I have both CH720 and XM4s, and I bought them together at same time. I love watching video and noise cancellation in XM4 and music and smaller weight in CH720, which I mostly use for traveling, walking outside everyday and for gym. XM4s I mostly use to watch videos and listen to music at home, to sleep anywhere I need to sleep and also on very long flights they are a savior.

I just got it yesterday. The sound quality is good for this price. The NC is at a good level but the material is not very good for me. ,It looks like the plastic of a cheap headphone. However, the sound quality and NC are satisfactory.
I’ve had a pair for six months. Bought to replace my expensive Bose earbuds which were worn out. I wear them on long haul flights and they’re excellent, plus you can plug them into the aircraft audio output. I’ve never run out of battery. You do need to run them through the app to get the best sound out of them.
I bought a pair of these with my Aeroplan points and right away it wouldn't charge and after hours of looking for a solution online, I had to take apart the right earpiece and disconnect the tiny battery pack from the circuit board for a few minutes then reconnect it and put it back together. It actually worked and they've been working just fine since. And they actually sound pretty damn good.
We’ve had them from launch and they have been used most days for long periods and we haven’t experienced any issues. We will update this if we do see a problem.
Do you know if Sony wh-ch720 has better sound quality than Sennheiser HD458BT? I only know Sony has better active noise cancelling.. but Sennheiser apparently has better audio quality? Please advise..😇
No, not with spatial audio. However, Sony has their own system of surround sound called Reality 360 Audio. These are not as widely used and mainly work well with music (on specific platforms like Amazon Music/tidal, not on spotify). I believe that most movies don't have this ability
How do they perform in instrumental music? Some claim that audio technica m20xbt is one of the best. If we compare Sony with these headphones? ANC doesn't really matter to me.
Audio technica is focussed specially for audiophiles, so go with the m20xbt, but keep in mind that they don’t have the most comfortable padding, you can buy an aftermarket ones that will boost the comfort
Sony is going for “over all” music, a little bit of everything, audio technica in general is focused on their very large range of Hz so for production level music
In Canada they cost me $150 and that is with the Amazon Prime day cost. What I don't like is the build quality -let earpods feel like they're going to be flat in less than a month and if you have ears that are not totally flat and inverted the hardware will press up against the curves in your ear because there's no padding on the interior other than the thinnest piece of foam which feels like it will rip if you touch it. Shocking that they are doing that at this price point

Since I'm cycling a lot and it's raining shytloads here these are not an option for me unfortunately :/ I still use the 60 euro JBL 500bt headphones for the last 4 years or so and it never let's me down, would these 720 be a good upgrade and are they water resistant?
@@haroldhenrymbendefo8214 it says that it has no official IP rating for being water resistant (not waterproof) but people apparently cycle in it and have no problem, still for this money I would not risk it if you have a lot of rain.

Need to fiddle with eq a bit cuz they're a bit muddy out of the box but also it's expected for the sound to be worse out of the box than it will be after ~50 hours of use, the membranes need to get going and that takes time. Compared tp my friend's xm1003 NC isn't as good but the sound is pretty close in terms of quality for a regular listener. Can't get new 3s anymore anyways, only second hand so i went with 720n after my good old marshall major 3 and that's definitely a step up even though they cost the same.
I've had the oportunity of testing the 720n vs the Philips tah8506 that are cheaper and honestly, Philips ONLY loses to transparency mode and the APP features, all the rest Philips is way better. Better anc by far, better sound out of the box by far, same Confort, better features for example the left hand on the ear CUP to talk to someone, hardcase, better mic for calls by far, and better looking... I dont understand why no One is doing reviews on the Philips tah8506 has they are One of the best budget headphones on the market, i can buy them under 100€ at the time. Philips is clearly underrated at this time
The ambient noise and mic are terrible on the Phillips, these are def better but you're right those Phillips don't get enough love they are a great headphone overall very similar in design to these aswell

For someone that has been listening to music through Beyerdynamics dt1770 with dac on windows. Do these have decent sound quality? I’m looking for something to pair with my steam deck to play games and such mostly. Not looking to pay over 90-100£ for a pair. Thanks
I'd explain it like this, Dt1770 is probably gonna be like eating at a solid local restaurant, and the Sony is gonna be more like fast food, but damn good fast food if you ask me

I found them to be medium level at noiSe cancelling.

Reports are that the foam on the ear cups don't stay firm over time, allowing ears to bottom out even more.
