One of Jim Carrey's best! Fun fact: at the end of the movie when the crowd is watching Fletcher hauled out of the luggage, Jim Carrey is actually in the crowd as his Fire Marshall Bill character from In Living Color. You can see the extras standing around him glancing at him and some are trying hard not to laugh.
I saw this in the theater. I loved it! His "overacting" style was PERFECT for this particular role! Love Mauara Tierney from "ER" as Abby Lockhart as well.
It's not "overacting", it's simply Jim Carrey being himself. No but for real, I like to think this movie was not a comedy until they casted him, Carrey is a phenomenon.
@@MaximeLafreniere433 hence the quotes. That's Jim Carrey's comedic style. It's over the top but he somehow sells it, especially this movie, which is probably my favorite Jim Carrey movie.
I can never get over the meeting one where he tries to get fired I was dying from laughter. Jim Carrey delivers any type of comedy when he is involved. 23:38
31:22 The problem with this defense is "in the real world" that then the marriage is also null and void, and she might be criminally charged with fraud.
After Fletcher gets done beating himself up in the bathroom and throws himself against the wall a couple of times and lands on the floor, that loud crack you hear is the sound of Jim’s head really hitting the floor hard. Nobody can say that man isn’t committed to his physical comedy.
31:18 Which should also make the marriage certificate void but since she lived with her husband for over ten years they're legally recognised as a married couple so even if their marriage was void she's still entitled to half.
27:06 yeah about that part cody you’re right due to the fact he loves improv the schedule was longer and cause a lot of frustration among the cast and crew
32:22 We don't know for a fact that she'll win sole custody though. The kids have a good chance of going with their dad. In any case, the difference between him and Reed is that that man is fighting to be with his children. They want to be with him because he's a good father and wants to be with them. Reed does love Max, but he's squandered every chance he's had till then to be a good father or even a father at all. His son isn't being taken from him, he's losing his son through his own selfishness.
I am so happy you reacted to this!!! This and Billy Madison were my childhood lol(older brothers). I’m only half in but couldn’t contain my excitement, I hope to see you react to the outtakes they are so good. When I was little and he was describing the guy who beat him up, I couldn’t figure out why he was able to lie about it… wasn’t until I was older I realized he was describing himself… I was not the most clever 6 year old
Oh no I could never watch some scenes as a kid because it hit to close to home. My dad wasn’t even a good dad because he was never around so the times he’d “promise” to meant more. I understand poor Max’s crushed feeling of his dad not showing up on his b-day and having work put first
21:47 More like what they said in the Nanny Diaries (side note, the book was a lot better than the movie): "But time is running out. He won't love you unconditionally much longer. And soon he won't love you at all."
As a kid I mostly watched The Mask, Ace Ventura, and Bruce Almighty. Liar liar is good I just as a kid couldn’t connect and there was a lot of cringey moments. 26:28 talk about a golden reaction! Lol! The fact he deliberately put soap in his eyes is wild and hopefully was fake soap.
This feels like God has placed a curse on Fletcher, which is making him capable of telling the truth and being honest from his heart and incapable of lying and deceiving.
i never realized as a kid but as an adult i do...of course it sucks Fletcher doesnt stop to play with max but he literally had less than 48h to prepare a case??? like no wonder he didnt sleep and he couldnt spare a minute that "honorable, pffft" and "nono" with his head to the stenographer has murdered since i was a kid hahahah
YAAAAAAAAAAS I love Liar Liar one ofJim Carry's best movies. Another great reaction Cody love your channel and reactions. I didn't know you were a wrestling fan Cody I'm a huge wrestling fan too
10:26 Can as good as see his fairy godmother watching over him and deciding to grant his wish because he's so sad. Or a more old fashioned kind of fairy (the kind that can be benevolent but also malevolent depending on their own whims but generally more chaotic and mischievous than we'd like to say today) deciding that Max is too cute to be sad and that it'd be funny to watch a grown man be incapable of lying
I loved that you reacted to this movie Cody probably one of my favourites from Jim Carey it’s just so hilarious 😂😂😂hopefully you do more movies with him in it but meantime thanks for this video and wait for the next one 😊😁😁 ps: I’m glad that you grew up watching wrestling too because I’m fan as well 😄😄😄
I could have sworn you just reacted to this, but I must be mistaken. It was I guess a different reactor I follow or somebody who was suggested for me but I could have sworn it was you who was on a Jim Carrey kick so it would have tracked for it to be you. So I was thinking is this a re-upload and then I was like no, I don't recognize that intro
My client lied about her age. She was only 17 when she got married, making her a minor. And in the great state of California, no minor can enter into any legal contract without parental consent, including...prenuptial agreements! This contract is void. The fact that my client has been ridden more than Seattle Slew is irrelevant. Standard community property applies, entitling her to half the marital assets, or 11.395 million dollars. Jordan fades back. Swoosh! And that's the game! Nothing further, your honor.
Just for kicks, and because I guess I had finished Netflix back in 2020, I watched this movie with the French dub and got a kick out of the fact that all of the outtakes were dubbed as well. Just think about the effort involved in that someone had to transcribe all of Jim Carey's various improvised antics (and the other actors' reactions), translate them into French, and then the French dubbing actors had to perform them and try to make them sound as spontaneous as they originally were.
@@ItsTotallyCody I mean this is the first reaction from a reactor I actively watch as far as I know, I didn't even know this film existed about a month ago.

weird how they made max "5" when the actor was obviously much older. like 9 yrs old when he was in this movie. probably the biggest lie in this movie was max turning 5 on his birthday😁

I've seen at least five reactions to this elsewhere, but I love enjoying it again vicariously through the eyes of a newbie.

You can never tell how much of a Jim Carrey movie is scripted and how much is just them leaving the cameras on him while he goes nuts.
Even the definite scripted stuff he exagerates and adds his own physical bits.
