It's funny. I'm old. In the '70s when I was in my teens and learning guitar, nobody played a telecaster. Almost nobody. It was only for country and maybe blues. Now they're the hippest guitar out there lol.
I'm surprised. The way you were hyping it up made me think you went with a Tele with a bit of a different shape that also had comfort carves and all that, but it's literally just a regular Tele other than the heel carve. It's cool, but it's mostly normal. I also wonder how MIM Fenders hurt you so much that you mistakenly thought they were made in China, and that you think they're bad guitars. I got a used MIM Strat last year to modify and it's one of the best guitars I've ever played, the other being my Schecter Omen 6. I've tried expensive guitars, they just feel like guitars. Did Fender pull a Legator and send you a guitar that had worse QC than any guitar you've ever played? 😝
I have a Mexi Strat from the 2000s myself and it's one of my favorite guitars. Only standard spec Strat I still own. The Player series is trash, though 😂 As for this Tele, I specifically wanted a complete standard tele that still excites me to play, there are plenty of alternative options out there that would have been cool but that wasn't the end goal
@@sevenstringtv I dunno, everyone's going to have different experiences. My guitar is a mixture of old and new since I swapped out the neck. Seems like the reviews are mixed on the topic, I would have a hard time believing they're inherently bad guitars though. Congrats on finding the Tele for you, I was just expecting something else from the introduction. :P
Wow, that PJD is a lot of nice details wasted on a weird-ass body shape. BUT- it's more of a Hayman 1010 body with a pointy horn rather than a Tele shape.
Not gonna lie,I wish Fender would move some colors from the Ultra series to the player series because those metallic finishes look really good to me but I wont justify $2,000 on a tele for the color alone.
So, it's a tele with 9.5" fretboard radius, medium nickel frets, wilkinson bridge, old style tuners... hmm... built in china... Must be hard trying to find a tele with those specs, my local guitar shop only has 666 of them for me to try out...
You can't generalize ALL Mexican made guitars like that. The Player series is absolutely sub-par for the price, it's made for people who look at the headstock more than they play the instrument
BTW - Fender Player series guitars are made in Mexico - not China.
Oops. Still terrible lmao
@sevenstringtv Agreed...not my favorite Fender series.
I have a Player I Jazzmaster and it’s great, but it is modded so maybe we’ve had different experiences
@@MilesOlsenMusic I don't think they are horrible... Mostly don't like the colors and for a little more you can get into a an American Fender.
@@DanielBobkeYeah, that’s fair, and the colors on player II look a little better. (My JM is a sunburst so it’s classic)
You can make any guitar sound the same with a buncha effects and compressed distortion
You can make any comment sound stupid if you don't know what you're talking about
@@sevenstringtv Sorry sweetheart, I know you have a guitar to sell but your signal chain makes it sound like any split coil Gibson copy
My £99 Fender Squire Affinity Strat doesn't go out of tune.
Do any tele go out of tune?
Wow, if you were to only have one Tele, that's quite a work of art to have. It sounds amazing too
This feels like a ad for a company that gives you guitars.
This feels like a really stupid comment given everything I said in this video
@ nah. It’s a ad. Be honest with your audience. Nice video though.
You know you can’t blame people doing their job

Kiddo's got bills to pay ffs
And yet another joins the Tele Legion.
Exquisite Tele / Cardigan pairing sir - Nailed it 😎👌

This feels like an ad but also I trust the intergrity of “if I don’t like it I won’t lie and say I like it”
Glad you trust it 🫡
Some don't, but I can't help those people 🤷🏻♂️

Leaving a comment for the Creed playing 😂
I built a Tele (made the body out of a solid block of walnut) it’s amazing and I now need several more teles. Also nice Bat Country cover lol
You had me at 6:18 .. I will never doubt the radness of a telecaster ever again
He had me at the Billie Eilish cover
I've ever like them either. But maybe one day.
everytime i watch one of your videos i just need to comment, thank you for making me appreciate my guitars even more
I had Patrick Hufschmid make me a baritone Telecaster with Kent Armstrong pickups.
🔥🔥🔥

Wow. For someone's who's channel is mostly about things you hate, I'm impressed.
Everybody always says this and it's not remotely true. Look at the last 20 videos I posted and see how many of them are about shit I "hate"
I have the same problem with Telecasters they either play bad or are super ugly
Me watching this video with my precious 7 string tele BGT7 by BaCH.
Love the three clasp opening shots and fuuuuuuuck me that's a lively guitar.

Have fun with those, I'll stick with this one that's actually good
It sounds great and it looks like a well made instrument, but it’s still ugly AF imo
Merle haggard telecaster.
Cool guitar and pretty sure is a well made instruments but to be honest: i didn’t like the clean sound
That insane dual-Telecaster is simultaneously the dumbest and coolest thing I've ever seen.
Nah the triple neck guitat from the apple event is more dumb imo
that pretty much sums up Michael Angelo Batios playing
Fender Player are made in Romania. Don't spread misinformation.
Fender player series bad wtf are you talking about. MIM guitars are nice and well made . Nice ad by the way 🙄

The guitar ugly but sounds nice af
