryette basically only has some speaker outputs and I keep hearing about a 4 cable method. Do you have any recommendations on where I can find how to do this?

Hi donniejean 🙂 Let me try to figure it out. Please share more information about your setup. What modeler do you have? What is the exact speaker cabinet you want to connect it to? What is the Ohm value of your speaker cabinet? Best Regards Max
