Watching Jim draw has given me insight and helped give me confidence in drawing. You have taught me work ethic and I know spend 14hours a day drawing and getting better Thanks Jim!
I would give my right hand to be able to draw like Jim Lee...Oh, wait, then I wouldnt be able to draw then...Nevermind... But seriously, you are the man Jim...I grew up trying to emulate your Wolverine depictions...Cant want for DCUO!
omgosh! i sooo want that picture it was cool!! i think i would have liked it better if he did the red on harley as well, but hes is brilliant!!! i wanna b able to draw like that!! " he's a genius"- harely quinn
just realized, when you first learn to paint and when you think about the most basic and adolescent form of painting. finger painting. yet, when you are older its an advanced technique and such a pain in the ass to make look right.
This kind of statement says that you dont know much about this stuff. Dale and Jim are extremely talented at what they do. Extensive study of the human anatomy, perspective, proportion... It all comes down to style and taste. Dale's anatomical style is a bit more exaggerated while jim's style is a bit less. You can't say one is better unless you're at their level and can make a intellectual judgement. Meanwhile, appreciate jim's talent.
wow i am very impressed, but if i may say *artist to artist* some of the lines maybe could have been bolded to stand out more, like around the moon and harly quinns feet. but im very impressed you are talented
@jaycr2006 yeah well i thought of that way of my drawings , but the truth mate is that if you dont fuck up one or two you'll never get the hang of it. Jim lee probably fucked a lot of "masterpieces" before he nailed down the mechanics of it. Plus, just see how the dude inks right on rough pencils whereas i would have first nail ALL the detail in pencil and THEN just outline with ink. It's just how many time you repeat a process that makes you the master of it.
Sometimes people that talk like you (dreamsxofxpain) draw like shit. I know someone that honed their talent and they're still not 100% so yes it can be somewhat of a talent.
too 90s? ... i guess composition wise it is kind of plain but... i don't even buy comics anymore because the art is so terrible compared to ones from the 90s.

It's irony that Jim Lee, who draws better than 99% of the people who write "How to draw" books, doesn't have his own drawing instruction book.
Curse you, 240p!
